The Roundup: Draft Week is Upon Us
Athletes and Celebrities, Baseball, Golf, Media Gossip/Musings, NFL, NHL, Soccer April 21st. 2008, 8:00am
Happy Birthday, Carmen Electra … we’ve got an interview you may enjoy coming your way around lunchtime …Stacey Dash is in high demand of late, and with good reason. Shouldn’t an athlete make a play for her? … sadly, the first of what probably will be many copycat beatdowns put on the internet. Too bad they picked a kid whose father is the police chief … sketchiest publication in the free world says Cheryl Cole is getting too skinny because of her breakup from Mr. Soccer Guy … everytime we link her up, can we just toss in a link to these photos? … find George Karl’s hand … we hear Artie’s back on the Stern show, but we need to get our online listening info later today to catch the replay, so please, no spoilers …
This is Mel Kiper’s week, and we’re excited about it. We’ll probably have 1-2 draft posts a day, and don’t forget, Thursday is the big commenter draft, so get your act together, people. If you wanted to be part of it and then don’t show up Thursday … let’s just hope this doesn’t happen.

I love Stacey Dash and always will, but I can’t imagine a current athlete wanting to get involved.
She is 42 years old; unless they like ‘em some cougar.
April 21st, 2008 at 8:27 am
I don’t know Nick, Stacey Dash may be perfect for Shaq?

April 21st, 2008 at 9:00 am
For some reason I think Ballin may get a little frisky today.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:01 am
Did anyone hear Kiper and McShay talking this weekend about Matt Ryan, and Kiper said that if Ryan was still on the board after the Ravens pick that he would basically quit his job and let McShay take over for him.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:01 am
All that’s happened in Ballin’ so far has been mere prelude to the playoffs.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:02 am
damn Pistons and their arrogant asses. good for the fans to boo them off the court last night. its about time the fans took out their frustrations on them.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:02 am
@ irish – don’t read the part where TBL put money on the Raptors.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:03 am

April 21st, 2008 at 9:06 am
Spencer, I’d like to put Carmen in the HOF now. Better than when she retires. and when I say retire, I mean cellulite city.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:07 am
pistons and cavs suck. i just pray to god boston doesnt make it to the finals…i wouldnt be able to stand the bullshit. i might have to distract myself with work.
that little sunday convo with the ‘big 3′ and michelle tafoya was just horrible. stu scott telling people to watch KG’s eyes for the INTENSITY. gimme a break. thank god saved by the bell’s commercials ended quickly.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:08 am

April 21st, 2008 at 9:10 am

April 21st, 2008 at 9:11 am
Gonzo…we’re in the information age, we can savor her best flavor in picture form. who cares what she looks like now? farrah fawcett was smokin foine and i bet shes more wrinkled than a raisin (is she still alive?)
April 21st, 2008 at 9:12 am

TBL calling the Magic a bunch of jokers tossing up crap during the weekend
April 21st, 2008 at 9:13 am
@Sparty–but I thought a 16 has never beaten a 1 seed?
/blinded by homerism
April 21st, 2008 at 9:14 am
mmonast, that Sixers bandwagon I’ve been driving for a few weeks still has room, feel free to jump on board. And that Sunday Convo is on now, and yes, it is brutal, f* boston.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:15 am
lets wait for Ballin fellas so we can fill up that thread. there will be 20 comments within the first 2 mins with this pace
April 21st, 2008 at 9:16 am
I’d still do Carmen Electra. I don’t care who she’s been with. Yeah, I said it.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:16 am
lol coop ill cheer for the sixers if only to see detroit suffer just an amazing upset
loved that they booed their team off the court after that game
April 21st, 2008 at 9:17 am
holding my breath about playoffs until ballin (fucking pistons)…
April 21st, 2008 at 9:17 am
@mmonasty- better than getting pepsi and beer tossed on you
April 21st, 2008 at 9:17 am
I agree Spencer. Although I like it when people are remembered while they are still in their prime. For instance, take Al Pacino. He hasn’t made a good movie in many years, let’s give him a career achievement trophy now, rather than when he’s passed on and all we remember is, umm i dunno, 88 minutes?
April 21st, 2008 at 9:18 am
How bout that Rasheed Wallace? What a douche sneaking into the Sixers huddle with less than 2 minutes remaining. I despise him.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:21 am
Stacey Dash doesnt look like she aged at all
here is my favorite video with her in it. Safe for work. Its looks like its cold out

April 21st, 2008 at 9:21 am
so, when do the Yankees sign Frank Thomas so that they have RH power other than an injured A-Rod?
April 21st, 2008 at 9:22 am
I’m pretty confident Rasheed Wallace could be one of the top 6 or 7 best players in the NBA if he had a head on his shoulders. Instead, he is clinically insane (and I’m not even joking…I really think he has some serious issues).
April 21st, 2008 at 9:24 am
im more of a coke man irish…how bout your boy just going insane sun night?
April 21st, 2008 at 9:24 am
@atl: I disagree completely. He’s always been overrated, IMO.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:26 am
@mmonasty- just another walk in the park
April 21st, 2008 at 9:27 am
Tommy – Can you EMAIL me a time and date of when this happened? Thanks.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:28 am
I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall this weekend and it was pretty good. Kristin Bell was in a bikini half the movie and looked just ridiculously hot.
April 21st, 2008 at 9:47 am
@Nick–I would say he’s been overrated because people often rate him on his potential, which I feel like is through the roof. I hate the guy, always thought he’s a douche, but he’s got a great low post game and can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Just my opinion. If he had any kind of focus, the sky’s the limit. Of course, it’s a little too late now.
April 21st, 2008 at 10:35 am
@TBL – I just sent you the MP3 from Friday’s Mike and Mike where he said it.
April 21st, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Just checked out Peter King’s “Mock” Draft. The guy is a serious fucktard.
