After ostensibly huddling with his cadre of handlers, OJ Mayo has spoken: He took nothing, he paid for nothing, and Louis Johnson, the man who spilled the entire story to ESPN, is motivated by revenge because … wait for it … they had to sever ties because having someone in your crew with a cocaine arrest under their belt might not look savory to the NBA. Now that you’ve finished laughing, here’s something anyone covering this story may want to take a peek at: Random, unsubstantiated, potentially-libelous tales of drama and intrigue in the ESPN comments section! (Courteous of a brilliant tipster.) Just in case the comments have been deleted, we took a screen grab of them last night, and that’s after the jump. Allegations of Mayo’s ties to drug dealers, a sordid story about Mayo’s dad … if there’s a kernel of truth in here, there’s quite a story to be told. Or, one of Mayo’s former classmates has an active imagination.
