Olbermann, Patrick Together Again: Pair Will Co-Host NBC’s Football Night in America
Media Gossip/Musings July 7th. 2008, 2:56pm
NBC sent the press release wide: This fall, NBC’s Sunday night football show will be co-hosted by former Sportscenter buddies Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick. That’s quite a motley crew NBC has assembled for when it gangbangs highlights at day’s end: Costas and Collinsworth, Bettis and Barber, and Brett Favre’s buddy, Peter King.
On paper, this is a formidable group, but the minute they break out the stopwatch and do First Take-like debates at 30 seconds a pop, we’re flipping over to 60 Minutes.

So now they have seven guys for what amounts to a pre-game highlight show?
Why not make it eight?

What the hell!?! Did Billy Wagner have a rough night last night?

Im pumped, Being gangbanged on a sunday with Olbermann/Patrick could only be eclipsed by an eiffel tower from Kane and Undertaker………. Is there anyway to get rid of Collinsworth?

I’m pretty sure you mentioned this a couple of months ago. I’ll just check the monthly archives.
Oh shit.

So everyone gets 5min to speak?

NBC underestimates just how much people despise this colossal douche. Much as I love the NFL, I will go to great lengths to avoid Keith Olbermann. Bad move…

We need to light a fire under this site. It’s been too slow of a sports news day.
LeBron > Kobe
Constitution > Liberals
America > You

NFL Blitz during Sportscenter is 10 million times better than NBC’s gay highlights show. Besides that 715-815 break is when I can actually do productive things in my life on a Sunday.

LeBron > Kobe

July 7th, 2008 at 3:27 pm

NFL Primetime >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Football Night in America

Last year on Football Night in America, there was so much ego and pompous primping that my tv and cable boxed threatened to only show Lifetime.

i thought costas/olbermanm worked quite well. what’s not broken…
often reunion attempts fall flat. then again i’ve never been a fan of dan patrick and have always been a very big fan of costas; his whacky virews of blogs aside.

Keith Olbermann, Daily Kos contributor.
No wonder moonbats love him.

Does it look like Olbermann is wearnig a Member’s Only in that picture??
No. That’s rather obviously a blazer…
NBC underestimates just how much people despise this colossal douche.
Perhaps… or maybe you overestimate how much time the average football fan spends watching and forming serious opinions about cable news shows?

Id to Mike, NYC.
Sportsgal, most rational Dems want no part of him. Not liking him doesn’t make you a d-bag conservative. It makes you normal and pro-American.

01/01/09 will be an epic day for hockey fans in Chicago!
July 7th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
As long as they stick to sports and avoid politics, then it is a good thing.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Nice. Now if only Dan and Dibbs could reunite for next year’s baseball season, the world will be right again.

lacey underall…great name.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
Well said.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
I don’t mind Patrick or Olbermann, but come on…who else will we have on that damn set? Cousin Sal? Jill Barberie? Bozo the Clown? Jenn Sterger?
July 7th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
I’m still trying to figure out why the NHL insists on going head-to-head against college football and massive NYE hangovers.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Disagree.
Agree.
Agree.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Not unless Bozo is making a posthumous appearance.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Just so everyone knows… my 3 inequalities were all generic things to get everyone with “the Mondays” fired up. I don’t necessarily agree with all 3 of them.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Keith Olbermann could have the exact same political agenda as Ann Coulter and it wouldn’t stop me from watching a FOOTBALL HIGHLIGHT SHOW. This is sports, not politics.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
@gimmeabeerman: that’s fine, but there are bulletin boards for that kind of talk. Didn’t you get the memo?
July 7th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
very cool unless they suck… informative analysis right there

Spencer096–
Thank you very little

Lacey and Spencer096:
Thank you very little
You’re welcome even less! - lol
In terms of Dipshit Danny and Cantankerous Keith:
O-VER-RA-TED!!!
I can’t STAND these guys, especially Olbermann. Hey Dick Ebersol, I think there must be one former player or sports announcer who doesn’t have a gig for next year. Why don’t you add him to the 76 other idiots you’re gonna have on this shitfest.
July 8th, 2008 at 12:11 am
People who read sports blogs for sports>People who try to mix politics into sports blogs
Fuck. Off.
July 8th, 2008 at 12:47 am
Can we get Bob Costas propped up on a high chair to mediate between them?
