Giants Know the Way to Glendale: 23-20 in OT
NFL January 20th. 2008, 11:06pm
Third time’s a charm, huh? Favre played like anything but a legend against a beleaguered secondary, and the result is that another Manning will take a snap for the second straight Super Bowl. Some night for Lawrence “Hey FOX, don’t call me Larry - if you bother to interview me” Tynes, huh? (Back-to-back texts after the Giants kicked shanked the potential game-winner in regulation: “Is he fired yet?” followed by “He should never set foot in NYC again, for his own safety.”) Marble mouth vs. the Pretty Boy. The early line is 14, but it appears to have nose-dived to 13 already. The over/under was 55 and heading south as well.
Faced with a lose-lose - two weeks of Favre/Brady slurping or two weeks of Giants garbage here in New York - here’s the end result: yet another New York-New England showdown. Barf.
Back Monday with some politics, movies, and probably, sports.

I’m glad for Tynes; I was thinking he was going to have to walk back to NY if they had lost. Can’t wait for that scintillating Pats/Giants match-up…
I saw 27 Dresses; it was ok. Clearly, the move was Cloverfield. Hopefully I’ll see it next weekend, during my Super Bowl hype intermission.

I know we are going to see many Eli articles in the next 2 weeks. but Plaxico Burris was a MEAST this week (hat tip KSK). although I think Aikman drummed up Al Harris to be one of the top corners in the league. He is better than average in my book.

Even in a packed theater yesterday, I just didn’t get into Cloverfield. Zero character development and no sense of originality when it comes to how people truly act in these type of situations [global disasters and such] wasn’t really my cup of tea. The monster looked cool but the bug thing behind the screen was kind of gay. Show that shit. In conclusion, what I predicted would happen did happen and thus any real good feelings I would have had about the picture were lost.
If Madden dies, does Frank Caliendo’s schtick go with him?

what bug thing are you referring to?

Was anyone walking into Cloverfield not expecting exactly what they got?

It is going to be sickening watching all these New York fans and media types who wanted Eli gone six weeks ago kissing his ass and acting like they were in his corner all along.

I am a long time Packer fan. I am ready for Favre to retire now. Enough is enough already. Thanks for the memories, thanks for the many great years. We thank you for your service. Please retire.

What the hell is wrong with you TBL? Barf? Maybe I’ll avoid this site for the next few weeks. Considering you live in NYC I would think you’d be a little more sympathetic to Eli the great…

The Giants are on a roll. They beat the two best teams in the NFC on there home fields. They will give the Pats a better game then the Packers or Cowboys would have. Eli deserves a lot of credit(Zero turnovers in the playoffs). Hopefully Coughlins face will thaw out before the Superbowl/

TBL hijacked CRM…not cool

Berman’s gotta be happy, at least a little bit-his stomach couldn’t take much more of Favre’s love juice. Always remember his words to live by: ‘Rooting for Favre is like rooting for America’. Except when you root for America, you don’t get bruised knees and a sore jaw.

Notice that Peter King hasn’t written anything yet. If favre and the packers had one, he would have written a 30 page monday morning quarterback…..

RE: Brandon Jacob’s third quarter TD celebration: Was Jacobs looking to Superman That Ho (ala Soulja Boy)? Can someone help me out here? I’m glad Buck and Aikman don’t listen to popular music while sipping on cognac at the Yacht Club or some Sh*t…

If you had told me the Giants would go to the Super Bowl back in August I probably would have told you that if that happens I will chop my dick off…luckily I’m only losing a $300 bet instead
