This is Selita Ebanks. Osi Umenyiora is a lucky, lucky man. We’ve started to pick some interns, but there are still “resumes” to get to. You’ll see their work shortly. We do hope to respond to everyone. After the jump, Reggie Bush, miscaptioned.
Buzz is Buzzy: Dodger Thoughts, Double Nickels, Deadspin, AJ Daulerio, Scott’s Shots, Fire Joe Morgan, Fanhouse, Awful Announcing, all have a take on the HBO show last night.

The prom thing was funny. The best part is that the girl said yes and she is actually pretty cute.
April 30th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
That girl is cute? Where the hell did you go to high school?
April 30th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
TBL, you got got!
April 30th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
That beer pong crazy shot video is tremendous. I miss having that much time on my hands to do nothing in college.
April 30th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
The prom thing shouldn’t resulted in suspensions. God.
April 30th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
@the prom thing: there shouldn’t be suspensions, but what ever happened to writing in on your cock and the girl can read it when she goes downtown?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Pac 10 and Big 10, eh… you mean the two BCS conferences most likely to get embarassed in a tournament/playoff? Color me surprised.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
I hope the Bulls swiftly snatch up Avery Johnson. Fuck this Rick Carlisle garbage, what’s the point of another Skiles?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Reggie Lewis huh? yahoo sports in on point i see
April 30th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
@Diesel: She was cute…relative to Barbaro.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Couldn’t agree more, Diesel. I will boycott the Bulls next season if they do get him.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
The beer pong thing is sweet. By the by, where I’m from thats called “Beirut”. “Beer Pong” is ping pong with beer.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Cuban doesn’t want to admit he fucked up bringing in Kidd. Harris was more suited to Avery’s style of play than Kidd-didn’t Avery pretty much mold Harris into the type of point guard he was when he played?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
@schnitzengiggles: Let me guess, you’re from New England?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Our Beirut was the version of beer pong where you could chase after the balls on each shot (in reference to the collisions that usually happened).
April 30th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
Liverpool ties it at 1 … nice goal
April 30th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Wow, Isringhausen came in and didn’t blow a save today. Cards Win!!!!
April 30th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Good to see someone paying attention to the biggest sporting event happening this week
April 30th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
Albany, New York – We call it beer pong. 2 balls, 10 cups. Bouncing is two cups and blowing is for bitches.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
The damn remote for the TV in our cafe is broken, otherwise I’d be in there watching the Chelsea-Liverpool match
April 30th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
You play with ten cups CoRM, I usually play with 12, agreed on the rest. How many re racks per game?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Reminds me of the old MJ and Larry Legend McDonald’s HORSE commercials
April 30th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Those cup shots are tremendous. Too bad some of the balls weren’t ping pong balls and probably bouncy balls. I’m a frequent beer ponger and I can assure you it’s impossible to bounce a ball that far and off that many objects with little effort but such precision. Ping pong balls just don’t bounce like that. Nonetheless, some outstanding shooting.
P.S. Would’ve been sweet if those dudes were drinking beer instead of water.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Cousins of Ron Mexico: Ever played 21? It’s beer pong on steroids.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
CRM: Ever played with tequila shots instead of beer? That was a fun night.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Lots of Beirut played at SIU as well as baseball. Just flip the pyramid around with four cups in front, one in the back. Single, Double, etc. Good times. 9 innings got you tanked if it was a high scoring game
April 30th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
SEC/Big 12…please take OSU on, we don’t want to be affiliated with the Big 10 any longer. We don’t care if everyone else makes fun of us or we lose an extra game per year, we’re just sick of being lumped in with Michigan and Michigan State and Purdue. If you have it in your hearts, please take us, we’re as batshit crazy as all of you are and we’re willing to travel.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
No, I’m from California. I’ve learned that everybody has their own variation of the rules, but its almost always fun. Beer + competition = good times!
April 30th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
wine pong/beirut will destroy anyone. same with liquor pong/beirut
April 30th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
I am sick and f’in tired of the Pac-10 & Big-10 holding up a CFB Playoff. I am sorry all of your teams except maybe USC will get there asses kicked out of the playoffs in the first round. Maybe you should take a hint from Zook and recruit some speed. Someone (the SEC) needs to stand up to these shitheads. They could make so much more money than they are making now and I do NOT want to hear about concern for the “Student Athlete”. 8 teams, use the existing bowls and BCS games and lets go.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
SuperVisor…OSU is gonna whoop USC’s ass raw this year.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Reracks depend on house rules. Here’s College Humor doing God’s work for Beer Pong vs. Beirut
April 30th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
@spence: tOSU, please. And yes, we’re gonna fuck rape the world this year. Or at the very least, Michigan.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
10 cups, half full, 2 balls, both balls same cup= game over, 2 re-racks, free for all for lose balls depending on the situation
April 30th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Whoa Nick, big accomplishment there.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
I’m a one re rack per game kinda guy or re rack on 3.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
One headline that was left out of the PM roundup:
http://www.reuters.com/article/email/idUSN2319603620080423
I almost squirted coffee out of my nose after reading this headline. Watch out gentlemen!
April 30th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
This was in a roundup about a week ago.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Kate Hudson could go to the zoo and not rank in the top 100 most Beautiful there, yikes. I thought that TBL pointedly ignored lists?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
@Nick, you mean like App State
April 30th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
@Diesel: Yeah I know. It’s sort of like beating Bowling Green at this point. Still fun though.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
BEARD – We’re in the final minute of regulation tied at 1. i have a post ready for as soon as it’s over. Rain is brutal and has kind of ruined the second half. the drogba strike in the 1st have was wicked
April 30th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Soccer?
Know your demos!
We like cricket, tits, and Suite Life with Zack&Cody re-runs.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
The D on Liverpool’s goal looked like it was just awful
April 30th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
It was indeed, you may be holding onto that post for a while as it looks like extra time and the way the game is moving PKs
April 30th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Nice find CRM! So I guess I’m in the minority.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Beard: Wouldn’t it have been offside if that last Chelsea defender had crept forward a bit?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Whoops my bad on the old news. I must have missed it…still frickin hilarious!
April 30th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
@fetch, definitely kalou was almost offsides, but it was a great run and a great ball
April 30th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Chelski up 2-1
April 30th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Holy what a goal
April 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Can someone explain to me the offsides in soccer?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
*cancel that
April 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
MICHAEL ESSIENN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
chelsea 2-1 four minutes into OT
came off a corner … ball bounced out and he sent a rocket into the back
OH NO … 90 seconds after the goal, they call it INTERFERENCE!!!!
NO GOAL (replays back this up – it was an Avery-like block of the keeper)
April 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
at Penn State we play 6 cups with no bouncing, girls can blow and guys can finger; and basketball players play with themselves
April 30th, 2008 at 4:45 pm

April 30th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
sponge…you mentioned PSU bball players, do you know dan morissey?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
I love when the goalie goes the wrong way on a penalty kick. Yes, I know it’s hard. It’s still funny.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
At tOSU, we played 2 girls, 1 cup. Winner take all.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
wow, what a roller coaster
April 30th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
+1 consultantnomo
no i don’t know dan morissey, i was referencing our PG jerkin it in the library
April 30th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
sponge…ah. well the kid is a douchebag, so it’s probably a good thing.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
TBL has made this reminiscent of a late night NBA thread. I love it.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
+5 Nomo
April 30th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
I don’t see why they’re not showing WAGS. Gerrard’s wife is diesel
April 30th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
@ Nomo: funny, but I’d rather not visualize that.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm

BLUE
April 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
wow
Drogba goal again
3-1
it’s gotta be over
April 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
@ sponge: So to add to the ghosts of Pattee Library, you’ve now got those of Pringle’s unborn bellybabies? Spooky shit, man. Should just tear the place down.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Nice job by Riise (I think) just stopping and waiting for the flag. What an idiot.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
wow, brilliant passing on that replay
like 4 players passing it around … and Drogba, what a strike
April 30th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
@consultantnomo
possibly, but it would take away one of the best places to blaze on campus
April 30th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Wow, Chelski and Man U for the Premier league title and for the Champions League, uh, championship. Sucks to be an Arsenal or Liverpool fan right now.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Since when did any of us care about Soccer?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
I got hooked on the Premier league and the Champions league when I worked in London and Aresenal vying for the championship of both. The atmosphere was unbelievable.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Man, soccer was my sport growing up. Played with the traveling teams and all that .. so much fun. Most of my buddies in HS went on to play college soccer. One of them briefly lead the country in scoring his senior year when he moved up from marking back to forward at William & Mary.
Not that anyone will care, but my childhood friend is a great story – he moved away to Tenn before middle school, but stuck with soccer. He had scholarship offers from many schools, but wanted ND. So he walked onto the team .. and ended up being the captain jr or sr year and started for, i think, two years. I know that sounds Rudy-like, and that’s kind of because it is.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
I used to live in england when i was a teenager, and could only watch maybe 10 football games a year so i ended up having to watch what was on and eventually got into it.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
We need a grassroots movement to introduce singing and chanting at our sporting events (woofing to ‘Who Let the Dogs Out’ does not count). I’ve been to alot of big stadiums, but never had more fun (by far) than seeing a Wales vs. Australia rugby match at Millennium Stadium in Wales. Them singing’ foreigners are plum crazy.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
Cool. Didn’t realize we had so many soccer and UK connections here.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Apparently we’ve all lived/worked in the UK. I worked there for a year and my brother went to Leeds while on exchange from Penn St. That was soccer heaven on those visits.
Man we are some well-rounded commenters. Eat a dick, Costas. (for Hef)
April 30th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
I was born and raised on soccer, incredibly fun to play and follow and if whenever you get the chance to travel abroad you should try to watch the local team. The way the rest of the world supports soccer teams is incredible.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
The craziest thing about soccer matches in England is that they don’t even serve booze, they are just that rowdy. Granted I’m sure the sauce is flowing freely before the match much like here, but still.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
hey now liverpool
April 30th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
hold the phone … liverpool goal at the 116 mark
wow, 3-2
April 30th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Yeah I get really into the World Cup, but I know f all about the rest of the time soccer is happening. If I was to move out of the country (which may happen down the road), I’m sure that could change. The sense of pride with soccer is great. Reminds me of college football in the South.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Oh snap, what a botched save by Cech
April 30th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
Oh no, not shevchenko.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
Ashley Cole: awful at marriage, good at soccer.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
@Sean Jean, being an Alabama grad I can relate to the atmosphere you are talking about, and that is a really good comparison to what it is like. Everyone is very loyal and boisterous
April 30th, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Damn it, I wish I would have known Liverpool vs Chelsea was happening today, I would have worked from home!
April 30th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
started a new thread with 2 videos on the game
April 30th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
what a game, ManU-Chelsea should be a good match
April 30th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
TBL, is this why you stunk it up on the blacktop?
April 30th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Never saw that one. Nice pull, Clown. Even Lozo obsesses on TBL’s legendary fitness regimen.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Lived in England from 96-98, got into soccer there, became a Man U fan, haven’t followed it all that closely since leaving.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
Reminds me of that guy from Family Guy, Buzz Killington. What a bore.
