Here we are for Game 3 of Round 2 in the Divisional Playoffs. It’s the Chargers at the Colts. You know the history between the two teams. This is a game that will be packed with hard hit after hard hit. If I had my way, WWE play-by-play man Jim Ross would be calling the game for CBS.
If you like defense and Dan Dierdorf, this is the game for you. There will be injuries, blood and plenty of “This is a real football game” comments. Antonio Gates is starting, but I’m going to guess in more of a decoy role if in fact his injury is as worse bad as reported.
The Colts D gave up the fewest points in the league this year and get Marvin Harrison back. The only chance for the Chargers is in the turnover game. Through 17 games, they’ve forced 50 and have the best plus/minus ratio.
Everyone on ESPN Countdown and the NFL Today on CBS has the Colts going over. I agree, but it won’t be easy. The Colts win, but the Chargers cover.
Who you got?

I hate to be That Guy, but the phrase “if in fact his injury is as worse as reported” gave me a migraine.
And the Colts win big, Rivers doesn’t impress me.

I don’t like Maddenesque comments. The ones that start with, “I don’t want to ___, but…”
I kid, I kid. It was an odd phrase.

I’ve got Eli to out-lick Peyton in the upset of all upsets.
Wait, what?

Hey Rick, Cocaine is a helluva drug, man.
Be Careful.

Patrick, I whole-heartedly agree. Jim Ross, although calling a scripted sport, is one of the best. His enthusiasm makes me enjoy Raw 10x more than the matches. As evidenced on last week’s Raw with the Steel Cage match and Mick Foley coming back.

JR was once the broadcaster for the Atlanta Falcons. I remember he did a great job with XFL broadcasts, even though the play on the field was poor.

I will not stand here and let you badmouth the XFL. I just can’t do that.

@Gonzo:
It must be, because Peyton & Eli would ever make an ad campaign destined to fail that badly….

I’d like to meet the person at Nabisco who came up with that.

I just watched the montage going into commercial for halftime. Did anyone see the Rey Mysterio Chargers mask ? Pretty Wicked.

Phillip Rivers says he disagrees with your predictions. Nice prognostications ladies.
