Ballin’: Isiah Thomas, Picture Him Rollin’
NBA January 17th. 2008, 9:54am
New York 111, New Jersey 105: Read into this what you will, but the Knicks have won three in a row (all over playoff teams). We will say no more, but Jamal Crawford had 35, including some clutch shots in the fourth. Yes, we cheered when he banked in that jumper with the shot clock winding down.
Charlotte 99, Orlando 93: On the heels of a 40-point game, Gerald Wallace dropped 36 and collected 14 boards as the Bobcats pounded the Magic in the second half for their fourth win in six games.
Indiana 125, Golden State 117: Without looking it up, take a guess which player in this game, frail and from a University everyone loves to hate, is having a career year in: shooting from the field, shooting from three, points (17) and assists? Hint: He has a terrible contract.
Chicago 126, Miami 96: Eleven losses in a row for the hapless Heat. When you first heard that new Lil’ Wayne song, didn’t you think it said, ‘ball like smush’ as in Smush Parker? What the hell does ‘ball like Swush‘ mean?
Boston 100, Portland 90: Ray Allen scored a season-high 35 and all is well in Beantown.

really pounded the Magic winning by 6, wtf is that
January 17th, 2008 at 10:08 am
Dunleavy is a badass.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:08 am
irish, the Magic were outscored (pounded) by 21 in the second half, just like TBL said.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:10 am
whatever, im sick of this site not giving dwight howard no love
mfer just put up 20 and 20 last night, not one word of it. he does it every other night almost. but lets talk about the stinking knicks and the nets all the time. fuck that. im out

So do we hang a little clover from the rafters now?
January 17th, 2008 at 10:13 am
Good for him. I am sure a lot of guys had good nights. The Magic lost and aren’t half as good as you make them out to be. This isn’t nba.com. The Celtics beat the hottest team in the league and it gets a lot less attention than other games. So what? You see me flying off the handle?
January 17th, 2008 at 10:14 am
irish…its the same thing with lebron. when they do it virtually every single night, what more is there to say?
everyone knows dwight is one of the best young talents in the league, and its to the point where we expect him to do that on a fairly occasional basis. so when he does go 20/20, its not that big of a deal, just like lebrizzys 51/9/8 wasnt that big of a deal.

TBL, 2pac “Picture me rollin’” reference?

January 17th, 2008 at 10:17 am
Dwight Howard is just sick. Don’t tell irish I said that though.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:18 am
He’ll just ignore it CRM. He likes to live in a world where Dwight Howard gets no respect.

The Colts may lose the division lead by the end of this month.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:20 am
Who the hell are the Colts?
January 17th, 2008 at 10:20 am
Pacers score 46 in the 4th with this line-up: Travis Diener, Mike Dunleavy, Jeff Foster, Kareem Rush and Danny Granger.
*Tinsley was out according to Jim OBrien with a bruised knee, but all reports say he was suspended for a “film room altercation” WTF
January 17th, 2008 at 10:21 am
Ballin’ like swush. He probably means MJ (Swoosh)
Luckily for you TBL, I speak Wayne.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:22 am
@ Dornoch
I think they are a football team captained by a Top 5 QB.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Watch out. I think the Indians may have some trouble holding onto first place guys.
My god almighty the Heat are just unbelievably terrible. Like seriously. How are they this bad? omg.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Rack him!
Irish, that was epic.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:25 am
Well if you can’t beat em, or get an answer from them, join in I guess.
No way the Brewers hang onto this thing.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:27 am
The Colts are throwing their lead in the Atlantic because they don’t want to face the Celtics in the Playoffs.
January 17th, 2008 at 10:32 am
I thought we were talking about the Campbell Conference?
WTF CRM?
January 17th, 2008 at 10:33 am
Anyone know the dates for the 2009 Winter Olympics in Bejing?
January 17th, 2008 at 10:35 am
September/October
January 17th, 2008 at 10:55 am
A bit off topic, but did anyone else see that Simmons’ latest article is AGAIN about the Celtics? I can’t believe that just a few years ago, I used to read every word he wrote, now I might read one article a month. (Granted he only writes about 4 times per month, but the vast majority are about Boston these days).
January 17th, 2008 at 10:59 am
Seriously, I applied for the open public relations job with the New York Knicks. I hope I get an interview, so I can win the first Pulitzer for blogging.
January 17th, 2008 at 11:02 am
Jarrett Carter > Upton Sinclair
January 17th, 2008 at 11:03 am
Saprissa: Yeah I’m a bit disappointed lately. I mean granted, he is a big Boston guy, and every one of his team’s is the best in their respective sports (which isn’t fair), but yeah, basically 3 of every 4 articles the past year or so has been a kissfest about the current Boston team. I have started only reading the non-Boston ones. Ug.
January 17th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Now go and getcha money, little duffel bag boy.
January 17th, 2008 at 11:22 am
so what you think dunleavy is worth 10 mill a year. he sucks, his father sucks and the pacers suck. basement dwellers just like your ny knicks and ny nets. but wait, if nj nets win two in a row, fuck watch out they are going to the NBA finals based on what TBL NY bias approach to ballin.
show respect when its due. there was no talk of the portland trailblazers when they were on a roll. you talked more about the knicks during that stretch. this isnt the ny post where isiah gossip is all over. if the wizards were in the position the magic were in the first quarter of the season, you would of been all over the wizards jock and said exactly what i was saying about the Magic.
January 17th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Hornets beat the Sonics by 31. And no love??!
January 17th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
Portland needs to get respect. I mean, Oden’s averages are what, 20.6, 14.2 boards and 6.2 blocks a game? And I haven’t heard TBL once give him props. I can easily see them playing the Cleveland Browns in the Finals.

Riley,
Hey guy. Just a fan of the slick hair talking here. This season is over. Rest everyone. Play Daequan Cook 40 minutes a game and give Ricky Davis his 30+ shots. Hope no one else notice what you’re doing and laugh all the way to another title when Michael Beasley suits up for the Heat next season.
Your Guy,
Me
