Probably the biggest story in the blogosphere today is that Will Leitch is leaving his post as Deadspin Editor. He’s accepted a position as contributing editor at New York magazine. Yet another example of a young man overcoming the blogs to make something of himself.

TBL…I love you…our times together make me happy and your site gets me through my day..but with that said..CRM needs to provide ALL roundup pics..not just a few afternoons a week…It’s not that the chicks you find aren’t hot it is well…I could care less about a red carpet pic of Christina Aguilera…CRM has the pulse of the people…I think its time you understand that…thank you

Interesting to see Leitch on his way out, but it’s hard to be too surprised. I had pretty much stopped reading Deadspin because he was really the only reason I ever visited the site, (I don’t like any of the 5 million guest blogers and columnists he has) and he had pretty much stopped posting there in recent months.
Any chance Gawker can pry MJD away from Yahoo?

@sean jean- i watched some of his high school games. Competition in the state of florida as far as baseball and football go is top notch in the high school level. He was ranked #20 by scout.com for football and was projected to get picked by the Dodgers at pick 15 or whatever pick they had.
but i do see him playing baseball over football in the future. Tenn was one of a few schools that would let him play both

Spencer — yes I am a Yankee fan, and I think Hank sucks donkey nuts. I was glad when George got older, because I thought it would be smooth sailing ahead, and that GM Brian Cashman could retool the right way and possibly construct another dynasty in a few years. Boy, I was wrong. Here’s to hoping Hank does not do what Dolan does as Knicks ownner.

Big Nuts…first off Hank rules…secondly..Brian Cashman wasn’t fixing shit…his ability to find releif pitching is atrocious and how many third basemen does he have to sign to play first and then cut..seriously he is not a good GM..money covers up a lot of mistakes..this year he went his way and his balls are showing

I think some of Cashman’s misfires can be attributed to bringing in mercenaries who don’t fit in New York, for an impatient ownership. As you can see now, I believe players like Melky Cabrera, Robinson Cano, Darrell Rasner, Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy and Joba Chamberlain represent the right way to move along a rebuilding job that should have started a few years back….

Cashman does suck at finding relievers and backup 1b. Dougie Mienkeiadtizkatzwc should have been retained. How do you let the only guy on the team that likes A-Rod go? Fucking idiotic. His bat was nothing to write home about, but he can help cover up bad throws from Jeter and Cano. Speaking of relievers, Farnsworth just allowed another run in the 8th.
