They’re just taunting you.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:07 am
Fuck China. I hope athletes overwhelm with protesting.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:09 am
Olivia Wilde…better known to the House fans as 13, very nice.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:09 am
Can someone explain how China can keep other countries athletes from speaking out against all of the issues gonig on? Can you really boot another countries athlete for calling out the host country for things that are clearly true.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:11 am
@sandibalz – My house – my rules.
Or some similar mentality
July 24th, 2008 at 8:13 am
i believe they made all athletes sign something prior to the Olympics. I think the greater question is why the hell they are hosting in the first place.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:17 am
ok…so fuck china. Why aren’t we boycotting like germany. This is kind of a joke right? Are the things that china are doing that much different then back then. I would think it would be even more unacceptable now. And, if you’re an athlete in the US who qualifies and decides not to sign, you should still be allowed to go? The US dumping athletes because they refuse to be quiet would be even worse right?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:17 am
because members of IOC thought China would straighten themselves out if given the task of hosting the event. they thought it would make China more democratic. How this was suppose to happen in only 7 years is beyond me…
July 24th, 2008 at 8:19 am
@tbl – my cell plan is with sprint, use an htc mogul, internet speed is as good as any broadband. But, internet pages seem to give problems with some pics and vids. Use IE and Opera Mini. What does the Iphone use for a browser, you have problems also?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:22 am
Ki-Jana Carter anyone?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:22 am
iphone = safari. it seems quick.
but iphone is also AT&T, i believe. really dig the iphone so far.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:25 am
Wait – Germany is boycotting? I thought the “boycott” was just a few of the European leaders electing not to travel to China for the games.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:27 am
ESPN’s server was crippled because it was jealous..this morning around 630 ESPN news was showing Erin Andrews talking to Billy Wagner. I figured you guys would get a kick out of that..
July 24th, 2008 at 8:28 am
She looks a little different with out the tattoo of the butterfly on her arm and the purple hair.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:31 am
@roeth – meant as in the boycott many years ago, I believe it was the olympics held in germany. too lazy to check.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:31 am
GG – I think most guys are over Andrews now. She had her moments – like Kim K – and now, everyone’s sort of burnt out.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:32 am
NOT THAT I WAS SPEAKING FOR THE ENTIRE INTERNET/BLOGOSPHERE/COMMENTERS!
/lol
July 24th, 2008 at 8:33 am
Good recover tbl
July 24th, 2008 at 8:34 am
TBL you were scaring me a little…
July 24th, 2008 at 8:34 am
Hey Wilson, good luck today seeing as how my Rays suck on the road..
July 24th, 2008 at 8:35 am
thought i was going to have to write a long post on my blog that not many people read and tear you a new one. how dare you speak for me.
/sarcasm
July 24th, 2008 at 8:37 am
Well, we finally got a hit in the 7th yesterday so that’s a good sign for ya. Were playing (insert joke here) horribly right now. You know when you turn on the tv to watch the game they are going to be down. No offense. The Rays crushed us last series in Tampa.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:38 am
My flame is still burning for EA.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:40 am
ya im not over EA she looked great last night
July 24th, 2008 at 8:42 am
I really though shuck and jive was equivalent to bob and weave. Apparently so did JT.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:43 am
We will win gold
/LeBronze
July 24th, 2008 at 8:46 am
Man I can’t wait till’ football season. I’m getting bored with losing. And just so everybody knows, this avatar won’t be changing to a chiefs logo…
July 24th, 2008 at 8:47 am
With this chick being in the press so much recently, how stupid/arrogant was that fucking guy that he dallied about in Manhatten and thought his wife would NOT find out about it?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:52 am
Why do you doubt him?
Very
July 24th, 2008 at 8:53 am
Quit your bitching U.S. just go there, be positive and then come home. Is it that hard to let another country deal with it’s own issues?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:56 am
Mags i agree with you at this point now. just handle your business.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:01 am
the last time we boycotted the Olympics was the Moscow Olympics in 1980.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:03 am
Why do you doubt him?
James was on third-place teams in the ‘04 games and the ‘06 world championships. The Americans haven’t won a major title since the 2000 Olympics. Trust me, i think we will win gold. We are carried by Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Jason Kidd, Carmelo and so on. I just dont think it will come easy. I am very excited for the warm up match on friday night against Canada.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Does anyone BELIEVE the Edwards rumor? The woman pictured in that Enquirer piece is a serious downgrade from his wife, and dude still has a political future (rumored AG candidate)…won’t this at least get batted down as he lawyers up?
July 24th, 2008 at 9:10 am
@Irish
Funny how there were 12 guys on both the 04 and 06 teams but its LBJ’s fault in your eyes. I would call it the fault of lack of almost everything in 04 and lack of chemistry in 06.
With or without a couple of stars, this team is much better now. Practicing together makes them a team. If Melo or Kobe or LBJ weren’t there, they would STILL be that good. Better PG play and better understanding of the international game also helps.
Howard is nice, but your woody for DHo blinds you sometimes…
July 24th, 2008 at 9:11 am
rockabye: if it’s in the Enquirer, I take it as gospel.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:12 am
I still never blamed Lebron for losing. I was just pointing out what he has been apart of in international play.
Kobe > Lebron
July 24th, 2008 at 9:14 am
You know how I know you’re gay? You’re ‘burnt out’ on Erin Andrews.
Spitzer’s hot hooker is caught spending time with a rich dude who naturally is married
Would she just go ahead and do porn already? I mean, isn’t that all that’s left?
July 24th, 2008 at 9:16 am
@clown: Somewhere, someone wrote that most of the breaks in the OJ case were Enquirer stories. And I wouldn’t be all that surprised if Edwards had a mistress…but this really needs to stay in the background if he’s to be politically viable in an Obama administration.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:21 am
irish…wasnt Dwight also on that 3rd place 2006 team?
July 24th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I’m buying on the Edwards rumors if for no other reason than he’s won an election. Every politician you can imagine, and I mean every last one of them regardless of party affiliation, has gotten some lovin’ on the side… it just sucks that his wife is such an admirable person who could do more good than he ever imagined if she was healthy enough to run for Congress.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:23 am
@spencer- sure was
July 24th, 2008 at 9:24 am
I was really hoping that quote had to do with the ATHF episode when Master Shake was on trial by a jury of trees.
“We’re flash frying this mother!”
July 24th, 2008 at 9:25 am
so then dwight was equally responsible.
your lebron bashing is so ridiculous…do you only do it to get under the cleveland people’s skin? you must.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:28 am
your lebron bashing is so ridiculous
and people who think he is the greatest player need to wake the fuck up
July 24th, 2008 at 9:30 am
you have no frame of reference here, Irish. You’re like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie…
July 24th, 2008 at 9:32 am
You’re like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie…
you stole that line for pubic hair wig guy. Kobe all day
July 24th, 2008 at 9:32 am
13 is hot.
House > any other medical drama on t.v
July 24th, 2008 at 9:33 am
try explaining that to the judge.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:33 am
LF: Saw TDK last night, finally. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen that wasn’t an Oscar-bait type movie.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:34 am
you have no frame of reference here, Irish. You’re like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie…
Shut the fuck up Donnie.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:34 am
hey, im all for lebron criticizing as long as there’s something other than “he was on a 3rd place world champ team and he’s solely responsible but that same group of players minus lebron will obviously win gold.”
July 24th, 2008 at 9:35 am
And on the Olivia Wilde tip: clearly NSFW video of her nude scene in Alpha Dog. She’s a favorite of mine, too.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:36 am
@spencer – you’re trying to coax logic from someone who personifies the illogical in almost every sense. your attempts are futile and striving after the wind.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:38 am
i refuse to give up…im like a terrier.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:39 am
he’s solely responsible
i never said he was “solely” responsible. Do you even read the comments before you jump? Lebron averaged 5 points per game last Olympics. Did you know that. The prediction he made would be more credible if it came from Jason Kidd. He has yet to lose a game in international play.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:40 am
you gotta read that story, man. it’s some seriously great detail.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:40 am
you’re trying to coax logic from someone who personifies the illogical in almost every sense. your attempts are futile and striving after the wind.
i love it how you MLJ guys jump on in
July 24th, 2008 at 9:41 am
did you know larry brown coached the last olympics in 2004 and refused to play LBJ, Carmelo or D-Wade despite the fact they were clearly the most effective players in the limited time they got? aw…snap.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:41 am
how am I an MLJ guy? seriously, irish; explain it to me.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Wasn’t 2004 the Larry ‘I hate young people’ Brown team, and didn’t he basically bench LeBron and Carmelo so much that everybody complained?
I’m seriously asking because there’s been a lot of booze and… stuff between then and now.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:43 am
August –
Sure was.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:45 am
why would a coach bench the games greatest player? lol probably because he was inmature and couldnt handle international play
Kobe Bryant was murdering international play at 13
July 24th, 2008 at 9:46 am
Couple of boxscores from those Olympics.
More here.

re: LeBron’s playing time in the 2004 Olypmics:
Limited to 14.6 minutes per game, James averaged just 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
From LeBron’s Wikipedia page, so you know it’s science.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:46 am
I have a couple links awaiting moderation. In the two games I found boxscores for, Lebron and Melo played 7,7,7, and 2 minutes.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:46 am
@TBL: I did. And, yeah, even Enquirer reporters would be hard-pressed to make up that kind of detail. But I find it a little hard to believe that this comes out now and not during his presidential campaign.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Kobe was murdering international play at 13?
Kobe was nailing international chicks that were 13?
/fixed?
July 24th, 2008 at 9:48 am
why would a coach bench the games greatest player?
That’s what everyone else said, and that’s a big reason why Brown was promptly fired after the loss.
Kobe Bryant was murdering international play at 13
Not in the Olympics he wasn’t…
July 24th, 2008 at 9:48 am
TBL is over Erin Andrews? That’s ghayer than Michael Strahan.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:48 am
@TBL -
If it were ANY rag but the Enquirer, I would believe it based on the detail. However, the Enquirer deserves the disbelief based on the years and years of blatantly false “reporting”. Its tough for me to believe that they actually started doing real journalism.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:49 am
@irish – still waiting. please let me know so I can get on the payroll.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:49 am
Yea if I remember correctly Brown played Iverson and Marbury alot of minutes in those games. With Shawn Marion and Richard Jefferson getting all of LeBron and Melo’s minutes.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:53 am
This story is sad, and i have to take back some of my previous thoughts on how much i enjoy San Fran.
This ’sanctuary city’ stuff is bullshit.
I’m not a republican, but I’m all for booting illegals.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:54 am
Lebron wasn’t the game’s greatest player in 2004. He was a 19 year old kid. Tim Duncan was the game’s greatest player still in ‘04, and oh yeah, he was on that team too…and played huge minutes. And they lost.
Yet it’s always Lebron’s fault.
Today, in 2008, Lebron is unequivocally the world’s best.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:54 am
I’m all for what Andy and Doug do on Weeds.
\Not really, but it’s pretty fucking funny
July 24th, 2008 at 9:55 am
I saw Dark Knight on Tuesday night at IMAX. Favorite movie experience of all time.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:57 am
John Edwards is the world’s biggest douchebag, so of course it does not surprise me that he would cheat on his wife of 25 years that has incurable cancer (she’ll probably live 20 more years, but it has spread to bone, so she’s stage 4 automatically).
And no way in bloody hell would he ever be confirmed as AG…not a chance.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:58 am
Today, in 2008, Lebron is unequivocally the world’s best.
stupid mfer
July 24th, 2008 at 9:58 am
TBL- Heard Howard Stern talking about Ashley Dupree on the way in today and I just knew you would have the pics waiting for me when I logged on….thanks bro……keep ‘em coming as I am so “taken” by this chick and her lifestyle….I think she is bad as F and for some reason I can’t turn away from her story
July 24th, 2008 at 9:59 am
Guys, I’m sorry. But I’m officially off San Fran. I love the weather, i had a kick-ass time there once, and i enjoy the water. But this Sanctuary City shit is absolute garbage. Did anyone look at the links on the above link?
Basically, illegals can go there and get away with anything. Unreal. Sorry San Fran, you’re on my shit list.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:02 am
San Franciscans make East Coast liberals look right handed… That story is awful.
When did the admittance of blatant illegals become so commonplace that the entire country yawned?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:03 am
TBL – who else is on your shit list?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:03 am
seriously, wally. how disturbing is it?
i’m ashamed to say that i used to think it wasn’t a big deal that illegals were here. What’s obama’s stance on illegals?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Personal attack! Personal attack!
July 24th, 2008 at 10:04 am
San Francisco is nice city, but it’s run and largely populated by people who fail at life in almost any other city.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:04 am
I looked at it, TBL. it’s very sad. I also find it rediculous that there aren’t federally mandated immigration requirements that prevent devil’s advocate communities (like San Fran) from making their own rules and becoming a sanctuary city.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:04 am
I don’t even have one. What’s the point of hating? Takes to much energy to really hate someone.
I’m upset with San Fran right now, though.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:06 am
San Francisco find thats ghay.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:06 am
TBL I read the main story and it does seem like the city dropped the ball big time. But, as a SF 49ers fan I can only put city officials, crazy ass illegal immigrants and criminals on my shit list and not the whole city.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:07 am
@NickP – you should feel honored. I was labeled a “stupid mfer” by irish last week, and, I’ll have to say it was a turning point in my commenting life. I felt like I had arrived. however, now I can’t get irish to answer a simple question so i guess I’ve departed.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:07 am
This shit wouldn’t be an issue if congress would get off their high horses and just pass a guest worker program. San Fran officials are absurdly stupid and naive, but they wouldn’t have to be if Congress would just act. That’s why I like McCain so much, because he almost committed political suicide supporting the guest worker program…still won’t vote for him, but I certainly give him much more respect that any other politician.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:07 am
Best solution to immigration: big ass wall with a big ole’ door… I don’t want to keep out 99% of people, but we have to have an accounting/tracking of who is coming and going.
Of course I mean this for our Northern border.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:08 am
jb -
So that leaves the gay population and you (mutually exclusive?) not included.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:09 am
I like the 49ers, I completely distance myself from the city
July 24th, 2008 at 10:11 am
man. mizele, i bet you you cant go once month w/o saying my name on here. Have you met Big Nuts? maybe you guys should meet. He loves me too. Maybe you could start a blog w/ him and call it ” We Love Irish cock in our mouth”.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:12 am
Shit List: San Fran, France
July 24th, 2008 at 10:12 am
@Irish-
You having a sportgal Friday? That type of anger is usually reserved for her.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:14 am
wally, thursdays are my bad day. Sportsgal can have Fridays
July 24th, 2008 at 10:15 am
@#$%. Thought it WAS Friday. That is a rude awakening at 10:15.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:16 am
@ Wally I dont leave in San Fran and I didn’t want to offend any gays that may frequent TBL.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:19 am
any gay readers would have been offended a long time ago
July 24th, 2008 at 10:21 am
I hate myself for getting into this but…
At the same age Lebron>Kobe
Right now? Kobe>Lebron
Kobe plays much better defense, has an actual mid-range shot and is a lot better at the free throw line. And as far as carrying sorry teams to the playoffs, Kobe led a team with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown as starters. There is no Cleveland team in the Lebron era that ever had to start anyone on that level of garbage.
I think Lebron’s game will continue to grow and in the next 3 years(when he’s in Brooklyn), and he’ll be far better than Kobe ever was/is. But for right now?
CP3.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:25 am
I love how this is in your stable of comebacks to somebody calling you out…+1 JS to you. Two points, you forgot to add “take a bow and leave” at the end and WeLoveIrishcockinourmouth.com is already taken.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:25 am
dude, i HATE thursdays.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Might want to watch it Mak, TBL is already riled up about San Francisco and now you are talking about LeBron v. Kobe and its not on the message board he created.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:26 am
I’m moving back to SF in a couple of months. Newsom retracted the policy when there was an uproar after every single illegal immigrant youth offender fled after being put in safety homes. The city governments of SF, Oakland and Berkeley rival any other cities for incompetence, ideology gone too far, and ineffectiveness.
But beyond that, SF kicks ass and is rivaled by few cities in the world. But, yeah, that policy is total bullshit.
It’s not about being right or left, it’s when you’re too far right or left that you begin to suck. This country has made being in the center seem like a bad thing, when really, it’s all about common sense and not clinging to bs thoughts and programs because that’s what someone in a certain party would do. Protecting illegal immigrant offenders is stupid, so is getting rid of the JROTC, or supposedly being pro- free speech but demanding that military recruiters leave your city.
And there are equally stupid examples on the right as well. People just need to use common sense, relax, and have a beer or two.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:30 am
It’s not about being right or left, it’s when you’re too far right or left that you begin to suck.
+ Ï€… as Bertrand Russell once wrote:
The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:33 am
Miz, Irish is most hated. Deal with it.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:33 am
@mizerle- i bet you cant go two months w/o saying my nickname. Bet?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:35 am
haha nick. The biggest dick rider of them all. You must of loved brokeback mountain with all the backs you jump on in here. where is the greek last name? we all know you like it greek style
July 24th, 2008 at 10:36 am
You’re right CB, change topic…
ummm…
Oh, I live in Texas where http://www.news8austin.com/content/your_news/default.asp?ArID=201747 happens every year. And these women are ‘mericans.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:37 am
‘merica…FUCK YEA.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:38 am
Freedom’s just a buck 0 five.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:39 am
alright that was fun. Thanks for the entertainment.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:40 am
No bet. And, you still haven’t addressed my original inquiry. Do I need to go ahead and thank you again for giving me the KristaFracke.com link before you use that as another diversion to answering my question?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:40 am
I’m serious, just google ‘texas mother kills’ and see how many different instances this crap happens. It’s not natural.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:43 am
Makblunt…you live in Austin? love it there, favorite city in the country.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:43 am
Shit, my mom lives there, might have to put off that January visit I am planning.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:44 am
I read in the Sac Bee last week that the Golden Gate Bridge was the #1 spot in the world for suicides. And that San Francisco was debating putting up more barriers on the GG Bridge to prevent suicides. If they don’t do it it would kill tourism.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 am
@miz- why do you insist on having a conversation w/ me? i got nothing to say to you. back off the nuts
July 24th, 2008 at 10:48 am
Nah, I live about 50 north of Austin. Worked at Solectron Corp. for about two years there. I love that place too if it wasn’t for all that traffic.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:48 am
50 miles, Cameron
July 24th, 2008 at 10:49 am
you’re a funny old man, irish. +1 JS.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:51 am
ooooohhhhh now i get a fucking jew star. I dont want a fucking jew star. That is one reason the comment section is slipping. you got ten jerk offs giving jew stars for idiots saying “man that was a good homer huh”
July 24th, 2008 at 10:53 am
Mak, you’re lived in Cameron? Yoeman, right? I had a football coach that was from there.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:54 am
miz sucks when it comes to JS. what are you at right now miz? -9993?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:56 am
Yeah I remember when this Erin Andrews obsession was named Melissa Stark
July 24th, 2008 at 10:58 am
sparty, try to keep up. I’m at -9992. and yes, I am teh suck at JS.
/man that was a good homer, huh?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:00 am

Melissa Stark was the girl every guy thought he could achieve. Cool, smart, nice looking, but not over the top, AND she reported on sports.
EA is the next generation. Most guys realize that there is NO CHANCE. She is smart, really good looking, AND she reports on college football, college hoops, and baseball, which is trifecta as far as I’m concerned.

MLJ is ghey.

The guy who wrote the Pedro article is only stating the obvious. Why not just have an article about the sun rising today. His velocity has been down for 4 years. No one mentioned his Dad was also dealing with brain cancer during all of this. His Dad died yesterday so Pedro won’t start this weekend. We expect these guys to be robots. Me included. Sometimes other things creep in. My best to Petey and his family.
and to get off my high horse
/dick joke

Maggs…I don’t care how gay it is…people are reading it so if I have to put up more gayness so be it. Tomorrow we have an interview with Derek Jeter. The first ten questions will be about the Ford Edge. There will be no more than 10 question

lol. that is funny. trust me, i really could care less how i am viewed on here. I know im hated and i deal with it.
When I read that post by Irish I thought “Wow, what a healthy attitude”. Sadly the truth of that is tarnished every single time you respond(to extraordinarily little or no stimulus)with vitriol ,cheap insults, and personal abuse that I am amazed TBL tolerates. You dislike the MLJ lads, they apparently think you’re fun to poke and prod. Who gives a dingo’s dingleberries what they think of you or you of them.Get over it man. TBL said it nicely in the Bill of Rights…(paraphrasing here because I’m too lazy to reread it)Busting someone’s chops for their team allegiance or their team’s performance is part of the fun but personal abuse is not acceptable. It really isn’t and every time you or someone else demonstrates that they care what anonymous commenters say about them,by blasting back, it just shows a lack of class, a lack of intelligence and most sadly , a lack of tolerance. Mind you, that’s just my opinion and as such it has no more relevance to you or anyone else then your opinion or Hef’s opinion or Nick P.’s opinion would have to me.

Mak, you’re lived in Cameron? Yoeman, right? I had a football coach that was from there.
Yes, the Yoe, as the kiddos call it. I’m from Nawlins, but moved to Texas about 9 years ago( had a dream about rain and got the fuck out). My wife is from here, this little tiny town. Her mom, dad, sis, and 2 aunties stay on the same block as we do. Cheating is proving to be very hard to pull off…
