Interesting story on Real Sports this month about Reggie’s dealings while at USC…the accuser has Bush’s stepdad recorded saying “Reggie will pay you back everything” but that family is still denying any wrongdoing

Spencer - People rip Roy Williams because he is awful (and yet, inexplicably gets the trip to Honolulu). Polamalu had a miserable 2007 as a result of injuries, but to put him in the “over-rated” category is to ignore his overall career.

412…the guy lines up and can blitz and all of the sudden he’s some unstoppable force. he had a few good years and can cause fumbles, but he gets burnt a lot. even when he’s healthy, hes not as good of an overall safety as kerry rhodes or bob sanders (i know he plays free safety, but his responsibility is pretty similar to TP’s).
if he didn’t have his ridiculous, hideous mane, nobody would know who the hell he is.

@spencer - You seem like a pretty knowledgeable sports guy, but to say we know who Troy is because of his hair is ignorant beyond belief. The 2005 Steelers have rings because of their D, and Troy was probably the very best of the bunch that year.

412…first off, as you can probably tell by the avatar, im not the biggest steelers fan in the world. but i stand by my statement. pitt will never be known for their DB’s in a traditional sense (im talking about the LeBeau defense, not the Steel Curtain and Mel Blount). the blitz is what makes that D work, period. their zone blitzing schemes are great and everything, but if the blocking is there, the secondary will get picked apart.
a few years ago, TP was a force, i know that from watching him eviscerate the browns 2x per year, but that was 2 years ago. hes not anywhere near the same player he was, be it from injuries or offensive scheme. but even in the super bowl year, that D would have been toast if not for J-Peezy and Farrior killin it with the blitz and Hampton not allowing any push.
TP is an awesome blitzer and run stopper, but if Roy Williams is considered overrated because of his coverage liabilities, then so too is TP.
the hair comment is more out of spite. that shit looks fucking nasty.

spencer, as part of Troy’s job is to mask the coverages/blitzes, evidenced by his coming to the line, & spinning back into coverage (and vice versa), he is at a disadvantage in regards to coverage. he doesn’t have an opportunity to jsut line up and deal with his coverage cues.

Dan…oh i understand. but im talking more about when he is in coverage, plain and simple. i realize that i come off pompous and non-objective, and i know that TP’s role in the steeler D is vastly different than that of an Ed Reed, but he still does have the deep 2 coverage or man-up responsibilities occasionally, which he’s awful at.

I think Reggie and TBL could do better.
I called her ugly once and nearly started WW3. I don’t find her attractive at all. To each his own but all I see is a Hollywood wannabe, big haired, horse face with a big rack.
I would say many of you (based on personal experience) probably wish you hadn’t knocked up that pig you are married to when you had your beer goggles on and now you think anything in a skirt is hot.
