Makes Sense: Bulletproof Cars for Athletes
Athletes are targets, Guns September 10th. 2008, 10:30am
Julius Hodge is probably wondering why nobody thought of this idea in the days after he was shot:
representatives of professional athletes and their security staff have reached out to Texas Armoring Corporation to provide them with custom bulletproof car solutions. According to the company, approximately 80-90% of attacks occur while victims are traveling by automobile, thus a bulletproof vehicle is the first line of defense for individuals in the public eye.
They’re popular in Brazil, and actually, not all that expensive. All Chicago sports teams should sell this to prospective free agents: We’ll throw in a bulletproof car!

So every athlete gets a pope-mobile? Fine. In other news, prices of tickets and beer went up 25%.
And Brazil? What these players live in the City of God?

It’s very sad that this even has to be considered.

They should mass produce the “Pope Mobile” and sell them to athletes. It is a Mercedes.

Got that right, cbh.

Yea this is a good idea for anyone except Vince Young, OJ or Maurice Clarret(if he was succesful).

Nate Newton can’t fit 200+ lbs of ganja in a car. Do they make vans?
September 10th, 2008 at 10:45 am
while this is a no-brainer as is owners hiring or buying limo companies to transport athletes so they don’t get DUIs, how sad is it that we’ve come to this in our society?

But can you put 8 12’s in it and 28 inch spinners?
September 10th, 2008 at 10:53 am
*fixed

22’s wont even fit in this. 12 inch JBL’s would deafen who ever is in the back.

Fuck this. Just let ‘em buy decomissioned tanks and Humvees from the military.
September 10th, 2008 at 11:16 am
@ I Pulled: What are you talking about? Everyone knows those Humvees don’t have enough armor

Blackwater smells an idea cooking.

@ Rockstar- This biased and inaccurate article is about “explosively formed penetrators” (insert dick joke here). I haven’t heard of any athletes getting killed by roadside bombs in Detroit.
