Baseball, Blogging, NFL, Video Games July 25th. 2008, 3:45pm
Joanna Krupa… Man, this Roundup is weak… Not my fault though… Nobody is sending links today… This had best not be the case this weekend or I’ll just ignore the blog and spend my time in Saratoga at the track… I’ll do it!
I’ll be doing a live-blog for the EliteXC card tomorrow night. Hopefully, it will be better than the s***-show we experienced last time. I’ll be kicking it off around 9pm… Feel free to stop by.
And if you have any tips this weekend, my e-mail address is alumnigonzo at G mail dot com.

July 25th, 2008 at 3:52 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
@mike. In that picture. yes, yes, yes, yes. (Don’t care that it is the same chick, she is smoking)
July 25th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Myspace of the dumb bitch who left her kid home alone so she could go get fucked up.
July 25th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Clown, that was annoying. I hate pages that have music blaring. especially shitty music.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Nice to not have speakers then, I just friended her.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
@cbh: Cougar hunt!
July 25th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Nick you dont believe she is 25?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
In response to TBL’s economic doom and gloom link this morning:
If Things Are So Bad…

July 25th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
LT was bad ass in Crunch Course. I wore the fuck out of that VHS.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
@cbh: I didn’t even go to the page. Blocked at work. When I hear “mother,” I immediately think of an older lady.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:12 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
@Mike…thank you.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Has anyone seen HBO Real Sports this week?
- Andrea Kremer is jacked in her interview with Parcells. TBL has competition.
- Parcells admits that Romo drove him out of coaching.
- Horse event is a fucked up sport: 14 riders and 12 horses have died in the last 18 months.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
really? having the celebrity qb actually got to him? that would interesting to watch, if I had HBO.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
What a f’ing slow day? i’m mailing in my work day more than TBL.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
Can’t we talk cartoons or something.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-sasha25-2008jul25,0,1857797.story
Sasha Vujacic might go to Europe.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
That chick who left her daughter, also named her kid Nevaeh (according to those pictures clown linked to) !?
For those who were around during yesterday’s round-up, that’s too weird…
July 25th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Anyone watching boxing tomorrow?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
I’m headed to the local bar tonight and there is bound to be a fight. Does that count clown?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
what kind of cartoons? take your pick
July 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
It is ok Purdue Matt. Just this morning TBL admitted to being just like you, Mike NYC and 412… and he loves LeGlobalOverRated… I don’t really know why I come to this site… and I didn’t even mention freaking Billy Wagner.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
I don’t want to go all geek, but this story published by Yahoo blaming PS2’s for all this stuff is bunk. There were a lot more DVD players and cell phones being sold during that time period, and those items also use coltan. But, of course, it’s easire to demonize the socially inept gamer than it is every Tom, Dick and Harry that had to have a DVD player and a cell phone.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
I saw the link on Hot Clicks today regarding the Top 25 game shows and thought that might spark a spirited discussion.
I’m kind of pissed Sale of the Century didn’t make the cut.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Delonte West might be headed to Moscow.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
I was thinking how the mid-late 80’s transformers were my favorite, and the best ever?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
The pictures of that brawl are kinda cool. sucks that fan got hit with the ball though.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
It wasn’t Romo’s off field “muffing.” It was his muffing of the snap in the playoffs. Parcells said it was too much work for a blown field goal to cost him a win.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Double dare? Whoa. That was horrible.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
But if we’re talking cartoons, then make mine either Darkwing Duck or Hong Kong Fuey
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
excuse me?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
clown, i’ll probably be watching that fight tomorrow? i’m not a UFC fan but i still enjoy watching boxing.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Double Dare was the shit and so was Wild and Crazy Kids
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Press your luck. Now that’s my style.
No whammies, no whammies
July 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Batman the Animated Series was pretty kick ass. I also enjoyed Ronin Warriors when it was on for a while, but if I watched them now I think they would probably suck ass…
July 25th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Take it back, nwilson, or it’s Physical Challenge time.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Game shows: I am glad they put the first 2 seasons of the Mole on there. That is one of my top 5 favorite shows ever. then they blew it with the celebs. I was really looking forward to the return this summer but stopped watching after like 4 episodes. so disappointing.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Anyone watching boxing tomorrow?
Fuck yeah clown! A Mexican and Puerto Rican shedding some of their brown blood for my entertainment. I’ll take that over some gay dudes in a cage.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
I will not take it back. No way family fued is only 12th.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
@ Roeth I really dont consider survivor or the amazing race game shows. I would have liked to see this make the list if those are thought of as game shows.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
I think he nwilson should get slimed.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
with you on press your luck wilson way up there on the list for me
cbh wild and crazy kids! going down memory lane here…anyone remember nick arcade?? the final game was impossible, the one where you were “in” the video game
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
benji, are you asking me if you can watch boxing? By all means, do so.
I hope Cotto destroys Margarito and it draws Mayweather out of retirement. I think Money May’s legacy is tarnished until he fights Cotto.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
over GI Joe? what you smokin brotha?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
or guts with the aggro crag
July 25th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
and no way should Feud not be in the Top 10.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
What time frame was GI Joe on during?? Early 80’s 90’s?
I really don’t know.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
I remember Omar Gooding being on Wild and Crazy Kids and then he was a badass on Playmakers, smoking crack at halftime is classic!
July 25th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Transformers
GI Joe
Thundercats
July 25th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
clown, is it HBO or PPV? Gotta be HBO I imagine. too lazy to look. I’ll probably watch if it’s HBO
July 25th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Omar Gooding’s best work was in Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
I never really thought win ben steins money was that good either.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Guts would be the shit whenever it was two dudes and a girl and the girl would win.
Legends of the Hidden Temple
July 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
GI Joe was mid to late 80s.
anyone remember the Wild and Crazy Kids with Rodney Peete throwing passes to kids off the diving board?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
i wasn’t asking you, i was telling.
all the game shows on NickGAS were pretty sweet. especially GUTS and Legend of Omec’s Temple.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
wow
July 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
HBO., HBO, HBO. OK, it’s out of my system.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Boxing’s on PPV tomorrow. Boxing needs to take a year-long break from PPV just to get a hint of their fanbase back. There are a lot of good fighters out there.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
i don’t know who Omar Gooding is off the top of my head, but is he related to Cuba?
July 25th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
PurdueMatt, everyone of those stats he listed can be refuted… so new home sales crept up? We still are shattering records for foreclosures and empty housing.
Nobody is saying this in 1935 and we’re in the middle of a catastrophic depression, but for god’s sake please drop this glassy-eyed optimism and admit that we have a problem… it’s one we can deal with, but it’s a problem none the less.
Plus if Larry Cudlow thinks people were mad at Phil Gramm for saying we’re in a mental recession, and not that we’re a ‘bunch of whiners’ then he’s gone senile… once again: JUST BECAUSE IT’S 33 DEGREES OUT DOESN’T MEAN YOU’RE WRONG FRO SAYING IT’S FREEZING COLD.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Of course foghorn was my favorite character.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
I don’t want to go all geek but Comic-con rules!
/Photo of hot chick in that link, not geeky comic stuff
July 25th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
I was a huge fan of Transformers and GI Joe – they used to be on back-to-back early in the morning and my parents would get pissed because I’d wake up super early before school just to watch.
Game Shows – Price is Right def. is number 1 and I agree Survivor/Amazing Race shouldn’t be on the list. Match Game was also a fave and I still watch some of the reruns.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
benji, not sure if you are being serious, but yes that is Cuba’s brother
July 25th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
highball, click the ‘photos’ page if you want some good laughs for the rest of the afternoon.
July 25th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
PurdueMatt just won the lottery or something. He doesn’t see what’s really going on. Even his idol says the economy sucks.
“That’s one reason why I asked yall to turn off the TV cameras.”

July 25th, 2008 at 4:43 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 4:43 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 4:49 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
@cbh – yeah, they had Jesus at the table and he wasn’t even in charge. In my imagination, Aslan would definately work for Jesus
July 25th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Sparty are you telling me He-Man wasn’t tapping that superhero ass?

July 25th, 2008 at 5:02 pm

July 25th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
To the Snorks I say: Hooooooooooooonk! Whoooooooooooooo!
Am I just too old or does anyone else remember Kid Video? Saved those of us who lived to far out in the boonies to get our MTV.
Got give a shout out to Capt. Caveman (and Son) as well as Dungeons & Dragons.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
OhJay, i remember Kidd Video. i remember all unimportant shit. That’s why my family calls me Cliff.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Voltron
July 25th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
Friday Night Videos and Night Flight, before we got MTV.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
what about some scooby doo? Or the flintstones?
July 25th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
speaking of GI Joe
July 25th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
again scooby and flintstones go further back, so they get eliminated from discussion, though we all watched them as well.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
yeah, i get it sparty, i’m fucking old.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Just so people know…I downloaded all the voltron episodes, and damn we were easy to please back then. That shit wouldn’t last 2 episodes with today’s kids. Lesson: never watch anything that you liked when you were a kid, it’ll inevitably suck.
GUTS and Legend of the Hidden Temple are replayed on that nick sports channel; GUTS is actually still pretty awesome, Temple sucks though. One of the girls on my floor freshman year actually brought her piece of the Astro Crag for her dormroom, it was pretty cool.
Also
the PS2 is the world’s best selling DVD player…market penetration in the US around 50% of all households which is fucking incredible. So…yeah.
July 25th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
never watch anything that you liked when you were a kid, it’ll inevitably suck.
Truer words have never been spoken… don’t believe me? Go back and watch He-Man. It’s Kevin Spacey gay/latently homoerotic.
July 25th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
1. Transformers
2. G.I. Joe
3. TMNT
honorable mention..
Spidey and his Amazing Friends(I think that was the title).

To make Maggs lose his shit:
What Bush and Batman Have in Common
Maybe Bush wakes up and thinks “I’m Batman”. It would explain a lot.
