Drugs and Women Will Get You Booted from the NBA’s Rookie Transition Program
Drugs, NBA September 3rd. 2008, 4:30pmEx-Kansas Jayhawks teammates Darrell Arthur of the Memphis Grizzlies and Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat were thrown out of the NBA rookie transition program on Wednesday for getting caught with marijuana and women in their hotel rooms, league sources said.
Don’t they show rookies videos of cautionary tales like Shawn Kemp, Birdman Anderson and Michael Ray Richardson? This misstep, however, does not have any impact on our bullish thoughts on the Miami Heat in ‘09.

I still think smoking pot should be an important part of the NBA rookie transition program seeing how 85%* of NBA players are high right this instant. Although, after being in Lawrence for a couple years, I’m pretty sure Chalmers and Arthur had it mastered.
*I totally made up that number. Just having fun with stereotypes.

Completely pimp.

These are the exact reasons why I don’t play in the NBA.

I think being from Alaska Chalmers probably had the whole weed thing down fairly well, too.

Ill, Billy, where are you? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCk

Isn’t it counterproductive to throw them out of the program that is designed to keep them from making bad decisions? Now they got a whole year of hotel rooms and free time. The obviously didn’t last long enough to get through How to Get High on the Road Safely. I sure hope they sat through Wear a Condom.

Maybe the NCAA should have tested them b4 that unc game…
/just pissed that we got beat down.

Clearly a pimp. Couldn’t be more so unless he actually had his ho in the room with him.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Maybe now they’ll take the time to get rid of Joe Paterno from the NBA rookie transition program.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Throwing them out probably didn’t go with the spirit of the camp.

Billy, 4-0 lead, lose 5-4, you didn’t see it did you?
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:55 pm
And as we said earlier, this is a joke. Let them smoke their weed. If it makes them happy (I’m willing to bet it does, cuz I know it does for me), then that probably means they’ll play better. That, or make then frustrated for having to go through 80 obstactly to hit a bowl.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Everybody smokes. Legalize that shit.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:56 pm
There is nothing wrong with women and weed…I thought that was amended into the latest collective bargaining agreement
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:56 pm
WHAT? FUCK! Are you serious? Did Sherrill have any dealings in this? Or did Daniel Cabrera just spread his karma to the whole team?
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Hahha, what a bunch of douches, they tried to pin it on the women.
One league source said the players claimed the marijuana belonged to the women.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Billy, Jamie Walker, R Cherry (who the fuck?), and J Miller (again, who the fuck?) were the culprits.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:59 pm
“One league source said the players claimed the marijuana belonged to the women.”
A good groupie always takes the hit for her players. Chalmers and Arthur are guilty of nothing more than picking the wrong women to get high and have sects with. Rookie mistake.

Rocky Cherry?
September 3rd, 2008 at 5:01 pm
Fuck you Miller. You bring shame to the Miller family name yet again. Fuckface.
