Most Disgusting Player in the NFL: Jerramy Stevens
Campus Crime, College Football, Courts, Legal, Media Gossip/Musings, NFL January 29th. 2008, 10:20am
This is not up for debate. Not after you read this piece in the Seattle Times. It is tremendous journalism – in fact, it is the best piece of sports journalism we have read in a newspaper in 2008.
The story, however, is vile. It may make you sick to your stomach. You are likely to wonder why Tampa Bay would bother having an alcoholic alleged rapist such as Stevens on the roster. We use the word alleged, but after reading the article, you’ll know that’s only because the football program protected Stevens and saved him from going to court, where evidence would have done him in. How can that Seattle-based lawyer live with himself for defending these criminals, all in the name of a (crappy) football program?
And UCLA – if you knew then what you knew now about Rick Neuheisel, would you have hired the guy?

What a fucking piece of shit.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:29 am
he’s total scum.
but the story about his neighbors coming out to find a bunch of used condoms on their deck was pretty damn funny.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:33 am
Who is worse? The ass-clown with “always hated” on his arm or the lead prosecutor that said there was not enough evidence. Maybe the state Bar should look at this.
And he is “always hated” because he sodomizes virgins and then emails the victim.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:33 am
His hands are pretty disgusting too. Even footballs refuse to end up in them.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Tyler Brayton knew all along.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:38 am
Here is a quote from an email he wrote to chick he had sex with:
What a moron.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:39 am
Why didn’t any of this come out when the Seahawks made the Super Bowl? He was a big part of the hype and this is a pretty big deal.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:41 am
I disliked this guy before. Now I just hate him.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:41 am
Aaaaand after reading the article, this guy has proven himself to be one of footballs leading assholes.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:42 am
how many chicks in college have cried wolf though? Get too drunk the night before and sleep with a guy
he is a scumbag no doubt about that, but in most of these cases its the women who were drunk at parties.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:42 am
I actually feel dirty now. What a scumbag. But this seems like a total lack of institutional control that goes WAY beyond Neuheisel. This has to do with the school leadership, local government, etc. Everyone involved has to share the guilt.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:44 am
Makes you wonder how many other stories like this we don’t hear about.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:44 am
Guys like this need to spend their sorry lives in a maximum-security, pound-me-in-the-ass prison.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:45 am
Irish- I get what you are saying, but this chick was a virgin and was sodomized. It is one thing to just say that a guy assualted me, but totally different to call your parents and go get an examination. She just seems credible.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:46 am
Irish–if a female you cared about was ass-raped in an alley, would you have the same attitude?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:47 am
pki, I’m with you. How many drunken college football (and sports in general) players get away with the same trash and never make it to the news?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:47 am
Irish, did you actually read it or skim it?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:48 am
I just have to say I’m a HUGE Seahawks fan, and I have never seen anyone more reviled by the fans…and this was when he was still on the team! After he left, he became the most hated person in the greater Seattle area. I can only imagine how many effagies will burned after this story becomes circulated.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:48 am
How many people get away with the same trash and never make it to the news?
Fixed
January 29th, 2008 at 10:51 am
football players can get away with anything (OJ). for every story like this that comes out, there has to be hundreds that dont.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:51 am
Wow Irish, after that article it is hard to play the Star Athlete as victim card. Wait for the next one to discuss that issue.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:52 am
atl- drinking plays a major factor in most of these cases, thats all there pal
January 29th, 2008 at 10:53 am
The problem lies in the fact that it is damned near impossible to prove rape. There will be assholes like Stevens’ buddy (”I hang out with champions”) who will always think the chick wanted it. This happens more than we care to think about. And, while I am fervently anti-death penalty, I also know that anyone who dared do harm to one of my daughters would end up like Boggs after Andy shared his financial planning expertise w/ Hadley and Warden Norton.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:54 am
wow that story is repulsive
January 29th, 2008 at 10:55 am
Certainly it does. But because a female gets drunk doesn’t give an asshole the right to rape her. Besides, couldn’t this guy get enough ass on the up and up as a football player? When I was in school, football players could get just about anyone they wanted. Why did he have to rape?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:55 am
If i get this argument, it is that if a girl drinks and gets ass-raped by an athlete, then it is either consensual of the girl is lying?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:56 am
nice Shawshank reference 412
January 29th, 2008 at 10:56 am
Bigger piece of crap: Jerramy Stevens or Leonard Little?
January 29th, 2008 at 10:58 am
412…yea, its hard. but the circumstantial evidence described in the article is hard to look past.
-eyewitness saying the girl looked drugged
-coming home, waking up with no memory and her bra and shirt fucked up and covered in blood and dirt, with her underwear missing
-jerramy stevens reportedly having the underwear
-scratches on her legs and bruises and shit
not to sound insensitive, but either she liked it rough and is an alcoholic (not totally unlikely, but pretty hard for a reported virgin to be an animal in bed and/or an alcoholic) or, the more likely scenario.
still hard to prove rape litigously, but in the court of common sense, theres no doubt.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:58 am
atl that comment you said right there is what im thinking, why would he have to rape a girl to get some huh
January 29th, 2008 at 10:59 am
I’m wondering the same thing, Cool Rick. I’m not trying to get on my liberal high horse with this, but geez…I realize there are times when a girl cries rape and it was really just remorse for banging a douche bag, but to say that “most of these cases, it’s the women who were drunk at parties” is just pretty ridiculous.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:00 am
jim…that’s a hard question to answer.
id have to go with stevens because he seems completely unremorseful about ANY of the shit he does.
little has an addiction (NOT an excuse, hes still scum) but at least he has taken a few steps towards rectifying his past.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:05 am
Man, that dude is a mess.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:05 am
I cannot believe Maleng was never fired/prosecuted. This guy is the opposite of the Durham DA in the Duke LaCrosse case. It truly seems like UW football players can do anything on this guys watch. Stevens is a piece of trash.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:05 am
Some people are just sick, and they don’t think like normal people, I think Jeramy Stevens is probably sick.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:05 am
No worries. He’ll wind up in jail and have himself a brand new asshole by August.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:07 am
I remember when he was involved with the kicking in the nuts incident with the Raiders a while back. I remember the Schrutebag on ESPN saying that he knew Stevens from his days in Washington and saying nothing but bad things about the guy. He even told the story about when they hit the kid with the baseball bat and stomped his face. One of the Herd’s few credible moments.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:11 am
@spencer – I have no doubt this was, in fact, rape. I’m just saying that in cases like these the defense basically can–and does–put the accuser on trial. Oh sure, you and I both know this was rape, but still… Three names for you: Orenthal James Simpson. Just sayin’…
I’m going to send this article to my wife (who does criminal defense) to see what she has to say.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:14 am
@ Irishmafia: just because someone goes out and gets drunk doesn’t mean they’re deserving of rape. What if you got the shit beat out of you, your cash taken, and your car stolen while you were drunk, and the DA said that it was your fault because you went drinking and should accept the consequences?
NO ONE deserves to be violated without their consent, whether they’re drunk, high, sober, or whatever. Yes, people do stupid things when they drink (like, say, Jerramy Stevens does), and they deserve the consequences of whatever actions THEY TAKE. Being drugged and violated is not an action this woman took, it was something done TO her. Big difference.
Why is it when a man has drunken sex he;’s getting lucky, but a woman who is raped while drunk is “asking for it?” I don’t get that logic at all.
That story about Stevens made me want to puke. And Irishmafia’s comment did too.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:14 am
yeah i read the article TBL, i only skim what you put up
binge drinking in college leads to a lot of people being wrongly prosecuted all because some little rich girls got drunk, slipped and fell on a dick, whoops
am i saying rape is a good thing, of course not. But there are two sides to every story
January 29th, 2008 at 11:15 am
The whole Victory & Ruins compilation the Times is putting together has been amazing and incredibly done thus far.
Continue reading Chapters 2 and 3 regarding Jeremiah Pharms and Curtis Williams. As well as the web exclusives regarding Hakim Akbar and two other former players. It is an amazing read.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:15 am
If you’re “Always Hated”, it’s usually because you’re a cock. But I guess “I’m a cock with no socially redeeming values” is too long for a tattoo.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:17 am
Does HCWDB have a “F—face Rapist” definition? I trust Stevens would fit the bill.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:17 am
You really think that the sex was consensual? I mean don’t all women who go to college as virgins fantasize about their first time being outside, against a building, behind some bushes, and oh yeah for it to be anal sex.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:18 am
@tk: do you have the link?
January 29th, 2008 at 11:20 am
What I want to know is if this guy keeps getting in all of this trouble (even if he gets reduced penalties and such), where is the one judge who finally puts the hammer down and says, “Enough is enough.”
Maybe he hasn’t had to serve the harshest penalties, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t do the crimes.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Why do I get the feeling irish is violating his parole by not announcing to the TBL neighborhood he is a sexual predator before starting to comment here?
January 29th, 2008 at 11:21 am
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/victoryandruins/
That gets you to the overview page, that includes links to all three chapters the Times has put out thus far.
Also, Stevens’ “Always Hated” tattoo continues on the other arm to read “Never Faded”.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:21 am
funny nick funny got jokes today dont ya
you love to stir the pot dont you nick
January 29th, 2008 at 11:24 am
Some NCAA athletes for the most part think they can do anything. Not all. When i was in college, i had friends on the football and basketball teams. Most of them were respectful of people and property. But for one reason or another, some of their teammates just didn’t get it. They thought they could do anything and school would cover it up. And the sad reality is, they were mostly right.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:27 am
irish, no doubt there are some bogus cases of rape that make their way through the system, but in this case, it never made it INTO the system for trial.
This asswipe’s history suggests that his star treatment has gone to his head, and he’s basically bulletproof. I just hope Sheriff Joe Arpaio gets a whack at this idiot.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:28 am
As a Saints fan, it kills me that this piece of shit sent their season into a tailspin when he scored the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds in the Superdome.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Some of this doesn’t add up, why would Jeramy Stevens, a never was in the NFL, be bullet proof for rape but Michael Vick, a superstar, wasn’t bullet proof from dog fighting?
January 29th, 2008 at 11:29 am
Broseph- great plug of hot-chicks with dbags. I think his name would be Tatty McAssrape.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:30 am
412…absolutely. OJ is the poster child for athlete indifference in a legal sense. its disgusting that there are actual people out there who stridently defend assholes like this by finding loopholes and creating “doubt.” the lawyers who defend these people are just as bad, if not worse.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:31 am
This chick wasn’t drunk, she was roofied (not sure how thats spelled). You don’t forget the entire night from drinking several, hell even many, beers.
I was roofied once, being a dude, obviously it wasn’t meant for me, but I got it. I remembered drinking 3 beers and the rest of the night was black, not fuzzy, fucking black. Zero memory at all. Shit was scary and remember, I’m a dude and I woke up wearing all my clothes.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:33 am
The lawyers are bad, but that prosector is worse. How could he keep a straight face while claiming there was “insufficent evidence.” Something with this many witnesses, this should’ve went to the jury to decide.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:34 am
@spencer – Well, it is an attorney’s job to defend our rights. Something about this inconvenient document.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:40 am
412…yea, my previous comment was typed while i was on the phone and i was distracted and just hit “submit.”
yea the constitution is important as is defending rights, but there are some cases that just aren’t right. how the hell could this asshole get of when almost all the evidence points right at him? theres a difference between ‘defending rights’ and exploiting the system. its a pointless argument, and it’s basically me just thinking in a dream world, but it’d be nice to see a defense attorney be faced with a case like this and not take the money over ethics. but, then again, if the client insists he’s innocent…
did your wife have anything in response to the article?
January 29th, 2008 at 11:42 am
It’s the jocksniffer mentality. This attorney that defends these players probably thinks he’s “one of the guys” if he keeps them out of trouble. The DA is either too intimidate, or he’s a jocksniffer too. They’re both losers, regardless of what the US Constitution says…
January 29th, 2008 at 11:43 am
One thing I’ve learned from this article – if you’re a rapist and an athlete, go to University of Washington.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:47 am
I was thinking about different schools too. Sadly, I’m sure this stuff happens all over, but athletes seem to get away with more stuff in the Pac-10.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:51 am
Pure vile. Scott Linehan should be fired from the Rams job for this.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:53 am
@ Jerramy Stevens:
Eff You.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Guys, Norm Maleng, the King Co. Prosecutor died last year. They made a big deal about how great a prosecutor he was. This tarnishes his legacy, in my opinion. I’m thinking that if Maleng was still alive, this article would’ve been squashed.
I hope that this effectively ends Stevens career in the NFL. Obviously the NFL never took his drinking problem seriously enough when they gave him a one game suspension last year.
One more thing: I was a UW fan. Not anymore. This series by the Seattle Times has turned me off of UW athletics forever. Ty Willingham and Lorenzo Romar may have some quality athletes at the school now, but I don’t care anymore. A school that looks the other way, no doubt enabled by the criminal justice system, is not a school I want to root for.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Irish, I hope you never have any daughters
January 29th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
49er,
Vick was the money behind a major illegal gambling situation that drew the attention of the Feds. The dog fighting was the drum beat that rallied the public outcry but the cash was what the Feds were concerned about.
Stevens would better off removed from society.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
It’s pretty obvious that Stevens did something wrong concerning Marie. I think its amazing how many enablers Stevens has been encompassed about by since he was a high schooler. His parents, high school coaches, college coaches, lawyer, prosecutors. No one should be surprised at this latest incident, and I would pray the Washington system comes back and gets him for violating the terms of his agreement in that state. But they won’t. Enablers.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Beating the rape was only the tip of the iceburg of what pissed me off here…how many fucking times can someone be given a “Second chance”? I’m sure Hitler did some good things for the German people in the 30’s but that doesn’t make him a good guy who made a few mistakes
January 29th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Irish I hear what you are saying here, and I agree with you to a point. But in this case specifically, I think you are wrong. I don’t think this is a case of her falling on a dick at all. If she was completely wrong why would they have paid her off. Don’t tell me to shut her up, Stevens is “too Proud” to do that. He wouldn’t let some “Whore”(his words not mine) get the best of him if there wasn’t something there.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
nice nino brown nice. i wish you the best this year, all the best
January 29th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
“he is a scumbag no doubt about that, but in most of these cases its the women who were drunk at parties.“
Drag your knuckles much, irishmafia?
January 29th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
If someone gets killed at home is it their fault if they didn’t lock the door?
January 29th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
all depends if they left the back door open. get it butters
January 29th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
disgusting human being….
January 29th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
was irishmafia ever roofied? Nick papa….unbelievably funny line about the message board whipping boy irish.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
i was roofied once…but i did it to myself, for recreational purposes.
it was a waste of time.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
tbl said this post was not up for debate. there is always a debate to be found. at least i created the most commented post of the day. all the haters out there, we all have opinions. And i surely guarantee that most of you know what i was pointing out. alcohol played a important role.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
There’s only so much playing the Devil’s Advocate can get you…this guy has a clear history of wrongdoing and should be in prison for the rape plus all his other crimes
The penalty for underage drinking as she did is a small fine…not being raped by a violent offender
January 29th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
irishmafia – Just because a woman has an alcoholic beverage (or multiple beverages) that doesn’t mean anything goes. Can’t begin to tell you how many times I didn’t get laid in college, because my conscience wouldn’t permit me to close the deal on an obviously inebriated chick (and this from a guy who wasn’t a “champion” like Jerramy Stevens).
January 29th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
I opened myself up for cheap shots with that last post…but you know what I meant.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Jesus, that series is terrifying. Seattle circa 2000 was apparently like Deadwood, with no laws… At least, as long as you were a UW football player. I wonder if Bruins Nation will be okay with the moral (and PR-related) price they’re gonna have to pay for Nieuheisel’s services…
January 29th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
412, cmon now did i say anything went when alcohol is present. please dont put words in my typing. i wanted to make a point alcohol was a major reason in this, did i not
January 29th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
irish – I’m not going to argue this all day, but when you say “alcohol was a major reason” it sounds to me as though you’re diverting blame from the piece of shit rapist? Please tell me if this is or is not what you mean.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
I also hope irish doesn’t have any daughters. Even moreso, however, I hope he doesn’t have any sons.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Well your debate is idiotic irish.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Just keep this story in mind next time you read about a player on your favorite team being “troubled” or having “off-the-field” issues or that he was suspended 2 quarters for “violating team rules.” Until you read this story, you’d probably never read about Stevens being described with any worse generalities than that.
Unless of course it was some Seahawks fan complaining about him dropping a pass.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Alcohol played a minor role in this…Jerramy Stevens fucking drugging and raping a woman played the major role
January 29th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
diverting blame from the “accused” rapist 412, no but i am not quick to judge someone like you and every other asshole on this site. You want to get my attention everyday it seems like 412, i come on this site to voice my opinion not to give a shit what petty people like you think of me and my opinions. so keep commenting on me and my posts while i comment on what tbl offers up for the day.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
um…okay, Irish… I was really just giving you a chance to explain yourself. Never mind.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Next time I go to a happy hour I’m going to be on the lookout for whatever chick has knocked down more than 2 Miller Lites. Apparently that is the green light for drugging and fucking a girl in the ass.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
irish, you say you don’t care what anyone else thinks about you and your opinions, yet you brag about how much of an impact you think you have on the site – “at least i created the most commented post of the day.”
Maybe your comments would be taken a little more seriously if you grasped the concept of grammar and punctuation.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
Irish–here’s hoping that after a night of drinking, you meet Jerramy Stevens in a dark alley…
January 29th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
sportsgal, your two cents is appreciated very much. i was acutally saying that comment you just read to 412, like it says in there
January 29th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
atl- if this was michael vick we were talkign about, you would be praising him left and right. but i bet you disagree with what happened to Mike vick also dont you.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Those dogs were drinking heavily from what I understand. They were asking for it!
January 29th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
atl- people like you dont think Mike Vick did anything wrong and he is wrongfully imprisoned right now. your bigotry makes me come to sites to voice my opinion
January 29th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
I really didnt want to get involved but damn it:
1) the e-mail was to a different girl, it was found during the investigation
2) Stevens didnt drug the girl, she was handed an open beer at a fraternity party. The girl and her friends didnt even run into Stevens until the alleyway at her Sorority house. Obviously some asshole at the party drugged her and was going to try to get her. Her friends made the right decision by leaving with her.
3)She was in no condition to consent to sex, I believe that is a crime, even if she was incoherrent and said yes.
4) I hope Stevens is blackballed after this article
5) He is product of poor parenting, poor coaching and poor administration. He was probably always told he was the best and the first time he got off because he was a football player he knew he could take advantage whenever he wanted and he has. When this happens we have no one to blame but ourselves for letting these players get away with it. They need to be taught a lesson the first time they are caught that they have to pay for the consequences of their actions and if that means jail, or suspensions then so be it.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Irish–where/when have I said I don’t think Vick did anything wrong? When did I say he was wrongfully imprisoned??? Wow…now, on top of making ridiculous comments, you’re just making stuff up.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
To be clear: I think what Vick did was pretty fucking gross/horrible, and I’ve said (since before the dog thing) that his contract was a really bad mistake. Does that make me a bigot?
January 29th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
make it 100 comments on this most ridiculous post today. atl all i wanted to make a point today with this was the fact that numerous occasions similar like this get pushed under the carpet and alcohol plays a major role in these situations and 9/10 times its the female saying she was drunk, incoherrent thats all
i dont want to research your comment about vicks dog fighting when it came out, what more explanation do you want atl
your comment above started this whole thing with me so why dont you have the last word atl
January 29th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
I’ll be glad to have the last word…I don’t mean to be the comment police, but it just pisses me off when people make dumbass comments (because there’s no accountability on a comment board) with nothing to back them up…like saying “9 out of 10 times it’s the female saying she was drunk, incoherent” As I’ve said before, you can have your opinions, as misguided and unfortunate as they may be. But I can damn well have mine too, and the same freedom of speech that allows you to post this kind of crap on this site day after day is the same freedom of speech that allows me to call you out on it.
Thanks for the entertainment.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
sportsgal, i liked it better when you had your picture up. why dont you tell everyone why you took it down
January 29th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
atl- thank you for wasting an hour of my day
January 29th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
atl – I would also like to thank you for wasting an hour of irish’s day. Now I’m just concerned about those other 23 hours.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
irish, is there some reason that you usually come across as being a complete tool? Besides, of course, that you are a complete tool?
January 29th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Reading Irish’s comments on this make me realize how ignorant some people are.
Maybe if this happened to someone you were close to, like some of us have had to deal with, you would be saying something totally different.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
dx87 new hater for the day, bitches lie buddy bitches lie
think of me dx87
January 29th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
rs27 maybe you and dx87 can get together tonight and think of new nicknames and new jokes to tell about me tomorrow

Irish you are an idiot. You think a 19yo virgin is going to consent to her first time being with a guy she’s not dating’s cock in her ass while pressed up against a brick wall? In my opinion, he should be shot dead. Literally and seriously, he should be removed from the living.
