Spring Break with the Detroit Tigers
Baseball March 6th. 2008, 3:16pm
Better spring break: Debauchery in Cancun, or shagging ground balls at a cattle call tryout for the Detroit Tigers? The argument could be made that both are a once-in-a-lifetime experience, though we’d argue that one will change your life, and the other just could change your life. Nevertheless, a blogger spent his recent spring break trying out for the Detroit Tigers. He’s got photos and everything. It’s pretty rad.
We’re totally showing up at Knicks tryouts next year. What, just because they only have one guy on the roster under 6-foot-2, you don’t think we’d have a chance? Who wouldn’t want to play for a genius madman like Isiah Thomas?
Oh yeah, I tried out for the Tigers (Lakeland Flying Tigers Blog)

My friend and I got into it with the Lakeland Tigers players last year(hard to imagine probably). We had front row seats at the local A club park to watch our home team face off against the Lakeland Tigers. I was pissy drunk and so was my friend. i threw a beer on the first baseman when he was coming over for a foul ball and then was escorted out of the stadium with no arrest thank god.but that is my story about the Lakeland tigers
i would forward you all the newspaper article but you guys would know my real name and that aint happenning

in one photo, a player is wearing a marlins cap, another a reds cap, a third a phillies cap and the fourth is wearing what appears to be a st. louis blues cap.
strange.

i know but it’s like one of those exams you had in grade school:
“what doesn’t fit: marlins, reds, phillies, blues?”

Well done 412. Any mention of godzilla biscuits is a good one. It’s a term that should be used at every turn. I’m gonna see the Tigers twice when I’m at Spring Training in a week. I’m beyond excited.
