Marshawn Lynch: It’s Beginning to Look Grim
Courts, Legal, NFL June 6th. 2008, 3:06pm
On a day when our server is crumbling like Paul Pierce – too bad there isn’t a wheelchair available, or we’d plop the POS onto one, and send it out the window – so too seems to be the immediate future of Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch. That mysterious hit-and-run accident that took place in Buffalo over the weekend involving Lynch’s SUV? There’s been no definitive answer as to whether he was driving or not, but according to a TV station (via There is No Offseason) there are four witnesses who allege that Lynch was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
If Lynch is smart, he’ll think back to the Puffy-J. Lo-Shyne incident in NYC in 1999. You may recall the particulars – gun-play explodes at a club Puffy and Jennifer Lopez were at, and they escape in an SUV, but are pulled over the by the cops and an gun was found in the car. The case went to court and Shyne took the fall. He claims to have fired a gun in the club – he says in self-defense after some character approached the table and threw money at Puffy’s crew – and took the 10 years in jail. His promising rap career was put on hold.
Really, does anyone expect Lynch to admit guilt?

how bad is the punishment if he’s found guilty?
June 6th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
@spencer – if found guilty, he has to play his entire career in Buffalo.
I’d take death.

I don’t think a first offender H&R would get that much. The woman luckily is fine, so you’re talking about a few years of probation, community service, decent fine, and at worst a week or two in the can.

This biggest tragedy in all of this will be that his blog might have go on a hiatus? What will I do without these kinds of posts?

Holy fucking WordPress database connection error…

he needs to get Jerramy Stevens to testify as a character witness.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Oh and don’t be too hard on Marshawn, at least he didn’t go to USC. I will always have a special place in my heart for him simply for that reason.

Those snitches are Jets fans.

Dictator Goodell is coming down hard. 8 games minimum.

June 6th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
The Patriots have video of this incident.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
if he is out for any amount of time, my bills will be luck to win 5 games. The bills have nobody else to rely on at the RB position
What a stupid mfer Marshawn Lynch is for even putting himself in a situation
June 6th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Losman’s proven he can take hit Irish …
June 6th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
my gosh that is fantastic
June 6th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
fantastic
June 6th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
dont even get me started on that sorry mfer. Trent Edwards is better in my opinion.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Irish as a fan when you are arguing about who is better JP Losman or Trent Edwards you know you have sorry QB’s.
Like me as a Niners fan and our choices being Shuan Hill or Alex Smith.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
But you could have both on the field at the same time Irish.
Imagine the white-ness!
June 6th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
sad. It will be even worse the day i have to go to Toronto to see my team. Fucking eh
June 6th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Sign Travis Henry, the team can rent a motel 8 for his kids cheap.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
bills fan here too.
if it was me being hit by marshawn, and i wasnt seriously injured, id have lied and said it was someone else. way to possibly fuck up the season for us….
/obviously kidding
June 6th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I want to know how Marshawn remained eligible at Cal.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
F Travis Henry. We already had that bum.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Better to see one game a year in Toronto than 8 games a year in LA.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Lynch has driving troubles? Who’d have thought?
June 6th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
we should have kept henry though. we wasted two first rounders on rb since then: mcgahee and lynch. sure, they are both better than henry (though i was never a fan of mcgahee), but those two picks could have been the wide receiver, a tight end, or a defensive lineman that the bills desperately need
June 6th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
@king of carrorts- you new on here? welcome if you are
oh man, i was skeptical about the drafting of Mcgahee. Im a big Hurricane fan(grad of the U) but after seeing his knee get blown up i didnt think it was a good move. At least he is doing okay in baltimore, not nothing spectacular
June 6th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
yeah, i just joined this week, though ive been reading the comments for months now
yeah, that injury was gruesome- it certainly is nice that he recovered. but ive just never been a fan of his. he seemed too hesitant when running. and then of course there was the ripping of buffalo…
the move just made no sense. we had so many other needs…
June 6th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
They must be going crazy in the entertainment district.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
it doesnt help with the amount of coaches that we have had either installing new systems. Greg Williams, Mike Mularkey and now Dick Jauron. I think our D is good enough to compete, but our offense sucks
June 6th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
The tattoo on his left hand says “hit” and the right hand says “run”
June 6th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
kc joyner said on a chat today (or yesterday) that we could have one of the best d’s in the league. we shall see though. the last time we had a great d was the johnson/flutie years. that just wasnt pretty to watch…
June 6th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Rob Johnson, lmao. that guy was a total bum
The bills haven’t been the same since the Music City Miracle
