285 in the Challenge as of the roundup this morning.
LC Sucks…
March 19th, 2008 at 7:20 am
Yeah, I hope she does too…
March 19th, 2008 at 7:21 am
Interesting that Pryor said he would tell future kids to commit right away. Sorta contradicts the whole take time to make the proper decision mantra he and his father (which I agree with) were citing for the delay in his announcment.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:23 am
Pryor’s acting like OJ Mayo did before he “picked” USC (which hadn’t even recruited him). Pryor will be lucky to be half as good as Mayo has been as a freshman.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:30 am
What makes you say that TBL? He waited till the end of the hoops season to pick. Is it his fault the media (Rivals, Scout, ESPN) want headlines and force will he or wont he down our throat? Maybe I am being too optimistic here, but I dont see what he has done wrong.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:32 am
I’m sick of Pryor and he hasn’t even played a down yet. I’m smelling Ron Powlus, not Vince Young. I also think he’s going to Michigan, Rod has a good rapport with asshats.
Someone needs to cut Adriana’s hair and do that photo shoot over.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:35 am
Wait, did TBL just compliment OJ Mayo? When did you have your “Come to Jesus” moment? lol
March 19th, 2008 at 7:35 am
i love LC. Its that girl next door thing about her that i think is hotter than the sluttier Cavalarri. LC still has tread on the tires
also, please no Danny Bonaduce. that guy is a total douche
March 19th, 2008 at 7:35 am
he wanted to wain until basketball season after he didnt announce on signing day…and it wasnt him that was going out looking for cameras every second every day to get facetime…reporters ask him questions and he answered
this whole circus was started by the media constantly speculating what every word he said or action he made meant…so he held out so what
March 19th, 2008 at 7:37 am
and lc is a pig kristen>lc any day
March 19th, 2008 at 7:37 am
The Big Ten may be on a little bit of a down slide, but I like it because it seems to have better parody than some of the other conferences. There are a lot of up and coming teams in the Big Ten and it will regain its prominence very soon. Illinois and Minnesota are going to be better next year in football (both had really good recruiting classes). Michigan just got a new coach and I think they will be back with a vengeance in a few years. Tubby Smith is turning around the basketball team and Indiana and Purdue are going to be in the top ten next year in basketball. Yet if all that doesn’t pan out, at least the Big Ten will always be tops in Wrestling and Hockey.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:38 am
camillo villegas is a golfer who gets a lot of pub because he’s good looking and wears flashy clothing. he was great at Florida, but as a pro, he’s not so good. he can get a lot better, and he hits it a mile, but he’s all flash…the dude version of natalie gulbis.
TP DAY TP DAY TP DAY!!!! i hope im not setting myself up for a letdown.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:40 am
Irish…and some quality tread it is!
March 19th, 2008 at 7:41 am
The first weekend of the NCAA tourney in Vegas is great! Everyone should do it at least once. HIt the sports book, then watch b-ball by the pool, drinks, women, cant go wrong.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:43 am
that mcnamee article was pretty cool.
and who are the jonas brothers? and why are they involved in so many debates?
March 19th, 2008 at 7:44 am
LC was on Letterman last night… I dvr’ed it to see the dumb questions he will ask her.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:44 am
mmonst, I agree with a lot of that, but, A) Dont call a press conference to tell us that you’re not telling us. B) Dont say you need time to take more official visits and then not take any C) Stop getting in fights and arguing with fans.
I’m also not naive enough to think that he didn’t realize that if he waited he would get a lot more pub than everyone else.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:46 am
is this Prior kid really the best recruit in recruiting history?
i cant really say that much about this kid because i have never seen him play, just highlights. But to make a statement saying that he is the best recruit ever, i just think thats a reach. Yeah he can be a Pat White type QB, but what more does he bring to the football field.
best recruit ever, no way
March 19th, 2008 at 7:49 am
irish…he’s not pat white because he can throw and is 6′6” not 6′1”. hes the supposed next vince young.
i have some interest in this thing, and i hope he’s the real deal, but you just never know. ryan perrilloux was supposed to be all world, unbelievable but even when he has seen the field, the results aren’t that spectacular.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:51 am
Good point about Pryor and hoops. Forgot to take that into account.
March 19th, 2008 at 7:57 am
I’ve said it 100 times, might as well make it 101… Whitney trounces LC.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:00 am
BIG Whitney fan.
I still prefer LC.
Jessica Hughbanks > All the other reality girls, though.
TBL: No shoutout for tOSU’s first round NIT victory? If you had planned on devoting a whole post to it, sorry for spoiling the surprise.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:02 am
that dude on unc-ashville is like a circus side show
March 19th, 2008 at 8:02 am
I’ve seen him play, been on the court with him probably 2 dozen times (reffing his games) over the last 4 years, and yes he is by far the most athletic/explosive high school athlete I’ve seen with my own eyes (including Lavar Arrington, Chris Webber, Rasheed Wallace, et. al.)
He’s only made “official” visits to U of M and OSU, so I’d rule out PSU and Oregon. Part of the reason (in my opinion) he didn’t rule out PSU sooner was that the PA state hoops title games were there last weekend. No need to get boo’ed mercilessly when you’re trying to win a title.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:04 am
ya thats what he said in an interview i read yesterday..didnt wanna say im not going to penn state when they were playing the state champ @ PSU…didnt want there to be hecklers and boos…didnt want to be a distraction to his team
March 19th, 2008 at 8:05 am
he’s going to Michigan…i just gotta feeling.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:11 am
I have a question…who the hell are these girls that are hotter than the other girls and what the hell show is this from…I have seen this chick before…she is massively hot here…and I know that Kristen chick from the other day…also really hot..is from that Laguna Beach show…is she from it too…and who the hell is Whitney…I feel really confused…I just see hot blonde chicks…you guys have the break down…help me…I feel like this is a Lost post..I have no idea what is going on right now.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:12 am
whitney is whitney houston…she sang the natl anthem to the Super Bowl in the early 1990’s. it was pimp. oh, and crack is whack.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:13 am
Oh…Whitney Houston…I know her…I had to sing the Greatest Love of All in chorus in elementary school…that was as gay as it sounded
March 19th, 2008 at 8:14 am
well, no offense, but it sounds really really gay.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:14 am
I am with Roman on this one. What is LC?
March 19th, 2008 at 8:15 am
Spencer…me and 100 other kids gay…me signing a solo during it…Really Really gay..
/hangs head in shame
March 19th, 2008 at 8:21 am
With the draft coming up next month, i still have yet to see how Matt Ryan can be the best QB out there. Im not sold on this guy at all. Also the fact that some kid from Delaware has a better shot than my boy Colt 45.
those QB’s at Hawaii, Brennan and Chang, did nothing but set records and display there talent in a pro style offense. Who knows where Chang is and who knows where Brennan will land.
But Matt Ryan and Joe Flaco being the top QB’s out there is pretty sad in my opinion
March 19th, 2008 at 8:23 am
We’ve all done our share of gay stuff during our childhood.
Roman, I’m hoping you added some Sexual Chocolate to your solo.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:23 am
Roman…dude, i feel your pain. in grade school we had a batshit crazy music teacher who made us do a music show every year. it was fucking bullshit. anyways, they had me up there doing a ‘hoe-down’ in a big cowboy hat to Lynard Skynard’s Sweet Home Alabama (in Ohio? makes no sense) in front of the entire school and their parents.
memories i wish i could erase. tho afterwards was the first time i got drunk…peppermint schnapps…and the first time i threw up from drinking. fun stuff.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:24 am
Those QBs at Hawaii did set records and played in a pro-style offense, but I know that at least Brennan was EXPOSED when he played against a good defense (UGA). He looked like a middle school qb vs. an NFL team in that game. Just horrible.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:24 am
irish…how was Hawaii’s offense pro-style? it was run-and-gun to the core.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:25 am
First weekend of the NCAA’s in Vegas is fun only if you like waiting in lines. People camp out for seats in the sports books at 4am (literally – I’ve seen it), cab lines are insane and there are tons of clueless assclowns making their first trip there. Having said that, it’s definitely an electric atmosphere, as everyone seems to have money on every game, and anywhere there’s a TV, there are people with a vested interest.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:26 am
Irish…Brennan’s problem is that the offense really wasn’t pro style…he was out of the shotgun 90% of the time…I meant Vince Young was as well so it can be done…but apparently the problem he is having is he is not good at identifying the open receivers and he may not have the arm strength needed…that last part sounded strange to me but that was something I heard in one of those combine scouting reports. He alos is not the biggest guy in the world…which I also think is bullshit…but I am totally not sold on Matt Ryan…to me there are no first round QBs.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:29 am
Brennan is probably a second day pick. Matt Ryan not overly impressive. What happened to Andre Woodson?
March 19th, 2008 at 8:33 am
@pki – Big 10 is great in hockey…unless a school west on Minneapolis wins it this year (Hope not)
March 19th, 2008 at 8:34 am
Woodson got picked apart at the senior bowl by the scouts.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:35 am
matt ryan is a joke. he’s not a good college QB, let alone a pro prospect…but who knows?
brennan’s issue isnt arm strength, it’s his delivery angles. his delivery isn’t consistent and will go from textbook to sidearm at a moment’s notice. and when he’s not the tallest dude, a sidearm delivery spells doom for a qb (see: david carr. bernie kosar threw sidearm, and VY does too, but theyre both tall).
Andre Woodson is plummeting…why? i have no idea. scouts dont like his slow delivery (which killed byron leftwich’s career) and his lack of mobility. thats a lot of sacks waiting to happen unless you have an all-world line. i like him better than ryan and brennan tho. he makes quick reads and puts the ball on the button unlike either of those two.
flacco is the wildcard. he has a ridiculous gun and is accurate, but who knows what he can do against top competition? who knows if he can read a legit defense? he’s got it physically tho.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:35 am
If you guys want to see some top notch, Hills/OC kitty, go to Tyler Durden NOW. the first pick is kinda NSFW, after the jump are very NSFW.

also, Fuck, Pryor isn’t coming to Penn State.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:37 am
From the Bonds story: “I’m not going to retire. I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he said by telephone from Los Angeles. “I’m working out, I’m training. If my phone rings, it rings, if it don’t, it don’t. I have a cell phone. I have a Blackberry. They work. If something comes up, I’m sure they’ll let me know. I’ll come back in July if I have to. It depends on the circumstances.”
That’s nice to know. If it was an iPhone, that would have changed everything!
March 19th, 2008 at 8:39 am
One of the funniest movie lines ever.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:39 am
I’m along with you guys who have no idea who these hot chicks are, but i like looking at them, so keep them coming. I don’t mind googling names.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:41 am
@TBL- almost 300 right now in the bracket challenge. im guessing almost 350 by tomorrow morning
March 19th, 2008 at 8:43 am
292 Entries @ 7:40 MST. We’ll hit 300, meaning TBL will send out a prize! Oh boy!
March 19th, 2008 at 8:45 am
The link to those audrina topless pics is in the Jamie Little post
March 19th, 2008 at 8:50 am
Matt Ryan kinda remins me of those Texas Tech quarterbacks who put yp great number because all they do is throw the ball.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:58 am
I think that that “Matt Ryan Pro Day” was way overplayed. Between the Matt Ryan hype machine and the Glenn Dorsey smear campaign that is taking place (yes, I’m biased), I’m really turned off by the draft right now.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:02 am
Jay…there are doubts about dorsey that are legit. he is a DT after all, not the most motivated of players. that and his injury makes for some serious questions about investing at least $10 million guaranteed. plus, he’s not a fit for the 3-4, so that right off the bat hurts his stock with the Dolphins, Jets, Pats, and Ravens in the first round.
i wouldnt be surprised if he went to the raiders, rams or falcons nor would i be surprised if he slipped out of the top 10 and became the next warren sapp (drafted i think 12th after teams passing because he cheefed chronic).
March 19th, 2008 at 9:03 am
I hope Dorsey falls to the Saints at 10.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:05 am
I know there are questions out there, but NFL personnel floating rumors about a surgery that might not have taken place is a little sleazy IMO.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:05 am
301 entries – the TBL prize is in play. God I hope it’s a Scheyer bobblehead.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Jay…thatd be pretty nice. youd have a sick D-line, Vilma and Morgan. plus, he’d be relatively cheap so you could throw some money at Will Smith. i like the saints, but when they signed charles grant to that mega contract (and hes not that great) they kinda fucked themselves.
ya’ll gonna cut deuce? he’s pricey as shit and he’s 30. not a good combo.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:06 am
@Dan-tastic:
Thank you for making my day. In my opinion Audrina is the sexiest of the Hills chicks.
TBL – Not sure if you can link to it, but as Dan pointed out, WWTDD.com has picks of a pre Hills, Audrina in a topless photoshoot, with a couple behind views. Very nice pics!
March 19th, 2008 at 9:09 am
I agree the money they spent on Charles Grant should have went on a top tier cornerback.I think they hold on to Deuce another year.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:13 am
the money on grant couldve been used on 2 CB’s. spending that kinda money on a CB would be just as dumb. i dont understand why a lot of these NFL teams are blowing out the bank to get CB’s when it’s pretty much proven that they have little impact on the success of the defense.
ive been tooting this horn for awhile now, and then Oakland goes and gives D. Hall, a guy who gets toasted regularly, $70 mil over 7 years. just ridiculous.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:13 am
Never mind TBL on my post above…I hadn’t refreshed and you made that comment on the link.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:18 am
Hopefully the Saints will be able to put a little pressure on the qb this year and Reggie learns how to hit the hole. But seriously does anyone know where my 49ers can get some help for our offensive line and possibly a quarterback.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:23 am
Tried to make my bracket last night on ESPN.com and the bracket itself won’t load. It just keeps blinking “Loading-Please Wait”. I opened it in firefox and explorer, had the same problems in both.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:25 am
Right now I don’t think they cut Deuce. Deuce agreed to delay his bonus briefly to help out, but until then, most people thought he was gone. Deuce is probably the second most popular Saint in New Orleans right now (behind Brees, not Bush) because he’s a good guy and he helped out a lot post-Katrina behind the scenes.
Spencer, there are stories down here that Charles Grant might move to DT. I hope that the Grant contract doesn’t keep them from resigning Will Smith. I’d rather have Smith than Grant. But the Saints are also sitting pretty right now with the cap. They might have enough money to sign Smith and give Marques Colston and Jahri Evans long-term contracts.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:25 am
jb49ers…rumor has it SF will try and get Gosder Cherulius from BC as a RT. i watched a few games of his, he’s pretty solid, definitely a mauler, but doesnt have the agility or technique to play LT.
i dont think that SF should give up on alex smith, call me crazy, but brady or manning would suck just as hard with the shit SF has been throwing out there around him. AWFUL OL, AWFUL recievers, terrible game plan…nobody could succeed like that.
if i was SF, id grab as many good wideouts as i can in the 3rd-5th rounds. they need some decent guys on the outside and you can get a good WR later on, plus martz can find gems in the deep rounds (shaun macdonald, kevin curtis, mike furrey).
somewhere, sometime tho, SF is going to crumble unless they get a legit NT and a pass rushing threat from their OLB spot (could be filled if manny lawson could actually stay healthy).
March 19th, 2008 at 9:28 am
Jay…yea, i heard that deuce did taht with his deal and everything, nice stuff. grant would be a great 3-technique DT in my opinion, he’ has solid inside pass rush moves and can hold the point of attack pretty well. colston needs to be signed long-term.
the saints, more than anything, need a good free safety to help play deep. maybe move jason david there, he cant cover anyone and is actually not that bad playing in a large zone like he was used to in Indy.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:33 am
Darrel Jackson, Issac Bruce, Bryant Johnson and Arnaz Battle at wide receiver who the hell is scared by that? Vernon Davis need to stay healthy and become a beast.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:35 am
darrell jackson was cut, im pretty sure. i actually like battle tho, he has solid technique and runs pretty good routes. granted, he’s probably your no. 1 WR, which he isnt a fit for, but if you guys got a stud WR and could put battle in the slot or on the other side, he’d be really effective.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:36 am
Yeah, Josh Bullocks has gone from promising rookie ballhawk to a waste of space.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:40 am
I dont wanna give up on Alex Smith yet either but I thought last year was the year we would return to the playoffs.I do like Battle he is tough and physical but where are the speed guys who can stretch the field in this offense. Will Martz go crazy and forget about Gore too many questions right now. At least the defense is average.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:43 am
P.S. The porn ads are still up… just saw one when I first opened TBL.
March 19th, 2008 at 9:49 am
jb…martz is kind of a weird issue. on one hand, he’s a genius, on the other, the only offensive weapons you guys have are a TE and RB, things he traditionally avoids like the plague (unless your name is marshall faulk). your O-line still sucks even tho Staley looks to be a pretty solid pro.
and as great as willis, lewis and clements are…you guys just let marques douglas go and bryant young retired. marques douglas was one of the best 3-4 DE’s in the NFL and, uh oh, he’s gone. not good news for your run D or willis’ health (LB’s get beat up badly when their DL can’t occupy blockers).
