PM Roundup: Warren Sapp is a Fan of Dance
Baseball, College Athletics, Movies, Music, NFL, NFL retirees, Soccer September 10th. 2008, 3:15pm
Rumor has it Holly is moving/has moved out of the mansion. And Kendra is getting her own show. I’ll miss TGND. It was a flash of brilliance (and almost always nude girls) and will be fondly remembered by this blogger. I kind of feel bad for Holly because it always seemed like she truly believed that she would be the one Hef settled down with.
Does anyone still like Metallica? I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard so far off their new album. I’ll be purchasing it when it comes out on Friday to go along with The Big Lebowski: 10th Anniversary Edition.

Maggs, where are you?
\Not gay that you watch that show, but that paragraph was gay as hell. Oh and if you watch that show for nudity I would like to introduce you to YouPorn
September 10th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Good pick with Holly, CRM.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Why is Metallica’s album coming out on a Friday? Doesn’t everyone else do Tuesday’s?
Marques Colston is out for 4-6 weeks with a thumb.
Al Michaels started that out with a body part crap and I wish it would stop.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
Albeit I generally hate the Big Ten, that SEC girl is dead wrong. There’s at least one or two girls that are legit hot between PSU and OSU. Maybe not SEC hot, but hot.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
@cbh
No doubt… or xvideos…. get with the times CRM, you wanker.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
he Dude: Uh, and then, uh, the music business, briefly.
Maude Lebowski: Oh?
The Dude: Yeah. Roadie for Metallica
Maude Lebowski: Oh.
The Dude: Speed of Sound Tour
Maude Lebowski: Mm-hmm.
The Dude: Bunch of assholes.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
Another thing that grinds my gears is hot girls talking about being hot. We know you are fucking hot, shut up.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
/5th grade’d
September 10th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Yes, that would be, he’s out with an injured thumb.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Thanks clown, I needed to laugh.

I’ve heard about 4 songs or so off the new album. “The Day That Never Comes” blows. “Cyanide” is pretty good. The others that I’ve heard don’t really warrant any mention. I think it’ll be like their last album St. Anger in that hardcore Metallica fans will like it, the general public won’t, but at least it’s a step in the right direction (away from Load and Reload).
September 10th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
+1 mizerle.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
matt damon – not a fan!
September 10th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
oops, should have saved that for tomorrow.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
It’s official – TBL’s obsessed.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
My brother is a musician that had a short lived band called The Al Sharptons…he only did this with the hope that he could make albums that had the same name as Metallica Albums….all of this was so He could have The Al Sharptons Load album…this had nothing to do with anything
September 10th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Watch Team America, that is what smart people think about Matt Damon.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
matt damon FAG
September 10th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
I’m going to start moderating TBL’s comments to make sure they’re bi-partisan.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
I am starting to think TBL hates me. TBL, I apologized for the time I said your site sucked for one day. I complimented it for the next few days after, can we move on?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Any large university is going to have hot girls (even Purdue!), the SEC just has more quantity
September 10th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Commenters, Roman War Helmet and Jesus – brothers.

September 10th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
“Marques Colston is out for 4-6 weeks with a thumb.”"
Will you forget about the fucking thumb?!?!?! The thumb is not the issue!
September 10th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
I don’t know anything about her and in eight weeks, I don’t think I’m going to know anything about her.
This is too easy, so you don’t like her, yet you know NOTHING about her, and in 8 weeks you don’t think your stupid ass can research anything to learn anything about her.
This is why people want Hollywood to shut the hell up.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Watch the video below of Matt Damon slamming Sarah Palin
I knew there was a sex tape.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Keep talking, Matt Damon, I beg of you.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
All colleges have hot girls. Even clown college. That’s where clown met his baby mama. And where he watched Baby Mama.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
MATT DAMON! MATT DAMON!…matt damon
September 10th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
How cute, girls of the Big 10 and SEC feuding about who’s hotter.

CRM..as a Christian not only is Jesus my brother but I am Jesus…we all are Jesus
September 10th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
Jesus is real…ly ghey.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
Metallica sucks. they always have.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
CRM reminds me of one of my favorite Simpsons lines.
Homer: I’m going to college!
Bart: Barber or clown?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
I thought clown met his baby mama on the set of a Border Bangers shoot. I’ll have to check my intel again on that one.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Maaat Daamon!
September 10th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Those damn Big 10 schools have that crazy “able to read above a 3rd grade level” requirement to get accepted.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
AZhawk-You get my porn tips in the last post?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
@ CRM and Groin: My all time favorite line from the Simpsons was when Lisa said to Homer “You’re taking us to a shrink who advertises during pro wrestling?”
September 10th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Alex Smith jokes will have to wait for fall of 2009
September 10th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Oh, now my gravatar works. The battles we fight sometimes.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
So Matt Damon is saying that Palin doesn’t have any experience and also wishes for Obama as president. Hypocrisy at it’s finest
September 10th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Palin’s f*cking Matt Damon!?!
September 10th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Get help dude.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Does this mean Mccain is fucking Ben Affleck?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Nuance.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I kind of feel bad for Holly because it always seemed like she truly believed that she would be the one Hef settled down with.
I thought Hef already had a hot wife?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
@I Pulled a Groin
I was at a tailgate (shit housed)in my beloved Harvard hooded sweatshirt and some old timer, seeing me in my stupor, says “Oh Harvard! Is that a high school?” To this day I still think that was a great line.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
SEC women all remind me of the Jessica Lange character from “Everybody’s All-American”…..beautiful, but dumb as a box of hair.
And call me when Kendra is doing something that requires talent, like a sex tape, or something.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Well Is Alaska really a state? Com’on
September 10th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
“one” > Matt Damon + Hef.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Affirmative TB.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
so is it sexist if its a woman criticizing palin?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
why would i hate you, cbh?
anyone see CBS news last night? Obama’s tax plan is bullshit. his entire outlook on the economy sickens me.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Obama’s tax plan is bullshit. his entire outlook on the economy sickens me.
Haha, that’s more like it.
No reason at all TBL, we are cool.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
TBL-Can you give a summary.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
TBL’s is obviously an anarchist.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
I don’t get it Maggs. Did this guy think he was slamming you for wearing what he thought was a high school shirt to a college tailgate or was he slamming Harvard?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
if you have an hour to kill …

it’s the new playboy covergirl; she went to uf. lots of safe for work pics
September 10th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Ok, 2 things:
#1: Did anyone see last night on ESPN2 I think it was a story about the Southern Illinois runningback Mohammad Abdul-Qaadir and his father’s tie-in to 9-11? If you did, most of those highlights for him, Brandon Jacobs and Arkee Whitlock were shot by yours truly.
#2: 6 of the new 10 tracks here. I recommend The Judas Kiss and Broken, Beat and Scarred
/purchasing tickets on Saturday when they come to Chicago
September 10th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
@pulled: i think the old timer was insinuating that Maggs was too dumb to get into the real Harvard so it must’ve been a high school by the same name.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
TBL's is obviously an anarchist.I think I saw him on TV throwing poop at cops and convention goers in St. Paul last week.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
TB … so they had 3 families in Ohio:
1 making 32k combined
1 making 64k combined
1 making 213k combined
then they looked at each candidate and how their tax plan would help each family
lowest family would get 2200 back
middle family would get 500 back
highest family would pay more in taxes (no number given, but ‘thousands’ was used)
I’d make a socialism comment, but some folks might get pissed.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
“To alochol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems!”
September 10th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Wait, so in addition to being in Tomb Raider, Laura Croft is also a Playmate?
September 10th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
If you make over 250K a year. Yeah, your taxes suck.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
@Benji
You got it. Great line.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
TBL, what are the numbers for Mccain’s tax plan? Those don’t sicken you more?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
TBL-Were talking about Ohio…shit state(Joking).
1 making 213k combined- lets say 2-3k they still 211-210k left, oh they are going to need welfare.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
is commenting broken? this is a test.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
no, actually. plenty of his other stances do, though. but that’s enough out of me.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
odd. I made two comments and submitted and neither showed up.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
If you make over 250K a year. Yeah, your taxes suck. How dare people work hard and earn lots of money. They should be happy we don’t throw their asses in jail too.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Why am I the only one getting the wierd quote marks?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
I meant weird. fuck.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Jesus. It’s only September and everybody can’t stop this.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
palin is fucking with pulled’s quotations.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
No no TBL. You gave the taxes breakdown for 3 families under the Obama plan.. don’t leave us hanging, what were those same numbers under the Mccain plan?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Republicans: helping those who already have the means to help themselves since the 1940’s.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I see no problem with a family making less money getting more back, A) they need it more and B) it drives consumer purchasing from a lower income class …I don’t see heavily taxing corportations though…they will pass it to the consumer and in de facto hurt the economy…
September 10th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
As if this quality only applies to people with big paychecks.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
if you cant beat em, don’t let em vote?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
The means to help themselves …
Class warfare at its finest. You should be proud, August. I’m already sending checks to Clown and Maggs — should I add you to the list, too?
When the Dems lose the election this year, they should just re-brand the party name the People’s Republic of America and get it over with.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
This is the world CBH and Mike NYC live in
September 10th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
It’s already starting….
September 10th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
This site is turning into C-SPAN everyday. I think I liked it better when TBL talked about Gossip Girl.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Here’s the link if interested, http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4433164n. Crackerjack, according to vid, McCains plan basically changed nothing for any of them (insert snarky no change comment here).
September 10th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
TBL should just have a post everyday, call it politics, and everyone who wants too can go there
September 10th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Don’t have audio so not watching your link Tampa, but I don’t assume to know shit about you, don’t assume to know shit about me.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
I think I liked it better when TBL talked about Gossip Girl.
eww gross. There’s 15 posts a day with not a whiff of politics, but tons of soccer and other shit some of us don’t care about. You don’t have to like every comment thread that gets brought up.
Nobody ever said the free exchange of ideas was required reading.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
TBL should just have a post everyday, call it politics, and everyone who wants too can go there
Agreed, I understand others not wanting to read it, and I usually don’t comment on it unless brought up by others.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
There’s 15 posts a day with not a whiff of politics
bullshit. Politics talk is in every post
September 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Don’t have audio so not watching your link Tampa, but I don’t assume to know shit about you, don’t assume to know shit about me.
Get some audio so you can hear the truth.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Irish, if by politics you mean Ohio sports, then yeah.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
@August
It was a weak attempt at sarcasm.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
aw Romo, man my thick skull is lost with out a /sincere
September 10th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
I do like the Selma Killing Policy but I am against the Bart Killing Policy…I am aching for that middle class tax cut
September 10th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
I never implied that crackerjack but you’re the one who believes it’s ok to take money from someone who earned it and give it to someone who didn’t.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
This isn’t Revenue Sharing its taxes that go to infrastructure and services the county uses and needs…All of the money is not going to a big Welfare pot…
September 10th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
That’s right Pulled: rich people just work harder and poor people are just lazy.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Read what he wrote, August:
Respond to that, please, without using Karl Marx’s “unable to provide for themselves” rhetoric.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Thanks for the check, Mike NYC – I used it to buy an Escalade. I needed something to take my 12 kids who are on Medicaid to the supermarket so we can get our WIC milk, cheese and beans. Your money helped me buy Newports and Busch Light, though.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
oh, oh, got it. my bad. i was so floored and upset with Obama’s that i called the wife and i dont recall hearing the exact #’s on McCain’s. But i recall his not changing much from the current tax plan
September 10th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
@ all:
You’re wasting your time… the government is out to get us all
September 10th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
LOL
ok, im out … gotta finish writing the day’s posts
September 10th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Once again…Did I miss my revenue sharing check from the Rich guys? It is about what percentage of taxes need to be taken to run the country and how much money people need to live on and drive the economy. Now if you want to discuss which institutions we need and don’t I am with you but there is a practicality for a person of higher income paying a tax rate…the lower income folks do purchase stuff that benefit the upper income bracket..it is an economic cycle.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
@jibbles
That is epic.
+1
September 10th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
You might not like it August but in vast majority of cases, this is true.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
“it’s ok to take money from someone who earned it and give it to someone who didn’t.”
It’s Ok to take more from someone who HAS it (I don’t care if they earned or someone else did) because it means less to their ability to survive and support a family. Obviously there are limits to it. Obama’s plan doesn’t cross that threshold, IMO, because the vast majority of the increase is what people were paying before GW’s tax cut… as I recall the economy wasn’t exactly in shambles through the late 90’s.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Pulled really? Really? Are you referencing the homeless guy or Welfare recipient to the CEO or are you going for the Dude working the 12 hour shift for $15 and hour to the CEO? Work is work…it’s all hard and there is no way to quantify your statement
September 10th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Roman, my boss works 65 hours a week, went through and paid for law school, and earns probably 15x as much as I do, at least.
He worked harder to be where he is than I have for where I am. I have no problem admitting it.
I also don’t expect him to be taxed 25% higher because of it.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
You might not like it August but in vast majority of cases, this is true.
That’s right. We can all be managers and everyone can run shit. There’s always going to be a top and a bottom economic class, but we can effect on basic levels how far down that lowest economic class lives and what opportunities they have.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
affect > effect
September 10th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Mike…I put myself through school myself work 50 hours a week at my real job and have a part time job..I am not a CEO so I work less?…that is truly asinine..you can’t quantify working harder..you can only quantify ability…stop…I am not saying your boss is getting it handed to him but doesn’t act like the guy making 35K a year is slacking either
September 10th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
How is what this statement different from Karl Marx saying, “from each according to his means to each according to his need”? Congrats, you just outed yourself as a supporter of communism.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
I also wrote that post poorly…myself through school myself..I need to go back to school
September 10th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Roman, it’s good to have you back.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
fire up the McCarthy hearings!
/what did you expect, August is from middle TN?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Pulled..in communism..they would take the guy who makes more and even him with the guy who makes less…this is not the difference in the proposed Tax program
September 10th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Thanks Mike..I miss this…It’s been a tough time
September 10th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Sorry to hear that Roman, you seem to have a lot of wisdom about life, hopefully that can help carry you through your tough time.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
In communism, they also have dance-offs with Khrushchev.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
cbh that and a lot of booze
September 10th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
If it makes you feel better RWH I’ll call it incrimental communism. Each year we make the tax code “more equal” until we get to the ultimate goal of communism. I win.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
In Soviet Russia Khrushchev Dance off you!
/This and more at my theater in Branson
September 10th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Pulled..they do mix it up every 4 to 8 years to keep things interesting
September 10th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
@RWH
Beat me to the punch.

September 10th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Congrats, you just outed yourself as a supporter of communism.
FAIL. Here’s the statement you’re looking for:
From each according to his ability, to each according to his need
I’m not a supporter of communism at all. I support the ideal that every society should be judged on how it treats it’s lower 10%.
Any more eggs of knowledge you need me to crack for ya?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
@OhNoRomo: I got it from the Fail Blog… I have been looking for an excuse to post it all day.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
I cringed while scrolling down the posts because I knew this one was coming. You can never truly prepare for it.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Well, fuck me runnin’! How could I be so stupid to confuse means with ability. I guess that negates my whole argument.
/still thinks you’re a pinko commie bastard
September 10th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
incrimental communism
Slippery Slopes are a logical fallacy and the hobgoblin of small minds. This kind of thinking makes people say that gay marriage leads to folks marrying box turtles and other asinine things.
I like how no one responded to my point that the upper class were paying higher tax rates in the 90’s and weren’t exactly struggling.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Yeah – write “Rizzuto”…in cursive.
September 10th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
no, no. pointy-headed liberal works.
/Hef
September 10th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Slippery Slopes are a logical fallacy and the hobgoblin of small minds.…and using Wiki to research a quote about Karl Marx is what then?
September 10th, 2008 at 5:02 pm
The upper class is never going to “struggle.” But, then again, that’s not the point. At all.
September 10th, 2008 at 5:02 pm
I like how no one responded to my point that the upper class were paying higher tax rates in the 90's and weren't exactly struggling.I’ll answer your question. You’re correct, the rich weren’t exactly struggling. Now answer my question about why think it’s ok to take money from one person and give it to someone else who didn’t earn it.
September 10th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
You’re cheating! Rizzuto’s not a word! He’s a baseball player!
September 10th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
…and using Google to research a quote about Karl Marx is what then?
Google led me to Wiki… took about 3 seconds of fact checking. That not good enough for you? You’re taking this awfully personally. Somebody piss in your Malt-o-Meal this morning?
September 10th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Now answer my question about why think it’s ok to take money from one person and give it to someone else who didn’t earn it.
Again? Ok:
September 10th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Who do you think you are, Maggs? I’m not taking this personally at all and you STILL haven’t answered the question.
September 10th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Plus, that money is going to things Bill Gates uses as well: roads, hospitals, national defense, disaster relief, etc. Not all tax dollars go to the poor.
September 10th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
Pulled: I’ve answered it twice! What’s wrong with my answer?

The only difference between your philosophy, August, and theft is government cooperation.

I think actually think a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.
/s did not use google or wikipedia, so may be wrong.

Hey guys, what did I miss?

Looks like the same argument as yesterday. Well, back to avoiding the internet (with good cause). Have a nice day.

Oh please, Pulled. Take that garbage to the Michigan Militia. The difference is national consent via elected officials.

Mad props to a fellow Emerson fan. I almost sourced that as a paraphrasing, then figured who cares.

Have a good night, fellas. Some food for thought:
“There are four ways in which you can spend money. You can spend your own money on yourself. When you do that, why then you really watch out what you’re doing, and you try to get the most for your money. Then you can spend your own money on somebody else. For example, I buy a birthday present for someone. Well, then I’m not so careful about the content of the present, but I’m very careful about the cost. Then, I can spend somebody else’s money on myself. And if I spend somebody else’s money on myself, then I’m sure going to have a good lunch! Finally, I can spend somebody else’s money on somebody else. And if I spend somebody else’s money on somebody else, I’m not concerned about how much it is, and I’m not concerned about what I get. And that’s government. And that’s close to 40% of our national income.”

Be good, Mike.

Mike…you sold me..NO TAXES FOR ALL!!!!!!
Good Night…and I mean it..NO TAXES FOR ALL!!!!

Over half the federal government budget goes toward entitlements (transfers from one individual to another). Saying taxes need to be high on the rich to pay for defense and stuff is complete bull. You’re for growing a class of citizens who pay no tax while soaking the rich. Who do you think is going to vote against a tax increase on someone else? Everyone needs to pay their share to keep elected officials from waving checks in front of voters in exchange for votes.

Everyone needs to pay their share
Agreed. What we disagree on is what amount (or share) is fair.

That’s probably a good place to end it. You’re completely wrong and I hope you never attain any real power but you seem like a decent guy. I respect that. You remind me of my friend from Tanzania. I’ve told him that my mission in life to keep him from becoming a US citizen. I tell him that I’ll show up at the hearing and plead with the panel not to allow him citizenship because he’ll just end up voting with the democrats anyway.

If you really, truly think your idea is the only American idea, then I have nothing more to say.

I was trying to be light hearted August. Sorry if I went too far.

Shit, Pulled. Sorry I didn’t pick up on the joking tone of that last part… it’s all good.
I’m sure I annoy the piss out of some folks on here; don’t really care. I love hearing people say why they believe what they believe, not just what. It’s fascinating to me, so thanks for the exchange. I’ll always respect sincerity, and you’re certainly that, even if it’s a position I disagree with!

Plus, I hear ‘Final Countdown’ in my head for a few seconds every time I see your avatar… Arrested Development was the best.
September 10th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
Finally we agree!!! Taxes for none, Arrested Development for all!!!
September 10th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
lowest family would get 2200 back
middle family would get 500 back
highest family would pay more in taxes (no number given, but ‘thousands’ was used)
how is that different from what it is now? And if lower income families have extra income to spend(consideringmost of the country falls in the lower and middle brackets), wouldn’t that help the economy?

Lower income families are too lazy to spend the money they get from not working hard.
/sincere, good night.

Actually, the early nineties were pretty hard on alot of people. The technology boom saved the economy…even Bill Clinton admitted that he raised taxes on the upper class way too much and way too fast. I know my parents almost lost their house because of the tax increase nailed them. Yes, they made a good amount of money, but they also had 5 kids and hadn’t prepared for the sudden huge increase in taxes.
Anyways, the major problem I have with taxing the rich more is that it’s giving more money to the government. I have no problem with rich people paying a higher percentage, but Obama and crew are going to effectively take away greater than 60% of the upper tax bracket’s income…and for what? More wasteful spending? We have bridges falling down all over the country, but there are 134567145781457 new bridges/roads/godknowswhatelse with Senator Byrd’s name on it in West Virginia. There is no need to give Congress access to more tax revenue, when it can’t stop itself from wasting the money it already gets.
