Will Reporters Descend to Cabo for Brett Favre?
Media Gossip/Musings, NFL, NFL retirees March 5th. 2008, 8:50am
A reader who just happens to be enjoying a weeklong vacation in Cabo, has notified us that recent NFL retiree Brett Favre is in Cabo San Lucas right now, hanging out with host of other NFL players (and presumably their wives). The closest thing we’ve seen to confirmation of this was in the Southtown Star, which wrote: “Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer is vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the same resort as a handful of Packers. He got some good-natured ribbing Monday night from Packers wide receiver Ruvell Martin, but now Hillenmeyer can return the jokes.”
So approximately 8,206 stories were written about Brett Favre in the last 24 hours, and not one mentioned where he was when the news was revealed? Or is this information already out there, but google failed us? Guess the next question is, which outlet is most likely to get some folks down to Cabo and score the coveted first interview with the future Hall of Famer?

I will bet 4 packs of Bonkers and a pair of rainbow Zubaz panst that Favre plays again.
Any takers?

I bet it seems like he plays again because every episode of SportsCenter will open with his highlights for the next 10 years.
/at least it’s not Roger Clemens

I really think that he is done. Call me gullible, but I really believe that he is tired and since the packers didn’t go out and get Moss he doesn’t think it is worth it to him.

He said anything besides returning to the NFC Championship game would be a disappointment. I think he realizes how tough it is to get there. Just look at the Patriots. No matter how good a team is those games are so difficult to win.

In ten years, Brett Favre will deny being in Cabo this week.

As long as he doesn’t end up playing for Wizards I’ll be fine with it…I still refuse to acknowledge that Jordan ever did such a thing

Didn’t sportsgal say she was going to Cabo?

Thanks for the tip Gonzo.
That is true dedication, commenting while on vacation in Cabo.
When I am in Vegas I won’t even see this site in all likelihood.

Reporter: “Day 1 of the Favre Mourning Watch. We are outside the house of one Chris Berman, who is just distraught at losing Brett Favre. Chris, Chris, how do you feel?”
Berman (BAWLING): “It’s…just…it’s just…horrible!!! Why, Brett, WHY?”
Reporter: “Sorry for your loss, Chris. Can you put into words what Brett meant to you?”
Berman (STILL BAWLING): “He was the best-the best…in all of us.”
Reporter: “Again, sorry to hear it. We’ll return now to our studios. Greeny, what’s next?”
Greenberg: “As Favrewatch continues, we’ll profile his junior year of high school. The tough rivalry games that built the character and helped forge the legend of Brett Favre. We’ll also talk to the cheerleaders who flashed him after he won his first comeback victory for Hancock North Central.”

@ BFFredo: I think Berman should be saying “Jesus Christ” more.
