Chris Berman: NutriSystem Pitchman?

From the mailbag. Anyone see the Home Run Derby or attend the ESPYs who can confirm Senor Berman’s alleged weight loss?
[Wednesday] on The Morning Sports Page on 660 AM (WFNZ Charlotte), the hosts were talking about Berman at the Home Run Derby and noted that he appeared to have lost weight. Show host Gary Williams mentioned that he has heard that Berman will soon be announced as a pitchman for NutriSystem and is in the middle of his weight-loss plan with the company.
Two other moderately prominent NutriSystem spokespeople: Mike Golic (who, in unrelated news, bolted early and unexplained [UPDATE: No mystery: apparently, he had a family situation to tend to.] from the Mike & Mike show this morning) and imminently cute Danielle Fishel (Topanga from Boy Meets World). We eagerly await confirmation.

It is one thing to say, “eat all of the asparagus or you dont get to watch the All-Star game”, as opposed to “eat all of the fries because I paid for them, you think we made of money.”

YYSA, heard about that on the radio. Thing I don’t get is the blade was 7″, so wouldn’t they have cut into it when cutting his sandwich down the middle? Subway always cuts the sandwich in half.

Exactly. Kids are pushed to finish their plates when it’s usually a completely arbitrary amount on there; just eat until you start to get full (never ’stuffed’ or uncomfortably full), then stop… that will lead to smaller portions at each meal.
Combine that with some fruits, veggies and exercise and you’re good to go.

I was late to the Wire so I bought the first 4 seasons and watched them. Season 5 needs to come out on DVD soon! If it is as good as any of the first 4 then yes 1 emmy nod is bullshit.

Re: Golic leaving the show… I think something happened because you could hear the tension/concern in Greenie’s voice when he was first saying how Golic had to leave. I also thought it was interesting that Jake and not Mrs. Golic accompanied Mike to the White House.
