Why is the Best High School Football Player in the Nation Ticked off at ESPN?
ESPN, High School Sports January 17th. 2008, 2:04pm
Terrelle Pryor’s a big enough deal to have a running diary in the Post-Gazette, and the Next Big Thing (or the next Vince Young, whatever) isn’t happy about a recent profile in ESPN the Magazine: “ESPN The Magazine did an article on me last week. I wasn’t too happy about it. A lot of things they wrote about my parents aren’t true. I don’t know where they got some of their information. I know I’ll have some words for the dude that wrote it, if I ever get to talk to him.”
We read the article (thought it was fine, don’t recall anything that would make the kid unhappy), but have since tossed it, and we don’t recall the author’s name. Wonder if ESPN will care if Pryor remembers this incident when he’s looking to “sell” his college announcement, and stiffs the WWL (as if!).
UPDATE: Thanks to a reader who did the detective work, the writer in question was Tim Keown, and you can read the magazine article here if you have ESPN insider (page 76). We are tardy on the story, as the NY Times mentioned this squabble last week.

I thought it was funny how ESPN would only call the report of Dungy leaving an Internet report, rather than say it came from ProFootballTalk.com
January 17th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
Terrelle…Please come to OSU, we pay better than other schools. (psst…especially Michigan).
January 17th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
I loved how ESPN asked in an article about a high school kid, “how young is too young” to start profitting off of an athlete.
Hey, pot, its me, kettle.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Speaking of ESPN and college football, that Reggie Bush book story disappeared faster than the average CW sitcom.
I mean, John Amaechi got more publilicity for his book than Yeager got. Of course, ESPN published the Amaechi book and shoved it down our throats, but that’s another story for another day.
And on another note, whatever came of those Pete Carroll coaching rumors that ESPN talked about instead of the Reggie Bush book?
January 17th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
probably because florio has exposed bspn (and len pass-the-jelly) for the frauds they truly are. multiple times.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Is this dude really even that good? I feel like the media and shit just gets bigger and bigger and looks for more and more to cover each year, so each year everyone covers the big name recruits and makes them larger than they maybe really are. Usually the quarterbacks or running backs. It seems every year now there is a wildly gifted can’t miss quarterback. Is that even possible, considering those only come along every so often?
January 17th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Pryor supposedly has a campus visit planned w/ Coach Wannstache, but I don’t believe he has any real inclination to go to school here (here being U. of Pitt). He was heavily recruited by WVU and, odds are, he’ll follow their old dbag coach to Ann Arbor.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Are we sure being called the “next Vince Young” is actually a good thing?
Also, ESPN actually did cite PFT, in print and on-air.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
He just added LSU to his list week.
As a high school basketball referee in the Pittsburgh area, I have officiated dozens of his summer league/high school games the past 4 years. It’s beyond unfair what he can do physically compared to other high school athletes, and he’s not afraid to remind everyone about it.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
gee. a hotshot qb wants to go to a school that can develop a qb (not penn state) and has a concept about offense. amazing!
all you need to know about joepa’s offense is the best quarterback he’s had in years was a converted wide receiver (m-rob).
i think next year will be penn state’s last new year’s bowl until paterno croaks and as a result is forced to retire.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
He is coming to Ann Arbor this weekend and if anybody is in the area I hear he will be at the basketball or hockey game… so go and cheer. Also, Vince Young in college won a NC, so there’s that. If the WWL screws Michigan again somehow or another I am grabbing a burning torch and marching on Bristol.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Julio Jones is the best high school player in the nation
January 17th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
As for the kid, anyone seen him live? I have only seen internet video, and maybe it’s the competition or whatever, but he doesn’t look all that fast.
What’s he like in person?
January 17th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
@irish
I thought you were done!!! Welcome back. The MJ of commenters! Not in quality, just the amount of come-backs.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
Mike didn’t see that at all, watched the 11 PM Sportscenter it said Internet report, the Bottom Line said Internet report, was it on ESPNews?
January 17th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
How astute, Jimmy. Joepa finished #3 in 2005, running a spread offense that Pryor would be great in. A lot of really good college QB’s (Michael Robinson included, and don’t get me started on the first ititial-first syllable of last name nicknaming) have gone on to become recievers in the pros, I don’t think its a reflection of the coach. I think he’s going to Michigan, which kills me because they and OSU have been getting a lot of guys that in the past have gone to Penn State. But I really get tired of hearing how bad/old/dying/etc. Joe is. He missed on Morelli, but a lot of colleges have missed on QB recruits. the guy can still coach, still recruit and still win games.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
Jimmy, we can only hope. I used to hope for retirement, now I sadly root for the cold hand of death. At this point its the only way, that cranky old bastard refuses to leave.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
49er, PFT actually said so themselves, on the .com and on SportsCenter. I’m shocked as well.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
Pryor lit it up at the Army All-American Game. He was, by far, the best player on the field. He’s plenty fast, knows when to zip the ball, and when to take some off of it. He will be a beast for whoever acquire’s his services.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I saw Pryor in the AA (smaller schools, but not the smallest) PA state championship game and he was a highly-advanced, half-alien, half-human hybrid among boys.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
TBL, 6′6″ 235 lbs.
haven’t seen him in person, but caught televised coverage of the pa. state championship game he was in
he had 4 tds and 209 yards … rushing
January 17th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
new year brings new problems mags ill just say that. just wasnt in a good mood this morning.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
TBL, I’ve not seen him, but I grew up in Pittsburgh, and a good friend’s dad was a high school coach. He said he’s the best player he’s ever seen.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
TBL - He played on a AA team, which might raise some questions about the competition if not for the fact that he also dominated at the high school all-star game a couple weeks ago.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Well I’ll be damned
January 17th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
412 - I’d like to see him at Pitt too, but he’s said over and over that they’re not in the running.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
i wont say im dubious, but putting stock in those high school all-star games is like putting stock in the pro bowl or Nba all-star game. pretty worthless.
still, his size alone sounds impressive as hell. and PA has churned out tons of great HS athletes, so to say he’s the ‘best ever’ is rather high praise
January 17th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
These types of QB’s always live up to the hype. Just ask Xavier Lee.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Yea ritty, tell me about it. If you can’t unseat Drew Weatherford at QB, time to switch positions or just give up.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Mags…as a rival im curious. if OSU somehow lands pryor, what would your reaction be? how strong would the UM program be?
im not asking this to be a dick. and as an OSU fan, i do think he’ll be going to UM.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
joepa can still coach everything but a passing game. notice joe sent all of his offensive assistants to texas prior to the 05 season to learn the spread option? and robinson was a wide receiver for the lions. 05 was his first full season as a qb.
how much has derrick williams progressed since he was a freshman? morelli sure didn’t get any better.
joepa still runs a good program except for the passing game which, sadly, is still stuck in the 70s. the last decent qb penn state has had was kerry collins.
i fully expect penn state to be very strong next year. after that, i believe it’s going to be lean times again.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
no kidding TBL. let’s look as some pittsburgh-area qbs:
johnny unitas
joe nameth
joe montana
dan marino
to compare a high school kid to those guys, i think that’s putting the cart before the horse. let’s wait four or five years.
BUHAHAHAHA.
good point. but to xlee’s defense, look who was his qb coach for most of his college days (fredo bowden).
xlee going pro is the funniest thing i’ve heard since i read there was a reggie ball sighting at last year’s NFL combine.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
@spencer 096
We have no QB, I am not saying none like “Oh the kids we have are shit” No we really have no QB on the depth chart. If he went to OSU it would make me think he doesn’t really want to play, which is not a good quality in a player. I will also probably throw something at him if he plays in the big house (kidding). It would shock me if we went to any other place. It is like the perfect storm for him to end up at Michigan right now. The offense, the coach, the system, the lack of talent at his position… I would be pretty upset if he didn’t join the Maize & Blue. We really do NEED him to be successful next year, by successful I mean be above .500 I would think.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
The writer was tim keown, i believe. and i think pryor’s mad at some insinuations his parents don’t take care of him financially.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
jimmy forgot my fav QB from Pittsburgh, Jim the machine gun kelly
January 17th, 2008 at 2:51 pm

January 17th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Jim Kelly, Marc Bulger, George Blanda…
January 17th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
And, no, there is zero chance he plays for Pitt.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pm
@Maggs: He wore a UM sweater to the US Army game. He claims, it was to just piss off his OSU friends. There could be some truth to it, but I’m not completely buying that reasoning. I wouldn’t rule out LSU. There seems to be some shadey recruiting going on there over the past few years. Solid commits at rival SEC schools decommitting and then committing to LSU on LOI day literally out of nowhere. However, they do have Ryan Perrilloux and it wouldn’t make sense to go there.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pm
Mags…interesting. i must admit, i want him at OSU. i think we’ll be fine without him, but a talent like that…whoo. plus, i really don’t feel like getting eviscerated by him and mcguffie every year (at least until we replace jim heacock at D-coor - seriously, how can you not stop 3-wide sets?).
it sucks that UM has such a perfect opening for him, but one has to think that the kid will get destroyed his first year if he starts right away.
next few weeks will be interesting to say the least.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pm
You are wrong! ESPN actually did credit ProFootballTalk.com by name on SportsCenter and in their online story.
ProFootball talk even ran this note yesterday at 7:37 pm: “P.S. Though Mort’s report contradicts our, we appreciate the fact that Mort and ESPN actually referred to us by name, both on ESPN.com and on SportsCenter.”
I love how people fabricate stuff in this comment section!
January 17th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
ASU…he also wore a Buckeye sticker on his helmet the whole game and made a big show of pointing to it when he had some face time.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Is USC completely out of the picture? Is it because he doesn’t want to play on the West Coast (although I thought that Oregon had a shot)? Everyone knows that USC pays the best, not OSU.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Pryor is the real deal. I am from the Pittsburgh area, and have some him play several times. He will be better than Vince Young.
Pryor specifically states in there that PSU is a player in his recruitment. He has voiced concerns about each of the schools, and said the same thing about OSU (Being concerned about their offensive system).
He is not going to Pitt. Pitt is a nobody in the world of college football, and unless he wants to play in front of high-school type crowds, he should stay away from Pitt.
PSU will get Pryor in the end. Trust me.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
@lanalana55 - ESPN may have eventually mentioned the site by name, but I also saw the crawler referencing only an “internet report”
January 17th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
I was wrong
That is far different than a fabrication, I remember watching Sportscenter last night at 11 PM and they said Internet Report, then on the Bottom Line it said Internet report.
Ask any regular commenter on this site, I am not an ESPN basher.
I like how people comment on this site and claim people fabricate things while fabricating it themselves, dick.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
BTW…The Smash is going to TMU!!!
January 17th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
My call is that Pryor goes to Michigan. Pretty cool that Rich Rodriguez called him in the first few hours of taking the UM job.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
@Spencer: I didn’t realize that. My bad. Still wouldn’t rule out LSU. However, everyone needs to remember this kid is a four star basketball prospect as well. He has made it a point that he wants to play hoops too.
January 17th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Thanks 412, I knew I wasn’t crazy.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
From today’s article in the Tribune-Review, Pryor is quoted as saying,
“I want to play in a college town, a facility that has 100,000 and is packed,” Pryor said. “That’s how I want to do it.”
He also rules out Pitt in the interview. Here’s the link.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Love to see him here, but there’s no bloody way in hell I would play for Pitt at this time if I were in his position.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Yeah he is a good b-ball player too. He is a smart kid as well (from what I have heard) maybe he will choose the school that can give him an excellent education as well as the ability to be the man on both the grid-iron and the hardwood. I hope.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Damn George Mason’s club team is out of the running.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
see the thing is, he wants to play for a winner, but also right away.
i know i may seem biased, but UM, even with him there, is a rebuilding team - almost completely on offense. the system fits tho, and that’ll probably be the deciding factor.
he isnt playing right away at OSU, LSU. and even tho OSU ‘could’ revamp their offense and go back to the troy smith style offense, it still wouldnt be as tailor-made for pryor as Rich Rod’s.
im still holding out hope. he might be OSU fans’ only hope for an NC.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Or the SEC not existing, da da cha!
I like you Spencer but that was right there for me to take.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
cbh…that hurts. the truth does sometimes.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
i pray you are right jab!
i forgot about kelly! thanks for reminding me.
but i did not forget about bulger. i didn’t want to include bulger in with that group (yet).
January 17th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
big nuts, death in wifes fam if you want to know
sorry im not in the mood to talk shit today
January 17th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
OSU needs more than this kid to win a NC. I’m thinking snake oil and a vodoo doll. One with a sweatervest
January 17th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
All this Pitt talk has me wanting to talk about Auburn’s new defensive coordinator.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
My condolences Irish.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Paul Rhoads is finally gone! Woohoo!
January 17th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
nice going big nuts..
January 17th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
my bad irish. sorry about the loss =)
January 17th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
The fact that Morelli was no good, IMO, means that Morelli was no good. Robinson was a receiver to get him on the field because he was a good athlete, Mills looked like he could be good before regressing (which could be seen as making your point, i guess, but I think it was he played well as a freshman, setting the bar artificially high).
Watching PSU in the bowl, running a lot of spread formations with Clark, made me think they were showing Pryor the kinds of sets they could run (and did run with Robinson).
January 17th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
The412 - I’ve been hearing a lot of that. THe good thing is it’s Tommy Tuberville’s defense and Rhoads is going to basically be another cog in the machine…at least I hope.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
there is something to say about how he shut down Rich Rod’s offense, the one that sliced Oklahoma without Slaton.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
@Spencer096
Come on man… seriously? Look you know as well as I do this is cyclical between you and me. You kicked our ass around for a while, we kicked yours around for awhile… we had fun! It was the glory days. The only difference is you got ushered into 3 NC games becuase of it. I personally think it is garbage, but hey what can you do? My point here is, if you honestly think Michigan isn’t going to turn this thing around and become a 500 pound gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis, you are kidding yourself. It comes and it goes. For us the glory will soon be here. I just hope we can get into the big game as many times as you all did.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
no harsh feelings nuts. trust me i love a good round of bantering and smack talking about our opinions. that is why i come to this site. thks though
January 17th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Mags…oh, i know its cyclical. how could i forget John Fucking Cooper? im in a fragile state right now tho. anything i say regarding OSU should be taken with a grain of salt (its not easy to get over 2 straight embarassments on the sport’s biggest stage). tho, it is hard to replace 3 guys who were program defining talents like hart, henne and long (especailly long, seriously, that guy frightened the crap out of me) and that was my point, not that UM isn’t going to be good again once RR gets a few recruiting classes under his wing.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
man, did you leave for lunch or something?
January 17th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
So Spence…how you going to feel when UGA puts up 50 on you guys next year?
January 17th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Imagine Pryor joining Smash Williams at TMU.. 2 maybe 3 national titles.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
there was no question that offense was much better with clark running a spread option than morelli running a pro-set. joepa f’ed up by not redshirting morelli three years ago. he woudl have been a two-year starter on a team with much of its starters returning.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
@ spencer096
Yeah I was just taking the “he wants to play for a winner” line a little like a slap in the face coming from the guys who just lost 2 strait… I am not trying to rub it in, just letting you know where that last comment was coming from.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
rittyrich…yea yea yea. we deserve that.
anyways, itll probably feel as good as squeaking out another win over clemson in the Jim’s Bodega Bowl or whatever it was that Auburn played in this year.
way to be proud of a rival, awesome.
eh, im just kidding around, no hard feelings.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
I beg to differ, after 2 years of watching that debacle, I’m glad we don’t have to subject ourselves to another year. I’d much rather watch Clark in the spread next year as a first year QB than Morelli.
JoePa’s biggest f-up was naming his son as QB coach a few years ago.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Mags…thats what i figured. but, realistically, its hard to expect an O-line learning a new system, new WR’s, with 2 frosh in the backfield to be instantly successful. i wasnt trying to be a dick and be the typical “Michigan sucks” OSU fan, just saying that personnel and scheme wise, next year is going to be a learning process.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Don’t forget Oregon. I don’t think they have a shot, but remember Nike U can cut him a fat check. Phil Knight is just a phone call away; want a shoe named after you, you got it!
January 17th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
maggs i think he was referring to the 7-1 record osu has over UM in the last few yrs
and look at it from pryors eyes, why would he want to go to a team where RR has none of his recruits to play his offense? they will be good again, but when 3 yrs or so? he is gonna play on a bad (rebuilding) team for 3 yrs?
i doubt he wants to be the b10 version of jimmy clausen
January 17th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
@ spencer 096
Totally agree. I actually think it is going to be a little rough in the first year (based on RR’s past it has been that way) I just think Pryor alone could win us a couple games just on talent and we might need that in year one.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Spence. I love talking conference trash is all. There is no bigger waste of time nor more meaningless activity in my point of view which is why it’s so great at work. I do claim some connection to UGA though - my Dad’s side of the family, so I only hate them one time a year, lately when they beat the living shit out of us.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
mmonast…the only difference is pryor has actual talent. that ostrich looking motherfucker clausen is a piece of shit, on and off the field. what a tool.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
@mmonast
3 yrs? How long does it take YOUR team to re-build? Jeeze this isn’t the freaking Titanic, RR will turn it around in 2 years. And Pryor is his type of recruit, that is kind of the point of bringing in his type of guys. Don’t get me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I am angry.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
ritty…yea, i know. its fun. theres nothing better than a college football debate to get me all riled up. i have no problem ignoring a bunch of work i have to do as long as i get to talk shit about someone else’s favorite school.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
well this is how i see it, this season who knows what will happen with who u have there, then next yr has to get all the players he needs, then another season to learn the system etc then 3rd yr his team should be ready to go….unless you plan on recruiting a team of super freshman that can all compete and excel from day 1
@spence how awful did that one pic of clausen look with his spiked hair…i wanted to punch my computer when i saw that
unrelated but spencer did u see the espn trade article where it said the cavs almost dumped hughes to the knicks for crawford but isiah has been denying trades left and right because they include lee or crawford
January 17th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
@spencer 096
It’s FANTASTIC!
(Nacho Libre voice, obviously)
January 17th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
@Spencer: Great description of Clausen. Spot on.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
mmonast…i did not see that. id make that trade in a fucking heartbeat. LH is a tumor that needs to be excised.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
I remember folks around here getting all worked up about Ron Powlus ~ 15 years ago. I don’t know that he’s the least bit comparable to Pryor, but that’s a perfect example of a prospect being WAY over-hyped.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
@mmonast
Far be it from me to call an OSU fans prediction of what Michigan can do in the next year bullshit, but that is bullshit. I am not telling you we will dominate next year, but it won’t take 3 years. I just don’t see how that would affect a kid’s decision to come here. If he is an RR guy then he is an RR guy rebuild year or not he will come.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Did anyone catch Blue Chips on HBO last night?
January 17th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
ASU…are you implying that Rich Rod gave Terrelle’s dad a shiny new John Deere?
January 17th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
I caught it on Monday I think it was, that movie is the shit.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Condolences Irish.
January 17th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
just saying i dont think he will turn it around all that fast, do i think he will ya but i think it will take longer than you think
spencer how do u think hughes will do tonight against SAS im thinking 3-11 shooting and 1 FT made
January 17th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
sounds about right. at this point, even his contributions are meaningless, boobie could get 8 extra points if he played more in the first quarter.
you forgot the 4 turnovers tho. its not just that he isnt contributing to the cavs, its that hes giving the other team points as well. dear god is he fucking awful.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
god also kills a kitten when he misses a layup which he does…amazingly 2 or 3 times a game.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
@Spencer: Possibly. However, I doubt Richie Rich is going to admit his recruiting transgressions during a post game press conference.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
ASU…he’ll just shred the files when he bolts for the Nebraska job opening in 5 years.
ZING!
January 17th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Before or after he cries?
January 17th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
i just assumed during.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
Nobody wants the truth on this Rich Rod story. It is all lies. Go to MGoBlog.com and read up. I wouldn’t be suprised if Rich Rod doesn’t file a slander suite.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Mags…yea, i read that. i was only fucking around earlier.
as always, i hate UM, but im truly jealous of MGoblog and Mzone. those are two REALLY well written, intelligent, objective blogs.
January 17th, 2008 at 4:16 pm

Where does Happy fit into all of this?

Rich Rod deserves everything he gets. He is a slime bag. He breaks his contract, and then wonders why WVU wants their payment? He destroys records and files? He will fit in very well at scUM. Match made in heaven.
Michigan better hope they get Pryor because they are in a serious world of hurt next year without Manningham, Arrington, Mallet, Henne, Hart etc.. Rich Rod will last 3 years IMO.
Penn State will get Pryor and run the big ten over the next 4 years.

Penn State and Pitt are out. He wants to move away from home, or at least he has lent as much to Scout and rivals.com. A new report says that the final three are. Oregon and Michigan (no particular order) and #3 Ohio State. A little linkage for you tree blossom suck bags here, http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080117/SPORTS06/80116080 I truly hope Rodriguez and his merry band of self-entitled Big Blue pricks get theirs, so don’t worry FuckPies, I hate them as well. Although, being a Duck out here in exile (the Pacific NW) thanks for Oden and go Ducks bitches.

Obviously you don’t follow Pryor’s recruiting that much. I am from the Western Pa area and now live in DC. Pryor is not going to Oregon. His dad is in a wheelchair and he has said on numerous occasions that he wants to stay close to home.
Don’t believe everything you read about Pryor. He has never ever ever visited Oregon and won’t before he decides. He is not going to Oregon. The only schools he has visited so far are OSU and PSU. Those are the finalists..

They may have said different things on different editions, but I remember watching the 6 pm SportsCenter Wednesday following PTI, and they referenced PFT.com by name. PFT was also mentioned on PTI.
