Bob Stoops’ Recent Bowl Game Blunders Aside, the Oklahoma Sooners Might Win it All
College Football August 12th. 2008, 1:45pm
Last weekend, a friend with a passion for college football – he sets his DVR for College Football Live – notified us of his National Champion pick: Oklahoma. It took us by surprise. So we looked into the Sooners … yes, it looks very possible. Findings:
1. The schedule. Road games: Washington, Baylor, K-State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. None of those teams are ranked. No Missouri. Kansas and Texas Tech visit Norman. Texas at the Cotton Bowl. The only dangerous game seems to be the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City.
2. Offensive line: Five seniors, two of which could be first-round NFL draft choices.
3. Best defensive line in the Big 12, and probably Top 5 in the country.
4. Sam Bradford is coming off perhaps the finest freshman season for any QB in NCAA history: a record 36 TD passes. His two best offensive teammates are gone (WR Malcolm Kelly and RB Allen Patrick), but WR Juaquin Iglesias led the team in receptions and RB DeMarco Murray might be a darkhorse Heisman candidate.
Don’t particularly like Oklahoma, but we liked their odds on the title (+500) enough to plunk down a chunk of change this morning. We now have futures wagers on Georgia (+700) and Oklahoma to win it all, which is sort of silly … unless you think both teams are heading to the National Championship, like we do.

i wrote on this very blog a few weeks ago that the winner of usc-ohio state would play oklahoma for the national title.
i can’t see anyone out of the sec going undefeated.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Eh, I like Georgia a lot, but I’m not sold on Oklahoma running the table. And USC and Ohio State can both go to hell.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
They will probably beat o$u in the national championship game.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
A better quote has never been written. I applaud you sir.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Oklahoma may get to the national title game but then they will get absolutely destroyed.
Unless they play Ohio State.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:51 pm
A bold headline if I’ve ever seen one.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
Given how many bad breaks OU caught last year and it still managed to have a good year, I can see them being right there at the end.
The only problem – if Georgia and either USC or OSU run their tables, then they don’t have enough stregth of schedule to leap ahead of any of those teams.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
I’m worried about the Michigan game. Otherwise, I think tOSU’ll be fine.
/couldn’t say it with a straight face.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
The SEC might have something to say about this. Fuck oklahoma.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
The Texas Tech game, sandwiched between road trips to A&M and Okie St., will most likely be their toughest game.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Texas will beat Oklahoma (Longhorn fans are going to bust a nut over Will Muschamp this year)… USC gets in by beating Ohio State and the Pac-10 taking a step back this year. the other spot is tougher to pick.
a 1 loss Florida vs. USC
August 12th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Stoops’ asshole gets mighty tight when the pressures on and then the playbook turns into a pamphlet.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
give me a break…OSU gets ripped apart, but Oklahoma doesn’t get shit about getting smoked every bowl game they play.
FUCK. THAT.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
@Nick P.
You SHOULD be worried about the USC game… and I wouldn’t really sleep on Michigan this year either.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
And USC will need a healthy Sanchez to beat OSU. I don’t know what a dislocated kneecap is but it sure sounds like that might take a bit to heal.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Oklahoma may get to the national title game but then they will get absolutely destroyed.
Spencer, I sort of took them to task.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
@fluffy
no, they have 5, 5 star running backs down the pipe. They don’t even need a QB.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
@Maggs: No, I’m extremely worried about the USC game. If we can get a lot of pressure on Sanchez, I think we’ll win.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Mitch Mustain > Mark Sanchez
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
i just read fluffy, that his knee injury isn’t as bad as they thought and he should be ready for the opener
this yr for osu the 2 games that worry me USC and Wisconsin…Wisconsin more that southern cal
and yes we can sleep on UM this yr–RR will get it going but not this yr
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Thank you. At this point I’m pretty sure they’re just the Red Sox and Yankees of college football…always good, but no one will ever shut up about them.
Fuck…go Penn State? Did West Virginia lose their goodness? This is going to be a long damn season.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
don’t sleep on a team that has no offensive players who don’t fit a new offensive scheme and a defense that took a step back from last year where they gave up 220 yards to the RB that OSU still has…and the game is in columbus?
i like our chances…big time.
August 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
put me on the list of people who don’t believe in the Sooners. Someone mentioned this before, but they seem to just get way too conservative at crunch time and in the end, it costs them. They lose in the Big 12 championship.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
Mmonast, you are crazy for worrying more about Wisconsin than USC.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:01 pm

I think OSU’s LBs should be able to contain the USC ground game.

August 12th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Obviously the winner of OSU-USC provided they run the table is in. SEC champion or Oklahoma are the logical choices for an opponent.
With that being said, teams need some luck even to get into the title game. The year OSU lost to Texas, OSU was a better team than the one that lost to Florida the following year. If U. of Cincinnati’s receiver has any hands, OSU does not even make it to the national championship game to beat Miami with the assistance of a questionable pass interference call.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
playing @ camp randall at 8pm is gonna be very very very tough this season…wisconsin is a good team and USC has a new QB playing his 3rd game—im not overlooking USC at all–i just think that situation at wisky is gonna be a tough one.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:03 pm

Mitch Mustain – ran crying out of Arkansas when Nutt wouldn’t play him. Talented, but nutless.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
@BFF: well when Mustain did play he went 8-0 as a freshman in the SEC
August 12th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
“Road games: Washington, Baylor, K-State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. None of those teams are ranked.”
OU playing OSU on the road has been deadly to the Sooners. That is a scary game for Sooner fans.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Mitch Mustain – ran crying out of Arkansas when Nutt wouldn’t play him. Talented, but nutless.
He tried to pull a Tavaras Jackson, it helps if you go to a school that has a need for a QB.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
@ Maggs- OSU also had the assistance of Lloyd Carr morphing into John Cooper before our very eyes at the Shoe. Michigan was up 9-0 and should have been up at least 17-0. The resemblance of Michigan to the play of Cooper era teams was frightening.

you’ll see
August 12th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
@August: He threw an average of 11 times a game for about 75 yards. He also threw 9 TDs to 10 Ints. I think McFadden had a lot more to do with them going 8-0 than Mustain.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
@August: and yet he left the SEC in a hurry. Look, it may not be the kid’s fault entirely. Every booster, alum and parent at Arkansas seemed to be involved with that football program.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
was this the OSU/Michigan post?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
If Houston Dale Nutt was your coach and “mentor” and you found a way to go 8-0 and then get benched….I think you would get the hell out of town too. What was he gonna learn from HDN? To be “precious” and how to hand the ball off?
He should be good in that offense. Not much of a drop off if any over Sanchez. Maybe better…
August 12th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
@CRM: agreed. Wouldn’t say Rust in Peace is the best, but that album does kick some serious ass.

Ole Miss is now blessed to have the genius with the decision-making skills required to not play Mustain. look for Ole Miss to lose to Memphis this season or next.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
there are two, possibly three teams out of the sec that could win the national title. and that is the problem. georgia/florida/auburn will knock each other off. as a result, i can’t see any sec team coming out of the sec title game unscathed.
i can easily see either of the three aforementioned teams getting bumped off.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:15 pm

/Frank Broyles

Dave Wannstedt is laughing at you Mags
August 12th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
Man, I can’t wait for ESPN to tell me how fricking good the SEC is.
But for the record, if any of those three teams can do it, I think it’s Georgia.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
ive seen him…he’s great, which is why im looking forward to the matchup.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Mustain, who never was too humble, walked into the biggest clusterfuck of egos in the SEC (and that’s saying something). He was run off because of things that had nothing to do with his performance on the feild… he was as good as you’ll ever see a true freshman be in the SEC.
I’m not really a fan of the guy, but he’s insanely talented.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
But for the record, if any of those three teams can do it, I think it’s Georgia.
if georgia somehow is undefeated in december, there’s no question the bulldogs are the best team in the land.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Does Florida even have any decent WRs?
Outside of Harvin I can’t name one of them, and he’s only half a WR.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
It wasn’t Donna Bragg.

August 12th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
georgia just lost their LT…it’s gonna be a lot harder without him.
plus, i just don’t buy the hype…they beat HAWAII!!! and all the sudden they’re unbeatable?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
I remember playing NCAA, I used to set the difficulty down to the lowest setting and quarter length to the longest one and pound the shit out of OSU and USC every season. Beating those places 255-0 with Navy is quite therapeutic.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
COLLEGE FOOTBALL and there’d be 105 comments
August 12th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
August, you nailed it. he got run off by a coach who didn’t like being over-shadowed by a freshman.
Mizerle. And I can’t wait for that to happen.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Not sure yet just how good they are, but Auburn’s SEC schedule is probably the easiest of the contenders. Toughest road game is Alabam. And they don’t have to play Florida. Their toughest game is probably at West Va.
I wish every conference would go to at least 12 teams so everyone would have to win their conference championship to play in the NC.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
“was this the OSU/Michigan post?” Irish
Let us pray to God that it is. It’d be nice if this would also cover any future Big 10 or SEC posts.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
@Johnny. You are cracking me up. Even moreso that I know that douche isn’t here any more. I can’t wait for Oct. 25th. probably the most meaningless game on the SEC schedule, except for the entire state of Arkansas.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
that’d be awesome…michigan vs. OSU twice in 3 weeks. GREAT!!!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Les Miles is a terrible game coach. AWFUL.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
@: NSR, I love Auburn this year and wanted to pick them to win the SEC West, but working in a new QB, OC and DC is just too much in the SEC.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
riley cooper.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
The days of going undefeated through the SEC are over. Too many tough road games. Too much pressure. And if you get through the schedule you have to win ANOTHER game on a neutral field.
I love the Oklahoma pick, but I’m worried about Bradford in a big spot. Not to mention there’s always one game on the schedule where Oklahoma’s “great” defense gets shredded.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
Talk to ND about that. If they joined the Big Ten we would be fine with it.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
Ha! Although I think if the Big 10 picked up another team and went divisional, you’d have to put OSU and Mich in the same divison right?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
@arkbadger – I am SO HAPPY that douche is gone. I couldn’t take him. The fingernail biting and “moving mountains” and overall lack of football knowledge killed me. How he hung on this long without developing even a hint of a QB or actual gameplan is beyond me. He owes Matt Jones and DMac a lot of money for keeping him in a job. Everyday the sun is a little brighter knowing Bobby P is down there chewing asses out and actually teaching the game of football.
I agree, no bigger game then Oct. 25th. I don’t want to beat them, I want to run the mofo score up so far that HDN has tears in his eyes!!! I was happy to hear he went to Ole Miss, thats at least one win a year for Arkansas…
August 12th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
great question…id say you’d have to split them up…have Wisky and Mich in one div and OSU and PSU in the other…
Mags…your thoughts?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
I’ve see Maulauga in a thong and he is more overrated than Laurinaitis. Ol Ray isn’t going to know what do now that Sed Ellis isn’t preventing the line from getting in his way.
The Sooners will figure out a way to lose to Locker when they have to go into UW in the evening
August 12th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
uh…sure he may be overrated by himself, but combine him with cushing, taylor mays, that somoan DT, and everson griffen and he’s beastmode…perfect fit for that D.
frankly, im scared shitless about USC’s defense. offense? not so much…but that D…damn.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
@johnny. What gets to me the most is the people that get on here and say how Arkansas ran off a good coach, they will see, blah, blah, blah. Little do they realize that he was the longest tenured coach in ANY bcs conference that never made a bcs game. This year may be rough, but I am looking forward to the next couple years when we get an actual offensive game plan and some recruits that can actually run it.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
Geographically speaking, it would be:
Iowa
Illinois
Northwestern
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Indiana
Michigan
Mich St.
OSU
PSU
Purdue
Notre Dame
Yeah, that’d be a bit lopsided.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
If ND joined in you would have to split them up… I don’t know maybe
o$u, ND, psu, IU, MN, Iowa
UM, Wisky, NW, Iowa, Illi, State
That seems to work out for basketball as well
August 12th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
I’m expecting a 17-14 game, or something similar.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Mags…that’s logical (and awesome)…too bad NBC money is fucking it all up for everyone.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
aw fuck it…im expecting OSU 245, USC 0.
/you guys order the nachos or the beers? DA BEERS.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Arkbadger – I agree. He was nothing but smoke and mirrors to the outside world. I think Arkansas can win bigger then it did with HDN, he got a free pass because people felt as if coaching here was a crutch? Our facilities are top notch and Long will keep them there.
HDN seemed to waste endless amounts of talent. Petrino on the other hand seems like he will squeeze out any talent available and get the most out of kids. A total 180.
I have to say, as we were seaching for a coach, we looked at Tommy Bowden, which scared the shit out of me. He is the second longest tenured coach to not get to a BCS game. It was like trading HDN for HDN. Thank god we didn’t end up with, Bowden.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Why has Terry Bowden never gotten another job? He led Auburn to an undefeated season.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Yeah, I about shit when they started talking about Bowden, not what we needed here at all. I was actually kind of excited about the guy from Wake Forrest, and I really wanted Tuberville, although I knew that wasn’t going to happen. Only to think what would have been if we would have taken Tubs over Nutt in the first place.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
@spencer
Which is just another reason why I hate ND. Almost as much as I hate o$u… it is closer that you would think. Someone was talking about adding a MAC school like Central Michigan or Cincinatti… yea, THAT would be a great idea… ND needs to just eat it and grow a pair and join the big ten fully.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
I did not realize Iowa was good enough to be in both divisions in the mighty Big 10/11/12B (if Notre Dame got included)
August 12th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Shit!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
only way notre dame joins the big ten is if nbc/ge goes out of business.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
August 12th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Yeah, Grobe would of been fine by me. I also was all about Tubberville. Why we didn’t take him to begin with is another reason Broyles should of retired 15 years ago. Awful decision to take HDN instead of him. Whoever we got was getting a new stadium and was gonna have some success. Tubberville could of gotten us to the next level.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
mags…forgot MSU. theyd have to be in yours…illinois comes to ours.
but cincy is better than ND.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
ah…nevermind…i like that one.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
ND will never join the Big Televen. They would likely have to play one of either OSU or Mich. every year, and sometimes potentially both, and that is basically a guaranteed loss. regardless of tv contracts, ND has a stranglehold of the BCS system’s nuts by being a historic independent that gets to pad it’s schedule with service academies.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
msu = big ten darkhorse this year.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Miz, to say that Notre Dame’s schedule is padded or easy is moronic.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
and every year for the past 15 years
August 12th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
msu = big ten darkhorse this year.
Maybe if the season was 5 weeks long.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
/sarcasm?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
They’ve played Michigan every year for 35 years, doesn’t seem like they are trying to avoid them.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Playing USC and Michigan every year is padding?
August 12th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
not to be a typical, OSU-fan dick but…every team that’s NOT OSU is a darkhourse in the big televen. is there ONE writer not predicting OSU coasts through the b11 season? frankly, if anyone other than the buckeyes win itd be a surprise.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
michigan plus OSU plus the rest of a REAL conference schedule!? they’d never do it.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Miz, them not joining the Big Ten is about money, not because they are scared to play teams.
Please look at their schedules the last six seasons, look at the amount of ranked teams on those schedules, then I will show you a conference teams schedule, that is padding.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/teams/schedule?teamId=87&year=2005
I see one service academy on their schedule this year, Navy, who they play every season.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
To be fair ND does schedule USC and Michigan, but that is made up by scheduling Navy and Army who, honestly not trying to rub it in, should have NO shot at beating ND, even less of a shot than a MAC school.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
They scheduled Army for like 2 years, the talk for years has been they need to join a conference so they have an easier schedule and thus an actual chance at a national title
August 12th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
navy beat ND last year…give me a second…BWAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHA
August 12th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Last year was an abomination and I won’t attempt to defend it in any way.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
you may be right, cbh. I can’t look at espn links at work, blocked by administrative settings, but I’ll do a little research. my perception has been that for an independent team that could generally schedule anybody they want, they typically have more cake teams scheduled than a team from one of the BCS conferences. I’ll do some research and try to back it up.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
before USC got good again, Notre Dame’s schedule was pretty easy, now it isn’t, although they still play Army, Navy, and the Coast Guard
August 12th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
You guys are clueless, I’m done.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Good lord miz.. do you work for James Dobson or something? You’re blocked from everything good on the internets!
August 12th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
I am not mocking ND scheduling, but I don’t see how it would be any easier or harder if they joined the Big Ten. It would be equal and it would end the conference championship 12th game debate.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
@cbh – I’ll get back to you after some reconnaissance work. I’ll admit my wrongness if I turn out to have a false perception.
@August – I think my company stresses some concept called “productivity.” luckily, they haven’t discovered TBL or MLJ yet.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Maggs it would probably be about the same, but they are greedy and they want their NBC money.
I want them to join the Big 10 in football, they play a bunch of the conference anyway.

@cbh… I also see a majority of 2nd tier BCS programs. Some of this is bad luck.
Washington, Pitt, Stanford, and Syracuse are not always bad. They are just bad right now. That is unlucky (lucky?) on scheduling.
North Carolina has been awful, but is getting better (still a year or two away though).
Pitt will still be bad until the Mustachio’d one hits the road.
Purdue is 2nd level Big Ten this year.
SD St. is not good.
Michigan has RR so they are obviously the best team EVAR.
That schedule is very easy this year. Not because they scheduled I-AA teams like 80% of the Big 10 and SEC schools, but because the teams just aren’t good.

Mags…don’t generalize. i wrote a piece on the white sox too. granted it was about how loathesome they are, but still…that counts, right?
August 12th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Wally, agree, but it was claimed they go out of their way to schedule easy teams which is completely false.
I sincerely think they will go 8-4 with the schedule they have this year.

I tried to introduce Maggs to MLJ but my comment is awaiting moderation…
August 12th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
Spencer, when do I get my interview for getting to know the Baltimore Orioles?
I don’t know or give a shit about VORP but I know me some O’s.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:24 pm

August 12th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
You’re right, it should have been holding
August 12th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
cursed, way to prove your point with a Zapruder still.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
@spence: When’s your 10,000 word opus on how the state of Michigan sucks going up?
August 12th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
cbh, email Roman strahan@cockinmyass.com or majorleaguejerk at gmail – I forget which he prefers.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
cbh…i think we did the orioles already. sorry man, you’s late.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Clown, you are the one person that I can forgive for liking the Cowboys.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Nick…oh, it’s coming, i have a special date reserved for it.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Dammit, it wasn’t ill was it? He likes the Phillies too, that’s not a true O’s fan.
You could interview Sterlin about the Nats but hell DC doesn’t care about the Nats, why would your readership?
August 12th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
@spence: Well, at least put it up before they beat us again.
So you should have 8-10 years.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
nicely played.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
@cursed- why would they wait 3 seconds to throw the flag? the flag, however, wasn’t thrown by the side judge who had a clear view of the play and called it an incompletion, but by an official as players rushed the field. The official was quoted “wanted to be sure(he) was making the right call. If it took him that long to throw the flag, clearly he wasnt sure, and therefore should not have thrown a flag on fourth down in overtime of a National Championship game.
/end rant
August 12th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
irish…but he MADE THE RIGHT CALL. end of story, it doesn’t matter what he SHOULD’VE done, because in the end, the call was correct.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Cal got away with a forward lateral against Stanford.
Colorado got 5 downs instead of 4 and Georgia Tech should have had the national title all too themselves.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
spencer- who was talking to you?
August 12th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
irish…you should know i butt my head in whenever i damn well please…especially when it’s buckeye related.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
@irish… If you want to be picky, the same ref screwed OSU by calling a Gamble catch incomplete with 2:00 minutes left in regulation. It was, in fact, a call which would have given OSU a first down.
If that call isn’t screwed up, the game ends 17-14 beacuse OSU can run out the clock. Instead, OSU has to punt and Miami drives the field and kicks a FG to force OT.
/LOVE bitter people that have revisionist memory.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
oh wally, the child molester. what, no perverted comments today
August 12th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Personal attack? Hell, not even a good one, so never mind.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
That call even though it was the correct call was fucked up I left work thinking the game was over and when I got home the shit was still going on.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
irish…i will say that d-ho was quite impressive this AM. fuckin’ angola should learn to duck.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
spencer- im just sick of buckeye faithful bringing up the Miami game all the time. thats all. I like OSU, but the fans are a pain to deal with
August 12th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
@wally- go back to commenting on 16 year old girls. pervert
August 12th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
irish…that’s accurate. tho, imagine how pissed we get whenever anyone brings up Florida or LSU. it’s just as bad.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
Fuck o$u. Miami had a VASTLY superior team and would have won that game 9/10 times. It is a shame the call was blown and it ended in sweatervest being sweatervest and buckstache being buckstache. If it is any consolation irish, the buckstaches will come back down to earth… they always do.
August 12th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
I guess the 14 guys that OSU had drafted into the NFL after the 2002 season was over was just beacuse they made the National Championship. There wasn’t any talent there either…
Don’t worry Maggs. scUM will beat OSU sometime in the next 10 years or so.
And what’s a buckstache? That’s a new one on me?
August 12th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
aw…too bad it’s not a best of 10 series (does that even make sense…whatever, im goin’ with it).
August 12th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Krenzel > Dorsey
August 12th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
The Miami-Ohio State game was a great game between two teams with incredible talent.
I certainly can understand Miami fans being upset at the ending.
Two great teams played that night, and Michigan was at home at the beginning its slow slide to mediocrity.
August 12th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
