Ballin’: Why, Hello There, Ladies
NBA February 10th. 2008, 11:50am
New Orleans 112, Memphis 99: David West had 33 points and 10 rebounds while Chris Paul scored 2 points and dished out 16 assists. Peja Stojakovic shot 6-12 from behind the line to add 26. Rudy Gay scored 26 of his own in the loss.
Indiana 101, Portland 93: Another game without Brandon R.O.Y., another loss for the Blazers. Danny Granger scored 29 to lead everybody. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Blazers.
Philadelphia 101, Los Angeles Clippers 80: Al Thorton had 18 points and 10 rebounds but it was quite enough as the 76ers took a 19 point lead into the half and never looked back. Andre Miller had 17 points and 9 assists for Philly.
New York 99, Milwaukee 98: The Knicks were down by 17, but came back to win the game despite not scoring a basket in the last 1:53. Jamal Crawford had 30 for the victorious Knickerbockers.
Houston 108, Atlanta 89: Yao Ming had 28 points and 9 assists for the Rockets. Not a single Atlanta started hit double-figures in points, rebounds or assists last night. That has to be rare. Where’s John Hollinger?
Utah 97, Chicago 87: If I told you Carlos Boozer had a double-double involving points and rebounds while Deron Williams had a double-double involving points and assists, you probably wouldn’t be very surprised, would you? Didn’t think so. (22-12 and 15-11 respectively)
Golden State 105, Sacramento 102: Monte Ellis had 34 and Stephen Jackson had 26 for the Warriors. Ron Artest had 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings.

Rudy Gay scored 26 of his own in the loss.
I think it’s safe to say that’s going to be the recap for almost every Memphis game this year… maybe a few Miller and Conley gems sprinkled in there.

Is there a form where the Rockets can petition to be moved to the Eastern Conference? In a tie for 8th in the West… would have home-court advantage in the East. And an easier schedule.

grungedave, New Orleans and Memphis (when Memphis was good) feel the same way. Throw Milwaukee out West, and maybe even Chicago instead.
