John Bale was an English churchman, historian and Bishop of Ossory. Wait…no. That’s not right. Damn Wikipedia.

John Bale is a left-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals. Recently you could find him on the DL with a “dead arm.” Bale was scheduled to start tossing batting practice this week, but he suffered a minor set-back.

Dude punched a door.

Now he has a broken pitching hand and will miss even more time. Needless to say, Royal’s manager Trey Hillman isn’t too impressed:

“I’m not pleased,” Hillman said. “Players [have to] think before they do things. They’ve got to think about how it’s going to affect the rest of their team — how it’s going to affect their individual possibilities of being able to perform.”

This reminds me of the time my freshman year roommate punched a door and broke a bone in his hand. He was an art major which is kind of like pitching for the Royals.
