Can’t Blame Him for Staring; or Her for Snubbing Him
Tennis July 24th. 2008, 1:20pm
Down the Line continues to kill the tennis beat: Remember that guy who we applauded for ripping Skip Bayless? His name is Justin Gimelstob, and he trashed Anna Kournikova, too. Not cool!
Anyway, Kournikova and this fellow were in DC together at a tournament and not only was he caught leering at the suddenly-busty blonde … but she snubbed him, too.
(Of note: When you see the guy with his camera-phone aloft, what immediately comes to mind?)
* More from the Washington Times.

Kournikova refused to return Gimelstob’s serve last night and then served underhand in the mixed doubles event.
She sure took the high road last night. Great teammate!

I heard the Japanese iphone won’t let you turn off the fake clicking shutter sound when taking pictures, because they thought it would prevent upskirt shots. Is that true for the US version as well?
/If not, TBL will riding escaltors for the remainder of the day.

Rudy Giuliani is suing Duke University. rudy doesnt mess around
July 24th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
why’s rudy suing Duke? Not that I blame him, Duke has been handing out settlements left and right recently, I personally would love to get a piece of change from them.

ooh, the IOC just denied 7 Iraqis from competing in the Olympics. They had already banned Iraq, but the 7 were to compete under the Olympic flag, but that waiver was just rescinded.
July 24th, 2008 at 1:47 pm
Why is the IOC banning Iraq? They played in 2004 (or at least the soccer team did)…

Jazz Hands..anything with Jazz Hands

Iraq disbanded their NOC, the IOC didn’t like that. Iraq’s side is that the NOC didn’t have a quorum and hadn’t held elections in 5 years and was corrupt, IOC’s side is that the NOC is supposed to be independent and that the disbanding was due to sectarian issues. he said/she said and iraqi athletes lose.
Oh, and irish, he’s suing because he got cut from the golf team. What a fucking joke.
July 24th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
Is there any decision the IOC doesn’t screw up with partisanship, greed and/or pettiness?
UN>IOC
July 24th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Fixed, only because when comparing two corrupt, inept international organizations, side with the one that actually makes money and doesn’t depend on the US for handouts.

i actually shared a drink with sergei fedorov and anna back in the day. i was acquaintances with sergeis brother, fedor. yes his name was fedor fedorov. my friends and i just sat there and stared.
July 24th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Yeah but for all that the UN messes up, it does actually do some good in the world. The IOC? I can’t think of much good they’ve done in a few decades…
July 24th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
One could argue that the UN does as much harm as it does good. The IOC is severely corrupt, but really hasn’t screwed anything important up…so I would definitely side with the IOC.
July 24th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Wow, I didn’t know she still knew what a tennis racket was.

Except for give this Olympics to China, kill baseball in the Olympics just to spite us, take tons of bribes and provide mediocre security (see the Berlin and Atlanta games).
