In with White Chocolate, Out with Shaun Livingston
NBA August 8th. 2008, 5:15pm
Between Favre and the Olympics, this signing is likely to barely register a blip on the radar: the Clippers signed point guard Jason Williams. The signing is notable on two fronts: 1) He has – we think – more NBA rings (one) than the rest of the roster combined, and 2) the Shaun Livingston experiment is officially over. With Baron Davis, J-Will and Jason Hart, there’s no room for another point guard.
A high school legend, the fragile Livingston has been a colossal bust in the NBA since being drafted fourth in 2004 – he’s played in just 154 of a possible 328 games. We’d say he should have accepted that scholarship to Duke … but he’s made roughly $14 million during his brief career (before taxes, agent, lawyer and all those other fees), and he’s not even 23 yet.

Livingston’s main injury was pretty freaky, bust seems like the wrong term for him to me for some reason.

bust is still harsh, then again he’ll never be a star

He definitely flashed signs of being an exceptional talent…it’s unfortunate that his knees are just terrible.
