Pineapple Express should be just about the funniest film ever made.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:08 am
now i gotta wait 9 hrs to look at the playboy link. ooops, wait a sec, this is what cell phones were originally designed for…right?
July 29th, 2008 at 8:10 am
Please don’t include me in this. However, I would do terrible things to the Heard sisters.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:12 am
Jessie the Body Ventura – Ugh. He’s on Howard Stern and thinks something “assisted all of that” 9/11 carnage. He’s definitely dubious about what happened to the Twin Towers.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:13 am
Absolutely NO to Brooke Hogan. That’s a man, babyyyyy!
July 29th, 2008 at 8:15 am
TBL- i am sure it is not getting its own post. no wtf link to the pistons signing kwame brown?
July 29th, 2008 at 8:17 am
opie and anthony ripped his ass about that one a few weeks back.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:19 am
I think Brooke Hogan is attainable, and therefore, not hot enough to be famous strictly for her looks. If she didn’t fall out of the right vagina, she’d be another good looking girl from Florida.
BTW: Just an opinion, but between “Pineapple Express” and “Zac and Miri Make a Porno” (new Kevin Smith movie this fall), Seth Rogen will be the biggest thing in comedy since the aristocrat joke was first riffed upon.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:25 am
he IS getting his own post.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:27 am
i may not go to the best party school, but we finally took the crown for best dorms!
July 29th, 2008 at 8:30 am
wow, color me stupidly surprised!
July 29th, 2008 at 8:32 am
That brunette at the top of the post is a fetching young lass. And I’m going to assume that she doesn’t have a shitty tattoo of Marilyn Monroe on her arm, bumping her up another notch.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:42 am
My wife has always brought up a good point regarding the extreme home makeovers. If the family was scratching by before, what do they do after their home is vastly upgrading, and the property/real estate tax quadruples on them?
July 29th, 2008 at 8:46 am
+1 Dirty Sanchez. I don’t understand the Megan Fox thing. Nice? Yes. Drool-worthy? Not so much…
+1 St. Bear. ABC should feel every bit responsible for this issue. This likely won’t be the last one. One of the Extreme Makeovers in Columbus had the same issue, but someone came in and bailed them out before they had to sell.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:48 am
Kwame got a cheap deal, and he’s worth 6 fouls.
He’s a bust as a 1st round pick, but he’s not a terrible player.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:48 am
No tats, as far as i can tell.
it’s greed, man. how can you get a house COMPLETELY PAID OFF and get 100k, and then go into foreclosure? i dont know the area, but how high can the taxes be per month? Let’s just be silly about it – 1k a month, for 12k a year.
WHAT DO YOU NEED A 450K loan for? ‘investments?’ do these people have any fucking clue? greed is slowly killing this country.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:49 am
@Wally: After reading the article, in this particular case it’s not ABC’s fault. ABC paid off their entire mortgage so they owned the property free and clear, then the homeowners took out a $450k mortgage to invest in a construction company that failed.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:50 am
TBL, you’re absolutely right about the greed. It’s that mixed with a healthy does of stupidity. I was making more of a general point rather than talking about this specific case.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:50 am
+1 tbl – great way to start the morning, playboy pics!!
maybe the pistons are just looking for an expiring contract, or they’re just fucking stupid.
I love living in Florida, not only is UF the party place, but so is every other college here.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:50 am
I think you and my Grandpa would get along really well
July 29th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Awesome
July 29th, 2008 at 8:52 am
Now that’s funny.
Here’s the link to the full WSJ article, by the way.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:54 am
@ St.Bear
Thanks. I read similar article this morning and I must not yet have been awake. I didn’t realize that they had paid off the house altogether.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:55 am
TBL, did you know that Leighton Meester is actually a natural blonde, but they make her dye her hair dark for the character(too much info, I know). I watch GG too.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:56 am
@mike: Still need a subscription.
FYI – for those with BlackBerries, you can read all the Wall Street Journal stuff for free on it. They haven’t figured out how to block it…yet.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:01 am
I never understood the whole Extreme Makeover premise. Fixing up their house, putting on an addition, maybe even paying off their mortgage – those things make sense. Building a $1 million castle in the middle of what is usually a poor or working class neighborhood doesn’t make much sense.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:07 am
You’re using way too much common sense and reason Dirty, they change lives!!!
Penn State #3, nice to see. That elephant/dragon book looks decent, I would also recommend a similar book, The World Is Flat by Friedman of the NYT.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:07 am
Hmm, that’s weird.
The best way to read subscription articles, I’ve found, is to just type the full title into Google News. So with that article, it comes up here as the second “big” result, where you should be able to read the whole thing.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:09 am
I don’t think the fine citizens of Boston to be pulled into the odd greater Milwaukee area fascination with Trenni Kusnierek. A fascination of which I am also guilty.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Had a friend who got an early screening for Pineapple Express. Says it is the funniest movie he has seen in awhile.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:12 am
@Nick – Correction. Kwame is not worth the 6 fouls and he is a terrible player.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:17 am
yes, yes, YES, YES. Well done, TBL
July 29th, 2008 at 9:21 am
@ARP: i noticed that as well. sometimes you gotta let things slide. TBL has off days too.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:24 am
It’s not Obama’s fault he’s running against an old man who’s having to make himself as bland as his breakfast to appeal to independents while not turning off the 1/4 of the population functionally-retarded enough to still love Bush…
Besides, McCain sure wasn’t whining about how much the media helped him in 2000 when they were all starry eyed in his lap.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:26 am
Holy shit. I know Amber Heard’s “equally attractive sister”. I still have her number in my phone, as WhitNey (I was really drunk when I input it, and I didn’t get a single number right, had to get it again the next day at work.)
July 29th, 2008 at 9:30 am
Yes, the first pic of the blonde. Now that would be the only reason to watch gossip girl. I’m not against the girls, only the show itself. I should have just hit mute.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:34 am
Pineapple Express should be just about the funniest film ever made.
No. Tropic Thunder looks funnier.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:34 am
“are we the only ones who think Brooke Hogan looks good in a bikini?”
What a guy sees in a woman is subjective. What a guy sees in a dude with implants is not.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:37 am
“are we the only ones who think Brooke Hogan looks as naturally feminine as John Elway?“
/personal opinion
July 29th, 2008 at 9:37 am
quote for truthiness
July 29th, 2008 at 9:37 am
the press and Senator Obama have “broken upâ€
Pretty sure I called this a few weeks ago, it’s all about building up and tearing down.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:37 am
Pineapple Express will be great… high
July 29th, 2008 at 9:44 am
first order of business with my new iphone i just got today – look up those playboy pics while at work. technology is awesome.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Trenni K. used to work in Pgh and I’d see her out at the bars every so often. Nothing special by any means, but anytime you find a relatively cute girl who knows a lot about sports she probably picks up a few “bonus points” in the ratings systems.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:50 am
Susie Feldman should ask her surgeon for a refund.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:55 am
As soon as Hard Knocks is over, I’m getting rid of HBO.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:08 am
As soon as Hard Knocks is over, I’m getting rid of HBO.
Good call. HBO has gone to shit.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:09 am
Get Showtime, Inside the NFL is there now and Weeds is a helluva show.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:12 am
from what ive seen this season, that show has jumped the shark.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:13 am
Pineapple Express looks funny? I’m predicting a bust. Rogen’s schtick is tired.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:14 am
cbh, I already have Showtime, it’s about a million times better than HBO. I’ll miss being able to see Curb, but that damn show goes on hiatus for years at a time, so it’s not worth it to keep HBO just for Curb. I don’t really even like Entourage anymore.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:16 am
Entourage was weak last season, hoping it is better this year, although I don’t get why they are competing with Sunday Night Football.
Have to disagree Spencer, I think the illegals storyline with Andy and Doug is hilarious, and like that the show feels fresh with them being in a new place.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:17 am
Weeds was a funny concept that made for a terrible sow after the first 3 episodes.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:18 am
I don’t really even like Entourage anymore.
Everytime someone realizes that, an angel gets its wings.
/end TV snobbery
July 29th, 2008 at 10:19 am
sure it’s a new place, but the storyline has become totally contrived and ridiculous.
suburban homemaker selling chronic? believable. suburban homemaker being a drug kingpin…hardly.
first 3 seasons were awesome, every good thing has to come to an end.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:20 am
I love Weeds, don’t believe it’s jumped the shark.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:22 am
I just watched all the episodes of Weeds over the weekend, and I agree with cbh, Doug and Andy make the show. Generation Kill has been pretty badass on HBO, and the recruiter documentary last night was cool as well.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:23 am
Weeds is so-so nowadays. When’s Dexter coming back?
July 29th, 2008 at 10:25 am
I stopped expecting believability out of the show when Andy had his toes bitten off by a dog and then went into foot porn. Makes it easier to stomach everything else.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:27 am
yea, generation kill is legit.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:53 am
Susie Feldman is one of the hottest chicks to appear in Playboy in a while….she greatly outshines the centerfold this month.
Agree that Generation Kill is sweet….it has a Soprano’s quality to it in that every episode doesn’t include a “huge” moment as it is more about the downtime than the uptime.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:07 am
The sister looks like a snarky bitch.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:16 am
I love Blake Lively.
And I’m pretty sure if there’s any cops that need to meet a quota, they’re just gonna bust every single kid seeing that for possession. That, or they could search every car, yikes. It’ll be worth it. I cried watching Superbad the first time high.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:36 am
That’s why you take care of it at home Bill.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:47 am
im sorry, but if youre a heavy smoker, the best part of it will be over by the time you get to the theater. that’s why you make special cookies and eat em on the trip there so they kick in by the time you get through the previews.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:49 am
Haha, all the heavy smokers I know are way too lazy to ever do that.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:56 am
Hye, guys was trying to set up a fantasy football money league with just the TBL commenters. About $20 a entry with roughly 10-14 teams. All this is subject to change depending on what the actual managers in the league decide. Only have a couple guys so far, so if you’re interested, here’s the particulars. Any questions, just leave them in the comments section.
It’s Yahoo Sports

I hope Rush buys the Rams and he then trades for McNabb.
July 29th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
I see Suzie Feldman has her pussy pierced.
July 29th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
brooke hogan is a butterface. and she looks too much like the rest of her family.
