Oden, Durant, and Wandering Eyes
NBA July 31st. 2008, 9:00am
So, who’s the brunette with the rear end that caught the eye of two of the best young players in the NBA? The reader who sent in this photo surmises that Maria Sharapova is the blonde.

Ha. Great photo.
Assuming it’s the ESPYs, and that she’s tiny and a brunette, I’d say Danica Patrick.

that’s an awesome picutre.

Hilarious. it’s probably Miley Cyrus.

Oden with the classic “I’d hit it” face… nice!
July 31st, 2008 at 9:10 am
The 2012 Olympic squad looks… perfect. Great point guards and more than 1 true big man.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:10 am
Fantastic, Durant is just kind of looking at them, but Oden has that “oh yeah, I’d destroy that” look all over his face.

I hear an office space quote coming but don’t want to butcher it. All I remember is I’d do two chicks at the same time man.

CRM, do you think Howard will be comfortable backing up Oden?
July 31st, 2008 at 9:15 am
Too bad they didn’t use a wide-angle lens on this pic. If you pan to the left slightly, you’d see Michael Strahan staring at Oden’s ass with the same mischievous grin.

Team USA up 20 in the third qtr. Look to be coasting. A few emails say this is Danica Patrick.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:17 am
By 2012, Oden will be spending time with his grandkids.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:19 am
I don’t think it’s Danica, but I didn’t watch it so I don’t know if she changed dresses.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:21 am
Wasn’t that Sharapova’s outfit from last year?
July 31st, 2008 at 9:22 am
Oden looks ready to hit it. Durant looks content just staring.

@nIck P.
I would normally never do this, but +1

Thanks Maggs. Now I feel bad for the early AM Michigan dig.
Avoid the Roundup, and it’ll be like it never happened.

Camilla Belle - 2007 ESPYs
July 31st, 2008 at 9:27 am
Not Danica, her hair is darker and much longer.
Classic photo though.

Last years ESPYs - It’s Camilla Belle
July 31st, 2008 at 9:31 am
That is from the 2007 ESPYs. Here is another photo, still dont know who the brunette is.

OMG, D Wade with a nasty move on the fast break for a fierce dunk. This will be the No. 1 highlight from the game.
I’m telling you folks, the Heat in 09!! Playoffs!!
July 31st, 2008 at 9:34 am
I’m so Strahan - I just identified an event by the outfit a woman was wearing.

your boy Chris Broussard said Marion might be leaving

Those White girls better watch out. Durrant is gonna get ya.

The East, next year: Celtics, Pistons, Cavs desperate to keep Bron around, Magic with Pietrus, Raptors with Jermaine O’Neal and a commitment to one PG, Wizards with everyone healthy, Bulls with a different coach and Derrick Rose at the point instead of Kirk Hinrich, rising Hawks, Sixers with Elton Brand…with that, I count nine teams I’d consider playoff teams BEFORE the Heat.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:52 am
I’d put the heat ahead of the Bulls and probably the Hawks after they lost Childress. But yeah, 7th seed at best is probably where I’d put them.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:54 am
@Reggie Nelson
Don’t you mean Raptors WITHOUT Jermaine O’Neal?
/injury prone joke
July 31st, 2008 at 9:55 am
Classic photo.

When these same Bulls were a 50-win team and have only added talent and shed Ben Wallace? I’m sorry, the Bulls are the surprise team, not the Heat.
As the second/third/fourth option, or the frontline mate for Chris Bosh, he’s going to be good up there.
July 31st, 2008 at 9:58 am
Who scores on a nightly basis for the Bulls? They have no Go To guy, which is why they sucked last year. I’m not convinced that Rose makes them better with his limited offensive repetoire.
July 31st, 2008 at 10:02 am
If Deng can’t produce when he’s gunning for a contract, I don’t think he’ll produce when he’s got the contract. I’m a big Rose fan, but it’s going to take him a couple months to get acclimated.
July 31st, 2008 at 10:11 am
The beauty of the Bulls is that they should have someone (Deng, Gordon, eventually Rose) who can go for 25 on any given night and rescue them down the stretch, and they’re both young and gritty inside. They blew it, three times, with not doubling down for Kobe, or KG, or Pau, but their core is capable of 50 wins. Whether they get there or not is debatable.
July 31st, 2008 at 10:16 am
Rose is not going for 25 many nights. Deng went for 25+ a whopping 8 times last year, which is the same number of times he failed to score in double figures. And don’t forget, they have yet to resign Gordon.

Greg Oden’s gonna teach Kevin Durant how old school G’s get it done.
July 31st, 2008 at 10:36 am
Camilla Belle… she’s worthy of another re-cap photo this week.
July 31st, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Not that it matters, but I’m pretty sure that picture is from last year’s ESPYs. Oden is a good 20 pounds heavier now. Still a nice photo.
