A Summer Without LOST? Depressing.
Television May 30th. 2008, 9:00am
“Press rewind if I haven’t blown your mind.” Who cares if we used that line a few months ago? How does last night’s LOST not cement the show as the greatest in TV history? That’s not hyperbole at all, even though the extent of our TV watching only goes back to the mid-80s when we were salivating over Just the Ten of Us and Fall Guy and Knight-Rider. Perhaps it is all about the era - maybe LOST simply rocks because it is infinitely more appealing than the other options, most of which are lame reality TV shows. Doubt it, though. Spoilers, questions, and photos of our soiled underroos after the jump.
Obviously joking about the crapped pants.
No sign of the EW recap yet (EDIT: Now it is - 945 am), so let’s dive into it with our inane ramblings:
* Kate and Jack’s meeting at the airport culminated with her saying something to the effect of it has been “three years” since they left the island. So Jack’s been strung out on drugs for how long?
* Fast forward to the end, and Locke in the coffin: Many nerds have already looked it up, and guess who Jeremy Bentham was in real life? (He’s No. 1 on google trends.) A weirdo. smart but also strange man. And if you scroll down on the wiki, you see the term auto-icon, and wax head … and yup, THAT’S NOT LOCKE IN THE COFFIN! No way. It’s a fake. A cunning ruse by Ben to try and get Jack back to the island. He’s just mind-fucking him. There’s absolutely no shot that Locke is dead with two seasons left.
* Possibly the exchange of the season happened early between Locke and Jack at the Orchid.
Locke: “You’re not supposed to go home. You know that you’re here for a reason. If you leave this place, that knowledge is going to eat you alive until you decide to come back. You’re going to have to lie. It’s the only way to protect it.”
Q’s: What reason?
Jack: “It’s an island, John. Nobody needs to protect it.”
Locke: “It’s not an island. It’s a place where miracles happen.”
Jack: “There’s no such thing as miracles.”
Locke: “Lie to them, Jack. If you do it as half as well as lie to yourself, they’ll believe you.”
Deep. Reggie Miller deep. HELP!
* It was glossed over, but Miles made it clear that he knew Charlotte had been to the island. There was something said about where she was born, and presumably, that was the island. Not really sure about all this.
* Sawyer whispered something to Kate on the chopper - obviously that was about taking care of his kid.
* Sayid goes in to grab Hurley and says that Bentham’s dead. This leads us to believe Ben relayed this info to Sayid, and he’s trying to get Sayid to rally and get everyone to go back to the island - perhaps he himself can no longer return. Sun will want to go back to look for Jin, Hurley will want to go back because he wasn’t crazy on the island, and Kate will want to go back for Sawyer, who probably will be hooking up with the busty chick whose name escapes us. Wait - it just hit us - everyone will go back to the island. (But why would Sayid want to go back? Ben has something over him, perhaps?)
* When Sun says to Mr. Widmore, “We’re not the only ones who left the island” she must be talking about Desmond, right? Not sure how that will play out - but Desmond and Penny seem likely to return at some point. That reunion with them on the boat was nice. There’s a photo below.
* Ben said “whoever moves the island can never come back.” So is Ben going to send everyone to the island, kind of like how Widmore put together that motley crew to go after Ben? Is Ben getting everyone to go back and get Locke?
* Claire’s appearance: “Don’t bring him back, Kate. Don’t you dare bring him back.” Hello? McFly?

Calling LOST the g.o.a.t. is a stretch. Sure it’s great, but it’s not in the realm of The Wire. Or Life With Louie for that matter.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:09 am
i am still watching the wire … season 2. been stuck for a minute, but should watch more this summer
May 30th, 2008 at 9:10 am
I dunno, for TV shows to be judged they need to be judged by their genre. As for a Sci-fi series, this is bar none THE BEST ever. As a drama series, its definitely top 5.
“Checkmate Mr. Echo” that got me
May 30th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Really hoping Sawyer was going to shove Hugo out of the chopper last night.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:13 am
it was a really good episode. wonder if charlotte is the daughter of the guy locke saw a couple of eps ago, the one who built the orchard. worse part is having to wait until january for new eps.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:13 am
Also, with the Charlotte-born-on-the-island thing: since time is all wacky (see the Suddenly Susan guy being the same age when Locke was a boy), she could be Ben’s daughter, or sister, or anything else related to one of the original “Others.”
May 30th, 2008 at 9:16 am
You honestly think this show is the GOAT?
Sliders, anyone? COMMON!
May 30th, 2008 at 9:17 am
Agreed with Justinsands - based on its genre, I think it’s the best. By far.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:18 am
I would say this is my second favorite drama series, right behind The Wire.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:24 am
Lost is great, no doubt. But it’ll be always second for me behind the two David Simon creations, The Wire and Homicide: Life on the Street. Well, maybe not the last couple seasons of Homicide.
Comeonfuckaguy.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:25 am
It’s pretty clear now that if Sayid and Keamy joined forces, they’d never give up the tag team belts.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:25 am
I’d take the first three seasons of Six Feet Under over it, too. But maybe that’s just because I come from a fucked up family.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:27 am
good call! And is it January?
But wouldn’t Ben have known that when they met?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:27 am
Charlotte finally got interesting. Could she be the cause for the turmoil on the island in the future.
The island doesn’t “let” people die off of the island (i.e. Michael) so is Locke dead? Is Jin dead? Is Mr. Ecko going to make a return?
Why doesn’t Claire want Aaron to go back to the island?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:28 am
Wiseguy with Ken Wahl was one of the greatest TV dramas ever.
I can proudly say I’ve never seen one episode of lost. Other than some old Star Treks, sci-fi bores me to death.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:29 am
@J2B - Locke met the guy who created the Orchid? Can you please refresh my memory on that one? I drawing a blank…
Do you think we’ll ever get an explanation on why those weird voices show up before things happen (the voices on Kate’s phone call before she saw Claire, Michael hearing them before he died, etc)?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:29 am
Also did anyone check out the commercial for this site on the last commercial break?
Octagon Global Recruiting
Most probably didn’t (thanks a lot DVR), but looks like some ploy for the ComiCon in San Diego. Nonetheless it has to do with Lost, so it’s awesome.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:29 am
Easily this show is the best on television right now. The Wire was awesome, but these shows are so much different and so it is impossible to compare them just because of the genre. I also have to say the wire has an advantage, because it didn’t have to worry about the FCC like LOST does.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:31 am
I thought Charlotte might be Ben’s childhood girlfriend (Annie I think her name was) but that wouldn’t make a lot of sense if Ben can’t come back to the island.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:33 am
def the best ever. i thought Sun was talking about Ben being off the island, he being the “other person” responsible for Jin’s death, and she was offering Widmore help in finding Ben - to which he responded, “why are you helping me”
May 30th, 2008 at 9:34 am
I saw the add and did the rewind to make sure, it did seem like an odd commercial.
@ Sportsgal- locke had a dream and the guy was chopping a tree for a little get away fro him and his wife at the time.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:34 am
I kind of thought that Sun saying “we” meant Widmore and her
May 30th, 2008 at 9:35 am
ps - +1 for this call?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:35 am
I think the “other person” responsible for Jin’s death is Widmore. He paid for the freighter to go out to the island, didn’t he?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:35 am
Ben was in vintage form. Jack is holding a gun and he just nonchalantly waddles by and says in his signature condescending tone, “good to see you too, Jack”.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:36 am
Bentham was a weirdo? He invented Utilitarianism (though John Stuart Mill fixed many of the problems with Bentham’s hedonistic version of it later on). From Wikipedia:
“Bentham’s position included arguments in favour of individual and economic freedom, the separation of church and state, freedom of expression, equal rights for women, the end of slavery, the abolition of physical punishment (including that of children), the right to divorce, free trade, usury and the decriminalization of homosexuality.”
What a freak! Ok so yeah, the Auto-Icon thing was and remains weird, but overall Bentham was a damned good philosopher.
/ends distracting rant
May 30th, 2008 at 9:36 am
@kfc - i think the other person Sun holds responsible for Jin’s death is Jack (because he wouldn’t let Frank turn the chopper around), which is why Jack will have so much trouble getting her back to the island
May 30th, 2008 at 9:36 am
yeah but ben killed keamy knowing it would cause the boat to blow up… it was just my initial thought but those are usually wrong
May 30th, 2008 at 9:37 am
If you want to get into the Sci-Fi genre, another HBO series was great, and more cerebral than LOST. Check out Carnivale if you get a chance. They only got to do two seasons, which was a shame.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:37 am
wow sun has a lot of people to blame, even herself for having had an affair and triggered the whole “get on a plane” thing
May 30th, 2008 at 9:39 am
Whenever Sawyer and Kate or Jack and Kate kiss on the island, I think about how fuckin’ gross their breath must be. That’s true love, I guess.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:39 am
she should blame Aaron for not letting her be near Jin when he was working near the bomb
May 30th, 2008 at 9:39 am
+1 clown
May 30th, 2008 at 9:40 am
@superjakrs - oh yeah, forgot about that dude… he seemed insignificant at the time.
Is it safe to assume Jacob was the one who told Ben (some time in the past) the he only way to move the island was by blowing up that weird time travel room in the orchid?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:40 am
@TBL according to this it says midseason, which usually means january.
http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/05/13/the-upfronts-abc/
@sportsgal, it’s the guy he met who had a bloody nose and the body that had the map he found while he, ben and hurley were making the initial press to the shack.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:40 am
LOST, while awe-inspiring, is great, but not quite Earl Manigualt. That title is reserved for The Wire.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:42 am
Glass, I know this LOOKS like a sci-fi show, but i can personally guarantee that if you watch some of the first season, sci-fi is on the backburner. There’s a little, but not a ton.
this is a much, much better theory.
Fair point. will adjust it
May 30th, 2008 at 9:42 am
@tbl - good call on bentham / locke ain’t dead. those tricksy writers and their historical references

True, but Sun has no way of knowing that.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:43 am
Carnivale? Seriously?
We don’t have to suck HBO’s dick on every show. Next thing you know people will start saying they miss Mind of the Married Man or John From Cincitucky
May 30th, 2008 at 9:44 am
@kfceater - The island made her do it.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:46 am
the decriminalization of homosexuality.Fucking fascist prick.

May 30th, 2008 at 9:46 am
@ Dhoffman…Perhaps Jeremy Bentham told Sun about Locke and Keamy
@ TBL and others…I don’t get how the Bentham “auto-icon” makes you think Locke isn’t dead. The “auto-icon” is a dead perserved version of Bentham. Dead is still dead.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:46 am
John From Cincinnati was a clusterfuck of bad.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:48 am

Fair point. I guess anything’s possible….
May 30th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Mind of the Married Man was a decent show. much better than Arliss, and it starred the chick who plays Penelope on Lost.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:48 am
The EW recap is up:
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20203291,00.html
May 30th, 2008 at 9:49 am
Oh man, Arliss sucked a dick. And they kept it on for years and years, but why?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:50 am
@ TBL you kick ass
May 30th, 2008 at 9:50 am
@die_eagles - good point about the auto-icon thing, but what about the whole “the island won’t let you die before your time” deal? Suicide isn’t an option, Michael tried it a bunch of times, remember?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:51 am
Was I the only one slightly disappointed? Maybe I’ve come to expect too much. I just feel like nothing really new happened.
* We knew Kimi’s thing attached to his arm was a trigger to the bomb on the boat.
* We knew that either Locke or Ben was in the coffin.
* We knew Jin was going to die.
* We knew the Others were going to defeat Kimi’s crew.
* We knew the big “secret” they had to keep was so nobody could get back to the island.
And now the “cliffhanger” for S4 is that the O6 have to get back to the island? I was kind of drunk, but tell me what I’m missing.
/still a great season
May 30th, 2008 at 9:55 am
@ sportsgal…yeah I hear ya. Part of me doesn’t think he is dead, but I really don’t know what to think. I just don’t see how the reference to Bentham alludes to him being alive though.
@ Mike..I liked the finale, but I agree slightly dissappointing. The Des/Penny reunion was kind of disappointing after all of the years apart and buildup from the past. We knew the 6 were getting off of the island, we figured they would move the island, we knew Ben had to leave the island for some reason. The actual happening of all of that was kind of weak.
May 30th, 2008 at 9:56 am
Tell Me You Love Me > Mind of the Married Man
due to Penelope showing boobs and chocha
May 30th, 2008 at 9:56 am
That TBL puts Lost above Gilmore Girls and 90210 tells you how much he loves this show.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:01 am
Love for 90210 is just sad.
Question - on the repeat of the episode from 2 weeks ago…during the press conference, Jack mentions the deaths of Boone, Libby, and Charlie. No one here at work remembers that being in the episode when it was shown 2 weeks ago. Do you agree it was no there?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:02 am
@ Pinstripes, I know he mentioned that a few others had survived the crash, but died for various reasons. I am not sure if he actually said the names.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:03 am
What happened to the small boat with Daniel Farraday? Wasn’t he halfway between the island and the freighter when the island disappeared?
Also, whatever Sawyer whispered to Kate, it had something to do with Kate’s phone call a few episodes ago (in the flashforward) that Jack confronted her about.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:03 am
The promos for this week hinted that there would be extra footage for the repeat episode, so that’s where the mention of those 3 came from.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:03 am
still reading the EW recap, but here’s a line that makes me think Jin isnt dead:
May 30th, 2008 at 10:06 am
What happened to the island, or a theory, per EW, and it actually makes sense: ”
So in that 10 month span, somehow, Locke loses control of the island (I suppose) and maybe: a) Charlotte and the survivors take over the island, and since she seems bad, and worked for widmore, b) Ben needs to send the Oceanic 6 back to clean up that mess and help Locke out
?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:08 am
Also, who would they be going back to? Sawyer and Juliet? Who else there is “worth” going back for?
And what was up w/ Jack’s father making an appearance ….. when did he show up again? With someone who is dead now? I can’t remember.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:08 am
No clue how the fuck people do this, but here’s that phone call Kate got that we normal people couldn’t hear:
http://losteastereggs.blogspot.com/2008/05/reversed-phone-message-for-kate.html
May 30th, 2008 at 10:10 am
while i think lost is way up there i think 90210 should be fairly safe in the number 1 spot
May 30th, 2008 at 10:11 am
I can’t see Jin as dead. If they kill main characters, they are gonna make a big deal out of it. Eko got an episode, Charlie got a whole season, they even showed ana lucia. We didn’t see Jin’s death, so I can’t think he is dead.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:12 am
OK, finished the EW recap. A thought:
When the plane crashed in the pilot, Jack’s father was in a coffin, and he came to life on the island. To get back to the island, Locke will be in a coffin … and come to life on the island?
How did Jack’s father die? Car accident? Suicide? I’m probably grasping at straws here …
May 30th, 2008 at 10:13 am
I think we all agree that LOST is probably one of the best shows to ever come on Cable TV. Sure the Sopranos and the Wire are great but they also came on HBO a premium channel.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:13 am
Mike NYC, its ironic that you are let down for most of the reasons that some people get frustrated with the show; namely that there are too many questions. This episode was all about closure and tying up loose ends. Its a lot like the Wire in the sense that you knew *SPOILER ALERT TBL* Bubbles was gonna kill that kid with a misplaced hotshot and you knew Stringer Bell was going to die, but watching it happen and unfold is where the beauty is; not in the surprises.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:17 am
“Well then get on with it, motherfuc—”
Pop. Pop. Pop.
R.I.P.
Stringer Bell
May 30th, 2008 at 10:17 am
How did Jack’s father die? Car accident? Suicide? I’m probably grasping at straws here …
I think he basically drank himself to death in Australia.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:17 am
“The promos for this week hinted that there would be extra footage for the repeat episode, so that’s where the mention of those 3 came from.”
Ah, ok…now that makes sense.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:18 am
i dug the ew recap today more than any other this season. a few things:
1. re why hurley said he should have gone with jack - hurley blames himself for everything bad that ever happens, so if he had gone with jack then none of the freighter kids, including Jin, would not have been blown up
2. i think jin escaped and got picked up by farady, who may or may not have returned to the island and may or may not need desmond (his constant!) next season to be brought out of whatever craziness may have overcome him due to traveling to and from the island
3. if locke has to return to the island, as ben said he does, do walt and desmond have to return as well?
4. will ben be able to go back with the oceanic 6 if they do return?
5. if locke is indeed dead, will he be revived by the island when they return?
i’m gonna miss this show
May 30th, 2008 at 10:18 am
I think with the “closure” on some things, it’s like yes thank you for answering questions, but those weren’t the questions I wanted answered.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Now we just have to figure out whose voice it was on Kate’s phone call.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:24 am
i def can’t tell the voice on the phone. Either Christian/Locke/Jacob/some combination of them all works for me.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:27 am
Upon further review, i def don’t think it’s Locke. My vote is for Jacob/Christian
May 30th, 2008 at 10:28 am
+5 glass yard dog for “Wiseguy” reference; one of the best ever
Part of me wishes I had started watching “Lost” in the beginning; but I was never going to get into the first episode with the plane crashing– I’m terrified of flying in real life, somehow I didn’t think watching that would make it better…
Alas, I’m stuck with my fondness for “Ugly Betty” and was rewarded with one of the worst season finales ever last week. Ugh-
May 30th, 2008 at 10:35 am
Check out these alternative endings:

May 30th, 2008 at 10:36 am
did anyone notice when Claire told Kate not to bring her son back to the island that she had no accent. I recorded it and played it back a number of times. It almost seems like as an actress, she’s trying to sound like a normal American. But there was definitely no australian accent. Thoughts?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:43 am
with that whole island moving thing, i just thought that ben moving that wheel thing in the bottom of that 6th darma station was him just changing the bearing from the 305 to get back to the island. since they could only take that specific bearing to get on/off the island couldn’t he just have changed that and the island is in the exact same place, but to get back they need to find the correct bearing.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:44 am
The second video on that link doesn’t work for me, you can watch the whole clip here:
http://abcnews.go.com/search?searchtext=lost&type=
I was sure that it was Desmond when Ben said he has to go too, since he was on the raft, I was relieved that it was Locke.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:47 am
This is true for The Wire. Not as much so for LOST.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:50 am
So Desmond is now in the same status as Claire right? Why else would they show him almost dying? And he has a similar cut on his forehead. Anyone with me on this? (I’m late to the party but I just woke up).
May 30th, 2008 at 11:01 am
@ Hef…I don’t think Des is at Claire status. He wasn’t on the island, he was revived by Jack, he embraced with Penny (who I don’t think sees dead people), and that would be a really lame way to kill a cool guy like Desmond.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:08 am
Desmond isn’t dead, and he better be coming back.
Jin, on the other hand - he better be gone.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Ay - Desmond better not be dead, brother.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:12 am
@Die Eagles: I agree it would be lame, but it’s still in my head. He’d still come back just like Claire has come back.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:15 am
Claire is so much hotter when she doesn’t talk.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:16 am
She looked chubby last night too. Ghost diets will do that to you.

May 30th, 2008 at 11:19 am
I’m really confused as to why Miles wanted to stay on the island. This is a guy who we saw using his weird ability to scam people out of lots of money. What’s his motivation for staying?
May 30th, 2008 at 11:25 am
with that whole island moving thing, i just thought that ben moving that wheel thing in the bottom of that 6th darma station was him just changing the bearing from the 305 to get back to the island. since they could only take that specific bearing to get on/off the island couldn’t he just have changed that and the island is in the exact same place, but to get back they need to find the correct bearing.
I really dont think Ben changed the bearing as much as he just moved the island in time. Picture time as this straight line.
—————A————————-B—————
If Ben and the island were at point A i think it is very possible that Ben just moved the island to some point in the future (point B). Therefore, the island would not exist between this time and the island will not exist until the Oceanic 6 decide they have to go back (Which is why Ben said it would be dangerous to move the island).
It is possible that when the island reappears at point B (which will be exactly where the island was before) that everyone that was on that island (Miles, Juliette, Sawyer, etc.) will have felt as if no time has passed because in reality it hasn’t for them.
It will be interesting to see in the coming season if they show and on island footage because that would mean that the island has simply just moved bearings and that my theory is meaningless.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:26 am
The first part of my paragraph is from TheRealAC and is not my idea
apologies
May 30th, 2008 at 11:29 am
jking13: that would certainly jive with that line in the orientation video where the scientist says, “the bunny will seem to disappear but really he is just moving forward in time.”
May 30th, 2008 at 11:31 am
i think miles found a ‘higher purpose’ like Locke, or maybe he knew bad things would happen to those who left.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:33 am
I think Miles just likes being in the line of action. He clearly knows that some sh*t is happening on the island, and surely there will be a way to exploit it in the future.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:33 am
jking - interesting, but there’s one problem… The Oceanic 6 don’t decide to go back to the island until they were visited by Locke, who was on the island when it traveled through time. So how could Locke get off the island if he was stuck in a time warp?
May 30th, 2008 at 11:39 am
As for the miles thing, I was thinking he stayed because the voices he hears told him it wouldn’t be safe for him to leave.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:42 am
christian appeared to him while sayid was serving up pwnsauce
May 30th, 2008 at 11:43 am
How about the Ben killing Keamy. Seemed kind of interesting role reversal that he was the one that “snapped” and went vicious with nothing other than…a knife (Richard hates those things). As Locke calmly watched, a role that Ben used to play (the watcher, not the doer).
Also, not sure if it was intended, but Ben goes psycho and kills Keamy, then 2 minutes later is calm cool and collected blowing holes in the walls, time, and space. Was this intentional, or just a gap in congruity?

That was just Ben’s emotions getting the best of him. He was back to his normal controlled self after cooling down a bit.

I don’t know, it just seems that he was very collected 2 minutes after a brutal emotional murder. Either making it seem like the murder of Keamy, and ultimately those on the freighter, was intentional, at least in part.

I wouldn’t say intentional, more that he didn’t really care. He just wanted his revenge on Keamy. He didn’t really know who was and who wasn’t on the freighter at that time.

Did I miss something? Why isn’t Walt considered an Oceanic survivor? His name has to be on the passenger manifest, or is he using another name back in the US? Is Walt now Kevin Johnson, or was that someone else? (Other than the former Suns PG)

If I remember correctly, Walt and Michael had to take on different names when they came back. It was easy for Walt to go into hiding, he’s a 13 year old who looks like he’s 25.

Ben intentionally killed Keamy to kill the boat people. He didn’t want too many people getting off of the island.

sportsgal: I thought the voice on the phone was Sawyer. Just a guess, though…
Miles and Charlotte might be part of some other group, pre-Oceanic 6, and they are making their trip back to the island in the same way that the Oceanic 6/7/8/x/whatever will.

disagree, Ben asked Locke for the weapon back and was crouching in the shadows ready to kill him before Rambo even announced his “insurance policy” intentions. The majority of the boat people, as far as Ben would have know, had never been to the island so there’s no need to stop them from leaving. Besides, Ben seemed resigned to his fate of stepping down and letting Locke take over, so all he really wants right now it seems is to get even with Whitmore.

No love for the Shield in here?? I think it’s the most organically written drama, even ahead of the Wire. If it were on HBO and had it’s PR machine, it would be even more acclaimed. It’s back in September by the way..

Was anyone else surprised at how well Jack’s appendectomy held during his foray to the Orchid and throughout the entire episode with a crashing helicopter? Juliet made such a big deal about it and then it became such a non-issue… not that it’s a big deal, I guess that was my only complaint with a fine ending to a great season…

The Shield is great.
This probably annoys me more than most people, but if you are claiming to be a big fan of a show, learn how to spell the characters’ damn names correctly.

I like the Shield. The last season was a little disappointing but it’s hard to top the end of Season 5. Amazing. I literally teared up.

I mean, it got dusty in the room.

Great show last night, I especially like the Echo name drop when Hurley was playing chess. Hopefully we will see him again

TV is just working at a higher level than film right now. Lost, Wire, Shield, Rescue Me, Dexter all blow away anything in the movies
