Masters Round-Down
Golf, Television April 13th. 2008, 7:38pm
Congratulations to Trevor Immelman – your 2008 Masters champ! Unfortunately, Google search results for Mrs. Immelman were inconclusive. You’ll just have to settle for Elin Woods. Poor you.
Before I pack it in for the weekend I just want to remind everyone what the Masters is all about – talking on the phone when you’re in a public restroom. Again special thanks goes out to ESPN’s Jason Sobel who didn’t have the site shut down when I was implying that he was drinking at work. Thanks again, Jason!
I asked this morning and it turns out Lil’ Penny ran into some tough times. [The On Deck Circle]
Now that we know that – here’s a Lil’ Penny commercial. Terrible video quality though. It reminds me of when I was a kid watching television in my room using rabbit ears to get network TV. What? You didn’t use bunny ears to watch TV? Whoop-dee do for you Mr. Rockefellar.
And while we’re on the subject of classic commercials – where are all the Grandmama spots? And why can’t I find the clip of Steve Urkel and Grandmama winning the 2-on-2 tournament? Sure I can find this clip of the Urkel dance, but I can’t find Larry Johnson’s appearance? And where’s the episode where Steve was the hero for the school’s basketball team? Hmm?
How the hell did I get from Trevor Immelman to Family Matters so quickly?
Thanks for stopping by,
CRM

Now who, exactly, has been drinking on the job?

I’m sober – I just tend to ramble like an idiot.

Who here would take Utah at 15:1 to win the title?

Pretty good odds, but I don’t see how anyone beats the Celtics.

That’s the only way to ramble, friend. Except for the sober part.

Go Jazz, but they’d have to beat the Spurs and Lakers back-to-back just to get to the conference finals. The move would be to take the 2/3 seed, because with LA in the 1st spot, and Spurs in the 4/5th, that half of the bracket is murder.
But do you believe in the Hornets or Rockets?

Immelman made Vijay Singh’s celebration from 2000 look like one of the Gramatica brothers.
