Divisional round playoff football is one of the best events on the sporting calendar.  Through 30 minutes, we’ve enjoyed a real treat.  Brett Favre is on fire: he’s 15/19 for 133 yards and 2 TD.  Ryan Grant has 2TD and 91 yards to boot and the Packers stormed back from the early 14-0 deficit.  The only way for Seattle to compete in this game coming in was if the defense could hold the Packers offense in check.  That’s not happening, to put it mildly.Â

The Packers defense has been outstanding with the exception of one drive, holding the Seahawks to 5 net yards rushing through 30 minutes.  Ironically, Fox’s Darryl Johnston noted that Shaun Alexander is running as well as he’s seen all year – Alexander has 6 carries for 6 yards.  Historically, Alexander has underachieved in the playoffs to the tune of 68 yards and a 3.4 avg per game in 8 career playoff games (4 of those games with less than 50 yards rushing).Â

Pass-happy Holmgren will completely abandon the run after giving Morris and Alexander a few early 2nd half carries.  Hasselbeck is bound to toss an interception.  And Favre?  He’s averaging 6.6 yards every time he drops back to pass.  Not surprisingly, the stock market is surging.  I know, I know, it’s the weekend, but that’s Favre being Favre.

AMERICA!

ps: Hey Fox, we don’t want to hear Limp Bizkit and DMX Rollin’ remix, mmmkmay?
