SHU’s Gonzalez Has Spoken: No Fight
College Basketball March 3rd. 2008, 4:18pm
The Star-Ledger looked into last week’s mini-dust-up about Seton Hall coach Bobby Gonzalez allegedly scuffling with an assistant coach and everybody at the school says nothing happened. “What happened was one of my assistant coaches stood up and yelled at the referee and the referee came by and told me to keep my assistant coaches quiet, so I turned around and yelled at the assistant coach not to say anything to the referees,” he said. Gonzalez said there was not an altercation in the locker room. “It flat-out never happened,” he said. “There was not a fight, not an argument. Nothing.”
If the coach has spoken, we have to believe him. Unfortunately, after the Pirates lost to St. John’s (yup, still a program, just not a good one since Gonzaga booted them in 2000) Saturday, it left Gonzalez in a tough spot – win his last two, and then reach the Big East tournament finals, or settle for the NIT.

Once again no one cares about Seton Hall…now with St John’s I hope Mike Jarvis rots in the pits of hell for what he did to that Program…he and his shitty ass clown of a son ruined this program…raped it of its history and glory and handled the hooker loving carnage to an in over his head Norm Roberts. I don’t have a real personal dislike for many people especially those I don’t know but Mike Jarvis could drop dead and I would go to his Funeral and applaud. Fuck You Mike Jarvis.

That 2000 St. John’s team was pretty damn good … Boosty and Barkley, right? Great combo … until they ran into Gonzaga. Don’t know if the Johnnies have been a good team since

Well Bootsy and Barkley and Lavar Postell won the Big East Tourney..I really liked that team but they came on strong the last two weeks….the better team was the 98-99 team that went to the elite 8 against Ohio State and lost to a Scoonie Penn and Michael Redd (Ohio State is off the books for that so I like to think that St. John’s moves in the Final Four)That was the Ron Artest with Felipe Lopez and Zendon Hamilton..that was a good team. It got ranked as high as number 9 and beat Duke at the Garden on National TV when Artest hit a 3 with like 2 seconds left…I loved that team.
