Delonte West Sinks Wizards in Game 4

LeBron James had 34 points and 12 boards, and had the game-winning assist thanks to tie-breaking three with 5.4 seconds remaining. Since Delonte hit the shot, James will be viewed as a team player. However, had West missed and the Wizards gone on to win in regulation or overtime, media hacks would have chastised LeBron for being afraid to take the winning shot… just like last year.Â
But alas, the Cavs are up 3-1 in the series and LeBron won’t have to encounter such ignorance (looking at you, Mariotti and Plaschke). DeLonte finihed with 21 points and was 5-8 from three point land, by the way.

I turned it off when the Cavs were up 15. Luckily they pulled it out. West’s first name sounds like a sexual move.

The West post-game interview was classic. He said some rhyme thing that was hilarious – in a wow-this-guy-is-an-idiot way.
Clutch shot though, which will make for some rabid Cavs fans tomorrow.

Yeah, he sounded like an idiot. I didn’t really understand what he was saying, but he sounded dumb. That herpes lip/chin thing is weird, too.
But, yeah, big bucket there. As you see, double teaming LeBron isn’t always a good thing.

He comes off that way, but I, honestly, think he’s hilarious and has great comedic timing. Seriously. Between Veal, Scot Pollard, and Delonte, the Celts were almost one of the most awkwardly funny teams in the league.
