It’s upfront week, meaning all the TV “stars” like Minka Kelly are in NYC to pump up their shows … the cast for the 90210 spinoff is all set … that sure is a giant cow … is money the real reason ASU cut these pretty three major men’s sports? … Remy Ma, which is a fantastic name for a female rapper, gets eight years in prison … that nerdy guy on Gossip Girl somehow landed Blake Lively … the NY anchor who dropped the F bomb Monday is now being called a boozehound … Can’t tell if these are new or old because Reggie Miller refuses to age, but the TNT analyst got his drink on with some ladies … stop asking us about the Romo/Simpson “breakup” because we’re not buying it …

Penn snagging Blake Lively should be no surprise — Josh Schwartz (creator of both series) helped nerdy Adam Brody get Rachel Bilson, at least for awhile.
And from this girl’s perspective — Penn is hot.

The altruism article is an interesting read. Personally, I think it’s more impactful/important/beneficial to throw yourself wholly into a local charity/cause than it is to try and donate a little bit to the huge organizations (United Way/Red Cross/etc.). I don’t donate much to the bigger causes, but I’m a big supporter of local youth athletic leagues.

I can understand eliminating swimming and wrestling (though eliminating swimming but not diving is a wtf move), but tennis? You’re talking about one of the cheapest sports to fund…the facilities are already in place and dirt cheap to begin with, the team is pretty damn small, and most of the players already buy their own equipment.

I agree with Jayhawk..Penn is hot. I think he is way hotter than Chace Crawford(shamelessly, I watch Gossip Girl). Also, at the Rays game last friday Sayesha sang the national anthem before the game and she was great!
