Marissa Miller’s Bizarre College Hoops Connection
Athletes and Celebrities, College Basketball, Movies June 19th. 2008, 11:47am
Gary Parrish of CBS Sports unearths it: Prized basketball recruit Emmanuel Negedu de-committed to Arizona recently, and yesterday announced that he’d be attending Tennessee. He made that announcement from Barbie’s Marissa Miller’s house.
[Marissa Miller's husband] decided to invite Emmanuel to California to film some stuff and make his announcement from there. So that’s what’s been going on this week. While you are living whatever life you live, Emmanuel Negedu is kicking it in Santa Cruz with a Hollywood producer and a supermodel (who happened to top Maxim’s Hot 100 list this year, case you didn’t know), and it’s times like these when I really wish I was Emmanuel Negedu.
The whereabouts of noted ladies man Bruce Pearl are unknown.

There’s a recruiting violation in here somewhere. I think we should start by looking in Marissa Miller’s pants.
June 19th, 2008 at 11:53 am
That’s a good place to begin any search.
For anything.
Including my sanity.
June 19th, 2008 at 11:57 am
Hell yeah. That’s what I’m talking about. Maybe Marissa will be on the sidelines with Bruce this year.
June 19th, 2008 at 11:58 am
i don’t get it. is her husband a coach at UT or a scout or something?
June 19th, 2008 at 11:58 am
i hope marissa will pull a bruce pearl, paint her chest orange, and show up in the students section. i just hope someone will get video before she is gang raped.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
UT got Negedu over Memphis and he may bring along a hottie!? Great get.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
UT still sucks.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
Work, work, work. Work, work, work. Work, work, work. Hello boys, have a good night’s rest? I missed you.
Name that movie
June 19th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
Blah blah blah Melissa Miller’s boobs blah blah blah.
That’s all I got out of this post.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
speaking of that August, don’t we have a bet to make terms for?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
sportsgal, you around?? i left you a comment in yardwork for running your mouth =]
June 19th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
that’s right… what was that bet over… points on the Georgia game or something?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
she’s easy on the eyes. and the peen.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
please, blazin saddles…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
the bet was over who will lose to UGA by more this fall. I’ve got UT, you’ve got snobby douchebugs, er, Vandy.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
miz: You are betting that UT will lose to UGA? wtf?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
I am Sean Jean. It’s some reverse psychology. I’m hoping that if I bet against them, they’ll actually win. God forbid UT beats UGA two years in a row.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
hmmmm. Winner picks the name and gravatar for the loser over the next month. That work for you, or do you have something better?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Never bet on your favorite team miz. Rule 1.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
I am questioning your fanhood.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
what if both Vandy and UT beat UGA tho? is it who won by less? or who won by more?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
Just saw it Cortes, but I wasn’t the one that called you 5 years old. That was your buddy, Roman.
And I wouldn’t say losing to a good team by 1 run is exactly an ass kicking.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
sounds fine to me. although, if I lose, I guess that means I have to figure out how to actually upload a gravatar. I’ve already got a great name picked out for you and I think i could pick a nive gravatar to go along with it.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
What inspiring cleavage, time for an arrogant walk around Midtown.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
Can’t you bet on the number of Tennessee football players arrested or something cool like that?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
sportsgal116 Says:
Was Cortes even born in 2003?
but you did say THAT! so i don’t take back anything i said lol. and no, both games were close. i went to the tuesday game, good crowds. though the cubs fans HATE when people chant 1908! lol
June 19th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
it’s who loses by more to UGA. So, for Sean Jean, I’m not really betting for or against my team. And for spencer, re-read your rediculous question and you will answer yourself. Vandy can’t beat anyone in the SEC East other than the occassional win over Kentucky.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
@ spencer, yes. basically we’ll just take it by best point differential… that sound right to you mizerle?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
watch it Appalichia jack… Vandy’s coming strong this year
/adjusts pocket protector
June 19th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
that’s on over/under bet, clown. I think Vegas has it at 7.5 so somebody’s obvioulsy not doing their homework. I’m taking the over with confidence.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
They probably hate it worse when it comes from fans of a team that has never finished out of last place.
Saw some Tampa guys at an O’s game with shirts that read, 75 wins and counting, laughed my ass off.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
No, but you are betting that UT will lose, which is actually even worse. You are assuming they lose. Ack. I can’t take this!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
still one more team than OSU could beat.
/sad but true
June 19th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
Being as objective as possible, I really think Vandy might be closer. Vandy almost ALWAYS plays UGA well, and UGA and UT swap ass-kickings every year these days…I don’t care. If we win both by 1, I’ll be happy.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
sounds good to me, August
/adjusts fake teeth and prepares for lunchtime trip to outhouse
June 19th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
i can’t believe i dumped her. but hey, when you’ve got a chance to date Meghan Fox, you can’t pass that up.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
if you can get to it, bryant park. thank me later.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Well, to be fair, we have ass-whipped UGA the past 2 years…..
June 19th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
it’s all in good fun, Sean Jean. By the time july rolls around, I’ll be saying UT will go undefeated and win the NC. By the way, do you keep up with the Rocky Top League?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Vandy almost ALWAYS plays UGA well
That’s what I’m banking on… UT and Georgia can’t get within 30 points of each other it seems like. We playing you guys on homecoming again this year? That was pretty fun 2 years ago…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Will you be there flexing?
/clown’d!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
miz: Yep sure do. I heard about Chism last night. Doh!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
I don’t know if it’s homecoming or not but I do have a feeling “Remember 2005″ will be the battle cry for Vandy fans for at least another 22 straight years.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
I know its like 75 days until NFL starts, how many is it for college football, less or more?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Yeah, August, it’s homecoming. I’m already scared. Of course, I’m the most pessimistic UGA fan you’ll find. I think we’ll probably lose to Georgia Southern.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
/ShakeShacked
June 19th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
funny enough, i just came from Bryant Park. it’s not hot enough today. go there when it hits 80. then you’ll thank me.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
if there’s any Wisconsin fans here, lets make a bet to see who will beat Michigan by more.
/muck fichigan
June 19th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
That’s not as crazy as you might think Atlanta, Michigan proved last year anything is possible.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
@Sean Jean: What’s the deal with him? I heard the got on his butt a little and he sulked his way out of the gym. Hopson, Maze, West, and of course Tyler Smith are all supposed to be looking great. Have you been to watch them play this summer or last?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
antonio henton is transferring there because of Terrelle Pryor. youll lose by 40.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Nah I’m not in Knoxville so I am not seeing the games. Just reading the recaps and what I hear from friends and the radio. I’ve heard the same thing about Maze, Hopson, and Tyler. I heard Chism just wasn’t playing hard or taking it serious, and Dane Bradshaw got on his ass and he didn’t take kindly to it and sulked and eventually left the game late in the 2nd half. Not very good, but it’s just a pickup game. I’m expecting big things from Chism this year.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
we’re knocking the wolverines? fantastic, muck fichigan!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
/Atlantified
True story: a friend from a smaller town in Georgia was coming to visit. We wanted to go running somewhere, so we headed to Piedmont Park. On the way, I was telling him how I hated that Atlanta had this reputation of being nothing but gays and blacks, because it couldn’t be more inaccurate (and let me slap a big ol’ NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT on both of those). We get to Piedmont Park, and, I swear to god, they were having an African-American Gay Pride festival. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
as shitty as michigan will be this year, they’ll still beat PSU.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
@ mizerle06: nope, this year is all about revenge for stomping the V after last year’s debacle of an ending. That was not looked upon very kindly by all 15 of us passionate Vandy fans… no kindly at all.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
What’s the difference between the Big House and a cactus?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
didn’t skip bayless go to Vandy? the shame.
/but buster olney went there too, so it’s gravy.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
@August - you really think UGA was stomping on the V? Seemed to me like the players were just celebrating where the kicker was standing, which happened to be close to the V. He had just kicked the winning field goal.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
The cactus has its pricks on the outside…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
the cactus has pricks on the outside?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
how many batteries does it take to kill a wolverine?
just 1AA
June 19th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
@Sean Jean: I don’t live in K-town anymore, but I went to several last summer when i was still there. They play in Bearden’s gym with no AC and it’s freakin’ hot but extremely entertaining. It is pretty much pickup basketball but you can tell their using it to work on parts of their game. It’s also fun to watch some of the former players like Slay, Higgins, and Tony White.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
@ATL: yeah I was there and they were stomping it… Mark Richt freaked out over it too. I gained a huge amount of respect for him after that. Fulmer and Spurrier would’ve just let their guys do it
June 19th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
What do you call a good looking girl on the University of Michigan campus?
A visitor.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
miz: Yeah it sounds like a blast, and it’s great how popular it has become. Just another reason to praise Mr. Pearl. If I’m in town any time soon I’ll try and check out a game, but I don’t think I will be.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
btw, Just listened to an interview of Emmanuel. Sounds like a really bright and interesting dude.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
how do you make UM cookies? put em in a big bowl and beat em for 3 hours.
/this could go on for awhile.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
didn’t skip bayless go to Vandy?
Yes… Vandy has it’s share of douchebags at any given moment, but so does every college, in my experience…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
I think, as greasy as the coaching profession has gotten these days, that Richt really is a good dude. Of course there’s some homerism there, but from everything I’ve heard, seen and read on him, he seems genuine. I sure hope so.
I still don’t think they were stomping on the V though. If it happened at Carolina, a school that talks much shit to Ga, then yeah, maybe there. But it’s not like Vandy is a contentious rivalry or anything, or like there was any animosity in that game last year leading up to that point.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
I have a lot of friends who went to Vandy. I spent some drunk nights there and went to the Munchie Mart. Isn’t that the name of the little snack thing? And I remember the Vandy newspaper having an odd name too.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Richt may be a good dude, but man is he easily hatable from an opposing team point of view. Such a smug guy. Plus he is from FSU, so as a Miami fan as well, uggggg.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
@Sean Jean: It’s funny to read the News Sentinel during football offseason now, especially with the Rocky Top league, because there will be 3 articles about basketball and 1 about football.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
So Spence, if I go to Michigan for law school are we no longer friends?
June 19th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
spence,
so true. unfortunately for a Spartan, cannot tell the football jokes like OSU fans.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
But it’s not like Vandy is a contentious rivalry or anything, or like there was any animosity in that game last year leading up to that point.
It came of like payback for the homecoming upset the year before… you could be right, but that wouldn’t be nearly as fun!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
@Sean John - oh, I’m sure…I’d hate him too if I was a fan of a rival school. But the FSU thing? I don’t get that. He played QB at Miami…I think they cancel each other out.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Marisa Miller is so fine
June 19th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Mock me if you will, but I’m flipping through channels and see a dynamite brunette on this show … and then comes kelly ripa and the cute girl from murphy brown. the brunette is unreal.
i look up the show … IT’S MEGAN FOX!!!!!!!!!!!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
UT has some major fucktards every saturday in the stadium. We got our football season tickets and requested seats not near the student section.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
na, you kidding me? UM is a pimp school, sure their athletic programs are filled with nothing but meat flaps, but the school itself kicks ass. gotta give credit where credit is due.
tho, if you put on the winged helmet, id air mail some ebola.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
@August - you’re right…I take it back. We were stomping on your logo!! HA HA!! Take that, you, you…Vanderbilt students/alumni!!
I suck at talking shit…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
miz: Yeah I know. It’s very odd. It’s great though. It’s not all or nothing with football like it used to be.
atl: True, he was a QB at Miami, but that was before my time. I just remember him as the FSU OC and now the UGA head coach.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
even though a lot of text books there have been written by MSU professors…
June 19th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
sparty…yea, but for the next couple years, UM will be one big punchline with no words necessary.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Spence after that nice reply I was going to spare my joke but, the hell with it..
What do an OSU and a Michigan student have in common?
They both applied to Michigan.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
and all their best players (except for braylon) are from Ohio.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
fetch…funny.
what does weed and Michigan have in common? both are smoked in bowls.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Why is ice no longer available at Ohio State football games?
Because the senior who knew the recipe finally graduated
June 19th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
lol. This is funny guys!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
Great banter. I can’t wait until college football starts!
June 19th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
how do you stop a wolverine from getting in your yard? put up a goalpost and paint roses on the grass beneath it.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
Why do Ohio State fans keep their diplomas on their dashboards?
So they can park in handicap spaces.
PS I’m a Kansas fan so really no jokes are necessary. I’m happy with one double digit win season, they can go back to sucking.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
why did UM swith to turf? to keep the cheerleaders from grazing.
Kansas has MANGINO!!! that’s enough comedy for everyone.
June 19th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Amen to that. He’s the real Mangenius though, Jets fans be damned.
