Top Shelf: Turco’s Revenge
NHL May 18th. 2008, 12:50pmBarry the Mullet love this time of the year. He claims the Wings’ series of mental errors set up the Stars win. While you wait for Game 5 of the Battle of Pennsylvania, allow Lee Diekemper to take a brief look at yesterday’s game:
Dallas 2, Detroit 1: Facing elimination, Marty Turco finally got the monkey off his back. The Stars goalie, playing in his seventh season, got his first win in Detroit since he was playing at Michigan. Turco stopped 38 of 39 shots. But were Turco’s heroics too late? Joel Lundqvist’s second period goal was the game-winner. NHL history is not on the Stars side.

Dallas isn’t ready to go away quietly. I hope Dallas can win game six, anything to stick it to the Red Wings.
