2008 Culture Bracket: Lupica vs. Bayless
2008 Culture Tournament March 20th. 2008, 1:00pm
Mike Lupica owns the Sports Reporters, isn’t friendly with Whitlock, and as the rumors go, the New York Daily News columnist has a habit of running talented journalists out of the Daily News. On the plus side, he was mentioned on Seinfeld.
Skip Bayless needs no introduction.
Here’s the full bracket, in case you’re scoring at home.

Ahh the classic debate “Giant Douche”, “Turd Sandwich” debate, right up there with LeBron-Kobe

How long is voting for?
Skips stupidity has TREMENDOUS upside, while Lupica’s Ego has “long length” Gotta go w. Skip.

Can I vote for a city bus to take both of them out?
March 20th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
This one is going to go down to the wire. Nice matchup.
March 20th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
All voting until about midnight tonight.

No way Lupica’s ego loses out.
March 20th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
This is a classic 12 vs. 5 matchup. The idiocy of Bayless will prevail in the end.

This is a classic 5 v 12 match up. There really isn’t a wrong pick.

I dont think you realize HOW clueless Skip Bayless is. he actually believes that junk spewing from his face vagina.

Odd question here… Anyone know the highest scoring NBA game by a single team in regulation? Google is not my friend today… Anyone? Thanks in advance-
Dave

I don’t think anyone truly realizes how big Mike Lupica’s ego really is. I get e-mails from time to time from “insiders” (sometimes even coworkers of Lupica), simply because they support my name. That’s really telling. Gotta go with the little man with the big ego here…

UPSET ALERT!!!!!
March 20th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Wow. My vote tied it at 77-77. This might be the closest vote of the first round right here….
March 20th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
Damnit. I have nothing funny or insightful to say about this one.
I wish the two were actually paired off in a fight to the death, equipped with machetes and flame-throwers. That is all.

Tony ROMEO….hahaha thats what i call him because i am so fucking clever

March 20th, 2008 at 1:29 pm

March 20th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
PRINCE JAMES!!! I AM SUCH A CONTRARIAN!!!!
March 20th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
New York myopia vs. general idiocy–can they both lose?
March 20th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
I think the better question would have been Charlie Weis’ ego v. Lupica’s.
March 20th, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Lupica would chew up Wies and spit him out like a rookie beat reporter.
March 20th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Dave – I thought Denver just set the record the other night – 164?
March 20th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Dave – wikianswers say 173 (Boston – 2/27/59; Phoenix – 11/10/90)
March 20th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
mmonast…don’t forget TEAM OBLITERATOR. that one drives me up a wall.
March 20th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Wies would look at Lupica and say “Get In my Belly!”
March 20th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Lupica suffers from “short guy” disease(smarminess, big ego), much like Costas. No way he doesn’t advance; it would be a blow to his ego…
March 20th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Oh my! The floor has opened up and swallowed both Lupica and Bayless! It looks neither will win and the winner of The Office/30 Rock will receive an automatic spot in the Sweet 16.
March 20th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
DUDE! if we can get 6 more votes for lupica neither will win! fuck both of these assholes.
March 20th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
Thanks, Ben! My Dad thought Boston set the record way back when, and I was wondering if Denver got close a few days ago. I appreciate the help.

Skip Bayless at one point last year said he didn’t consider LeBron to be one of the top 20 players in the NBA. Enough said.
