Sizing up Reggie Bush’s Fantasy Football Prospects
Fantasy Sports, NFL July 21st. 2008, 4:15pm
Started doing some fantasy football homework this weekend, because you can never be prepared too early. Thumbed through ESPN the Magazine and were floored to see Reggie Bush of the Saints going, on average, in the third round, 32nd overall (19th among RBs).
Is it the easy Saints schedule? The return of Deuce McAllister? Today’s big trade for Jeremy Shockey (which we’ll address in further detail tomorrow)? You know how much we sweated Bush during his rookie campaign … but there’s no way on earth we’re drafting Bush over Edge James, Julius Jones, Rudi Johnson, Fred Taylor or rookie Darren McFadden.
Not that it matters, but we’d like to mention the celebrity girlfriend hex.

Reggie Bush will continue to suck because he is not a great NFL player. Nothing will ever change that.

I had Reggie last year…still won, but I won’t be drafting him again earlier than the 4th round.

BILLY!!!!!!!!

Just looking at ESPN’s RB list… there’s no way I’d take Larry Johnson at the 10 spot. I think he’s going to be a bust just like he was last year.

I heartily encourage my FF opponents to take Reggie Bush early.

Sportgal – Good thinking. Behind that O Line + Bad Attitude + Hating Kansas City + Too many carries = Mid October will be the end of his season.

He is a 3rd down back and kick returner, yet the Saints haven’t figured that out yet, once they do, he can begin to make an impact.
Not a 2nd pick of the draft impact, but and impact.

Rudi Johnson? TBL, can I play in a money league with you this year?
July 21st, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Rudi’s fantasy days are done too, same with Edge.
July 21st, 2008 at 4:50 pm
you should draft bush no sooner than your 3rd rb.

Man, I had Reggie Bush on my fantasy team the last two years, and he let me down, time and time again. He will tease fantasy teams like Corey Dillon did back in the day…
July 21st, 2008 at 4:53 pm
clock killin’ corey dillon? he was the shit back in 1999.
July 21st, 2008 at 4:55 pm
In my league you get 1pt per reception so his rookie season wasn’t that bad 88 recept 9 total TDs. but most leagues aren’t that way so he was a flop

I had two fantasy teams last year Reggie was in ine team and I had Deuce on the other both were my number 2 running backs so they didn’t cost me too much.

spence, did you see that michelle wie is going to play in the Reno-Tahoe Open? 8 more steps back for women competing in mens sports…

Kim Kardashian’s dad represented OJ right? And Bush is fun player to watch, but not worth drafting.

I looooooooooove The Soup, one of the funniest shows on TV and most of it, is improv. I bet Bush and the Tush have crazy nasty sex.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:14 pm
The Soup would be better without the fake laughing production people in the background.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:45 pm
The Soup?
I just lost respect for you all. However, my super sweet 16….NOW THAT’S A SHOW PEOPLE!

I had reggie bush last season, he sucks. I know from experience dudes.
July 22nd, 2008 at 12:41 am
It depends on what round you take him and if your league rewards points for receptions. Obviously if your league gives reception points, he’s worth having as a #2 or #3 back.
I just don’t know if I’d take him though…this seems like a make or break year for him in terms of potential.

Is that Kim. If so she lost mad weight. Yea Reggie sux now but he balled his balls off at USC. I still cant forgive Pete Carroll for giving the ball to Lindale White on 4th down.
