The Roundup: That was a FOUL!
Baseball, College Basketball, Golf, NFL March 23rd. 2008, 11:20am
Good Sunday morning and Happy Easter to those of you celebrating (if you’re not celebrating Easter, you can still accept the well wishes – shhh, I won’t tell). We have another outstanding day of college basketball ahead of us, with Arkansas/North Carolina looking to be the show stealer for the day. And continuing with yesterday’s theme, we also use today to celebrate Kelly Kapowski. She’s super.Â

How do you outdraw the Nuggets and Avalanche as a lacrosse team? Women in bikinies, of course. [Fan IQ]
Since we have Kelly Kapowski pictured above, might as well link to the column giving 11 concrete reasons AC Slater was a sissified pansy. [JoeSportsFan]
Cedrick Wilson’s girlfriend says the fight between the two was “miscontrued“. I don’t think the Steelers will care. [Pittsburgh Tribune Review]
Miguel Cabrera will be around Detroit for the next 8 years, thanks to a healthy $153 contract. [Detroit Free Press]

How many brackets did State screw up last night?
Never look past a Tom Izzo team. He’s one of the best at getting his team ready in a short time, and most of his coaching moves pay off-although last night, I didn’t quite agree with leaving Ibok in there for so long. That guy could have lost the game for us by himself.

I happen to like the guy, but I’m not sure that Dick Enberg was the right choice to do the UCLA game last night–especially since he made his name by announcing, among other things, UCLA basketball. He seemed a little too excited after the game.

Of course, if the Aggies would have made like 4 baskets in the last 10 minutes of the game, it wouldn’t have come down to that in the first place.

I’m 3-4 so far in games involving the Big 10. I had K State beating Wisconsin (not even close), and Temple beating Michigan State (some 12 was beating a 5). Fortunately I had Pitt going no further, so my bracket is not dead yet.

Do you think Wilco knows that CBS is ripping off their song “Can’t Stand It.” That “Madness…March Madness” song is the same thing.
