Good morning friends and enemies. You may know me by the ridiculous, made-up name, “Cousins of Ron Mexico.” You can cal me CRM if you like. Feel free to send me e-mails (preferably containing sports links) at alumnigonzo@gmail.com.
Now, I don’t want to say that you should be hanging out here all day, but please keep in mind that sunlight has been linked to sunburn. You don’t want to deal with sunburn do you? Aloe is awfully expensive…
Personal note: I saw Get Smart last night. Anybody want a movie post later? (I kid, I kid.) Not surprisingly, Anne Hathaway looked damn good in the film.
Oh – this pretty lady over here is Ariadne Artiles. She’s currently on the cover of the Spanish version of Elle magazine – Or “El Elle,” if you will.
How some famous Italians in and around “The City” really feel about the Knicks’ new addition. (What Would Oakley Do?)
Are you a lonely race fan who wants to get closer to the action? Then you’ll want a ButtKicker. (FAN IQ)
Did the Celtics get a steal with Bill Walker? (Josh Q. Public)
The best overall collegiate athletics program for 2007-2008 is… Stanford! (NACDA)
Protesting a canceled flight. (Yahoo!)
Some less-famous sports conspiracies. (Pyle of List)
If the NHL’s draft was more like the NBA’s draft. (Melt Your Face Off)

Bonnie Bernstein knows people don’t want to talk about the similarities between suicide bombers and talented basketball players. (Fan House)
The Ravens are thinking about using actual ravens as mascots? (Deuce of Davenport)
So, the Dodgers’ front office sucks? Is that what you’re trying to tell me? (LA Times)

I once played on a gus macker team named Ron Mexico. Did you sponsor us? Somebody had to pay for all of that. Still got the shirt. (side note: I live about 45 minutes from where Vick is being housed)

I don’t know what a “gus macker” is and I’m fairly certain I’ve never given any money to that thing you just said.

3 on 3 outdoors basketball tournaments that take place throughout the nation. No refs, call your own fouls bullshit. Gets pretty physical.

I saw “Wanted” last night. The only thing it made me want was my $9 back.

I didn’t have much hope for that movie.
Although Bucket List is a surpriser. Didn’t want to watch it and then loved it.

Is Get Smart worth the money CRM? The wife and I are fans of Carell and Hathaway, so we have somewhat high hopes for the film.

It’s worth the trip to your local theater.

Read Mark Millar’s graphic novel “Wanted.” It is nothing like the movie. The whole time reading it I was like “How are they going to make a movie out of this?” It turns out they didn’t.

Although that piece on Bill Walker isn’t very convincing at all, as a Wiz fan I was extremely disappointed when they traded him to the Celts for fucking cash. I think the kid can really play, and he can play defense which the Wiz desperately need. I assume no one is making any noise about this because of his knee issues…?

also saw get smart.. decent movie.. seeing hathaway put it over the top though, chick is hot

@ cellaneous – zing!
@ Size Queen – I wish the Wiz wouldn’t have traded Walker to the Celtics, too, because I like Walker and hate the Celtics. That being said, watching K-State hoops all season, Walker was not a lock-down defender like many experts laud him to be. In many instances, he was lazy on d. Maybe he can develop in the NBA. He seems to have rededicated himself. Good luck to him.
