Just got out of a two-hour car ride – no ticket, sweet – and heard easily the most shocking news of the week, probably something everybody already has an opinion on: Colts wide receiver/choir boy Marvin Harrison is being investigated by Philadelphia police for shooting a man outside the bar he owns in North Philly.
Too early for hand-wringing on this one; it’s not like we’re dealing with Pacman or Sebastian Telfair here. Plus, it’s Friday.

North Philly is the badlands. Why on earth he owns a bar there, I will never know. Apparently he has a 25 gun “collection”. Sure buddy.

There’s a difference between shooting a man and shooting at a man. I believe Starvin shot at a man and grazed him. Let’s not rush to judgement.

Man, I really hope there’s some kind of reasonable explanation for this. Doesn’t look good right now, I have to say. Wonder how much cap room that’d free up? Anquan Boldin, how do you like laser, rocket arms?

@broseph – Agreed. No one knows for sure what happened here. I mean, there are plenty of good explanations for why a custom-made Belgian weapon was fired seven times “at” a man, and for why said custom-made Belgian weapon was found in a bucket at good ole’ Marv’s carwash with good ole’ Marv present, after good ole’ Marv claimed that the custom-made Belgian weapon in question was locked away at home.

wow im actually disappointed in someone i dont even know. i bet the dude had it coming. everyone talks about how quiet marvin is….maybe just maybe he is quiet like that because the man is just a stone cold gangsta and know that snitches get stitches. no seriously if this happens to be sure i will never remark about how in the super bowl as cedric benson was being a big pussy and sitting the rest of the game out because he was “achy” marvin was giving his trainers the “if you come near me i am gonna shoot at you but actually only graze you” look on the sideline. btw im a bears fan and wouldnt piss on benson if he was on fire. but im sure r. kelly would.

Apparently, his agent says that the reports of him being involved in the shooting are inaccurate. If that’s true, we could have another Duke case on our hands. If I were a columnist I’d be very careful how I write about this over the next few days. If the reports are true, however, that’s a shitload of info leading directly to him. Not to mention one big stain on a great career.
