ok, so sorry to everyone whos names these are, but people seem to be trying too hard. maybe its just me, and maybe im just a grouch
August 8th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
What about mine, Hostetler’s Moustache? (Which had to be changed to Team Hostetler because it was too long)
August 8th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
Rank the following fantasy value of these WRs: Braylon, Andre Johnson, Fitz, Wayne, Owens, Colston.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
Owens
Braylon
Fitz (rumor has it Boldin is slow recovering from his hamstring injury)
Wayne
Andre Johnson
Colston
August 8th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
I don’t like any of them. I guess I should have submitted my own super-clever team name.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Wayne, Johnson, Colston, Owens, Fitz, Braylon
/My prediction
August 8th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
Owens, Wayne, Edwards, Colston, Fitzgerald, Johnson
August 8th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
but I am no expert by any means. Johnson doesn’t get as many TD’s though and that offense is a bigger question mark than any of the others except maybe Arizona
August 8th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
CRM—-I hate Braylon, I mean he plays for the Browns and went to Michigan, but why do you rank him last of those recievers? i would put him 3rd at worst
August 8th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Mendenhall
Zorn
Breesy
August 8th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
Pretty good set of elite WRs. Could even throw Chad in there too (obviously Moss is on a tier of his own.) Would probably go:
Owens
Johnson
Wayne
Edwards
Fitz
Colston
August 8th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
1. Wayne - in the system and with the QB that’ll get him the ball
2. Fitz - with Angry Bolding beside him, teams can’t double up.
3. Colston - should benefit from Shockey’s presence.
4. Owens - #1 Receiver but they’ll run the ball more.
5. Braylon - Will get many of his numbers before the cold sets in.
6. Johnson - The Texans QB is still running for his life.

Keep these types of questions coming, Mike, I love ‘em!
August 8th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
Gotta abstain from this one. I’ve seen much better.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Owens
Wayne
Fitzgerald
Colston
Braylon
Johnson

the best name wasn’t entered…the Kardashian Backfield in Motion was the best name ever, but whoever thought it up was too lazy to enter it in at rotonation.

August 8th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
What about ranking these three WRs: Marvin Harrison, Dwayne Bowe, Roddy White.
Not as elite as the other, but had this argument with someone the other day.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
Marvin
Roddy
Dwayne
August 8th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Okay. Let’s say you have (10 man league, standard scoring) the 9th or 10th pick. Would you go WR/WR and wait to grab a RB in the third round.
Like, would it be dumb to grab Moss at 9 and then T.O. at 12? I think I’d do it, after the top 8 RBs are off the board.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Dwayne Bowe, Owens, Wayne, Edwards, Colston, Fitzgerald, Johnson, Harrison, White
/unbiased Chiefs fan
August 8th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
Joboo I think you have them in order already:
Harrison
Bowe
White
How many teams will you avoid almost entirely (or at least avoid until late rounds) for the fantasy draft? Bears, Dolphins, Falcons…
August 8th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
SG - did you see about CHI’s first-rounder, the left tackle who’s probably out for the year?
Ouch.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Mike, I have been fuming about that all morning. I seriously hate Jerry Angelo.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Mike, I would take RB, not WR with the 12th pick.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
what is the deal with the fantasy football leagues? I want in
I will win and crush all opponents
August 8th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
So no concern about Harrison repeating last year in the way of injury and what not? I agree that Harrison is most likely to have better numbers of the three, but wasn’t so sure that he’d have better numbers to the point of taking on the risk.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
I wish I saw this contest earlier. Can I submit “Bonnie Bernstein’s Tight End” now?
August 8th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
you will what?
August 8th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
There’s concern with Harrison, but it seems like he’s fully recovered. I wouldn’t take any of those guys until late.
Mike, if you have the chance to pick up Owens AND Moss, you gotta do it.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
The other two have Brodie Croyle and Matt Ryan or Chris Redman throwing to them. Marvin has Peyton Manning, if you don’t take Harrison, someone else gladly will.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
A guy in my league last year had Owens, Romo, and Moss, it was ridiculous.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
3-13 for the bears is becoming more likely.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Lovie needs to light a fire under the asses of the Bears defense. The Chiefs converted five 3rd downs (most of which were 3rd and long) last night. The only thing that looked good last night was our running game. I’m depressed.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
Marvin is healthy enough to start in Indy’s first preseason game …
August 8th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
It’s just one preseason game Sportsgal, don’t jump off the ledge yet.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Ah yes, Fantasy League time. D&D for the guys who used to beat up the D&D players.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
cbh, they look exactly like they did at the end of last year. I’m jumping.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Two and a Half Mendenhall is good.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:57 pm

Lofa Tatapu platter got my vote
August 8th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
Apparently my entry, “Michigan sucks,” didn’t make the cut?
For shame, roto nation.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
You could cut ties with all the lies that you’ve been living in, and, if you do not want to see me again, I would understand…
August 8th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
Apparently my entry, “Michigan sucks,†didn’t make the cut?
You should have submitted “OSUs Payroll”.
August 8th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
my vote is for “n/a”
August 8th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
@Tampa: Our players are paid the same salary as Michigan’s. The difference is we offer better fringe benefits (notably our winning environment).
August 8th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
i have not been perusing each post. Pennington may not need to go far to get a job…
August 8th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
A 3rd Eye Blind songfest. I like, I like…
August 8th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
You should have submitted “OSUs Payrollâ€
OSU suspended two players for the first two games. I wonder why they got suspended
August 8th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
@CRM… Check out post 105 from the original list of team names. I think someone has a problem…
August 8th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Those suck.
August 8th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
San Diego Whale’s Vagina and the Blowholes
August 8th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
The finalists are quite underwhelming.
August 8th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
@NickP - i do agree, but you are just merely stating the obvious with that entry.
