We confess that this probably is a bit high. You don’t lose your defensive coordinator, the best lineman in the country, three quarters of your secondary, enter the season with zero experienced QBs and expect to contend for the National Title against a challenging SEC schedule.

Les Miles (34-6 in the last three years) still has a ton of talent left from last year’s National Championship team, but we’re just not sure how this team doesn’t lose at least three games.

If Ryan Perrilloux had cleaned up his act and not been booted from the team, then sure, another title is within reach. But asking a new QB to navigate through a rough five-week stretch that includes trips to Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina, and a game against Georgia, is impossible. Plus, we’re not sure the young Tigers defense will be able to withstand monster offenses like Georgia and Florida. We do, however, really, really like RB Keiland Williams, who should be a major breakout star running behind an experienced line – if he gets the carries.
