Amen TBL. Bad sport jackets is the kind of gimmick you’d expect from local wrestling programs, but not the NBA.

These almost aren’t newsworthy anymore since he’s been a living joke for the last few years at least.

don cherry > craig sager

Nash used Sager’s hankerchief to wipe Amare’s sweat after the game last night and they started laughing in sager’s face. I almost felt bad for him until I realized he does it to call attention to himself. God forbid he use insight and interesting questions to do that.

Nash blew his nose with it one time and put it back in his pocket.

Just commenting about his jacket is getting cliche. Nash had the right idea. I think the next step is to pull the jacket over his head, hockey-fight style, and just beat the crap out of him.

I find that funny because Nash has always been a live and let live type of guy.

broseph, fantastic, +1

I don’t even think that’s close to his most outlandish outfit. That being said, I really have no problem with Sager’s schtick, the Digger tielighter stuff, etc. Sager is in on the joke and enjoys it.

Man, do I wish Don Cherry had a show in America.

He looks like an assclown
I see that Bruce Bowen finally got suspended.

Horrible jackets > bad tattoos and piercings
Though both are a cry for help and/or attention

I think Sager’s schtick is funny/harmless. Geez, guys…a little misplaced hostility?
March 14th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Shtick is okay for comedians. Not journalists
March 14th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
sideline reporters are not journalists….except for Erin Andrews, she can be anything she wants
March 14th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
@Jay–It’s not like Sager doesn’t still do a good job in a thankless role. I’m just sayin…it sounds a little irrational to get so angry about the suit a sideline reporter is wearing.
March 14th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Yea seriously take it easy. Sager is one of the good guys; he’s totally harmless. I’m actually proud to say that silly bastard is from my hometown of Wheaton, Illinois, also home of John Belushi [Jim? Jim who?] and the Galloping Ghost, Red Grange among others. Sager had a funny suit on when he shook ole hammerin’ hank’s hand when he passed the Babe…. So seriously, go for a run or hit the heavy bag a little you motherfucking perfect human specimen’s [assholes] you…

Okay then. At least female sideline reporters can’t complain now that they’re the only ones who are judged by their appearance.
