in regards to that Gas article, i was reading on MSNBC today that experts are predicting $12-$15 per gallon in the future. I might go buy a Vespa

in order to outrun a bear you have to run down-hill, at least thats a rumor I heard.
I imagine it would be hard to out run anything after one or two of those malt liquor 40’s though.

as a recent college graduate in WI, these drownings are huge stories when they happen. i played baseball growing up with one of the victims and it was terribly sad. he was a really smart and nice kid. i don’t believe for a second that these were all accidental drownings like the local police say. i’m happy that these 2 detectives are still trying to figure the cases out.

@CRM: as someone who likes to get drunk and wander, my friends would basically keep a leash on me when i would go visit them at UW-La Crosse where 9 of these “drownings†happened. students there were legitimately worried whenever they would go out.

TBL and everyone else FYI, she was directly in the path of the Mylasian Typhoon that hit a couple years back that took nearly 100k people. Her fiance/photographer was swept away in a tidal wave of water never to be seen again, and she herself was battered for several hours, clinging naked to a tree in flood waters until she was eventually rescued. Give her a break, she used to be much hotter.

Had the good fortune of interviewing her a couple times at my previous gig. Incredibly nice, obviously gorgeous, and the loser that i am, i have a photo with her. one day, perhaps ill post it here. although that’s doubtful – i’d be ridiculed relentlessly.

@Benji. I grew up in La Crosse and a guy who was a year below me in high school mysteriously drown after “a night of heavy drinking.” The thing was is that he was terrified of the water and never went swimming. Really makes one wonder. And this was at least 10 years ago.
