Yay! Now someone tell me why Wall Street is going nuts.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
cracker jack..it is because people over extended themselves and banks and investment firms got greedy…offered loans to shady prospects and investors over invested in the fast rising real estate market….It sucks..it effects people all the way up and down the income class scale and it will take a few years to clean up the mess..
September 16th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Roman, can’t we just blame republicans and Kobe? I need to put a face on it.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:23 pm

September 16th, 2008 at 3:26 pm

September 16th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
@cracker jack: don’t worry about the CEO’s. i read one of them got a $170 million severance/buyout/retirement payment for whatever reason. just unbelievable.

September 16th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
I just read the FFL league thing. Are you guys awarding points for each time they blink their eyes?
September 16th, 2008 at 3:35 pm

Many severance packages are actually determined before the executive is even hired. Think of it as guaranteed money, a la Barry Zito, where even when you screw up, you get paid.
This isn’t hard.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
no, 2 QBs is the biggest reason for the big pts. you think that is isanse, you should see the MLJ group. 2 pts per completion. Cutler had 107 pts.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
2 pts per completion. Cutler had 107 pts.
That league can’t be taken seriously.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
cbh-talk to spencer.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
That’s why I drafted Tom Brady. He’s a completion machine. Still got me 48 points this week.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
If you know the scoring going in, any system is fine.
Fantasy football is varying degrees of suck anyway.
Roto all the way.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
and you still lost…
September 16th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
Per completion? Well, that sounds odd.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
That league can’t be taken seriously
and that is why i said fucking wow. Sparty was getting all froggy for no reason. you already know what i think of you. But keep asking me to come check out your basketball preview in Sept
FUCK YEAH
September 16th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
What’s the difference? Seriously, I don’t know.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Holy shit, he has it that way in our TBL 2 league, I scored 123 points and I was one of the low scorers.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Ive never played in a league where you get points for completions or receptions.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
@Mike: Well, roto is for baseball/basketball. It requires more skill, IMO. Once the draft is over, fantasy foosball is just flipping coins each week.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
irish-i was sincerely curious what the double wow was for. i thought it was for Dark Helmets Helmets futility, being outscored 2-1 by just about everyone on the league.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
@mike: rotisserie is continuous scoring by using statistical scoring categories for fantasy baseball (maybe football too, although i’ve never seen roto football). fantasy football is done with head to head matches.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
irish-i don’t know what you think of me. i get very confused. one sec we are buddy buddy over the Magic missing 3 pointers. then i’m a bitch for saying I like MLJ.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
To put it simply, in Roto (the standard way of playing Fantasy Baseball) you add up all of the stats you’re keeping as the year progresses. If you are leading in a category (say HRs) in a 10 man league, then you get 10 points. The person with 2nd most HRs gets 9 and so on. At the end of the season, you sum up everyone’s points and whoever has the most wins.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
i use to play roto basketball. Karl Malone was great.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Fantasy is for nerds who live in their dad’s basement. Roto is for nerds who live in their mom’s.

September 16th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Bruno back on the radio… “beautiful!” as he would say.
Any chance this gets covered in these parts like that other show that keeps getting run here? I’m guessing no…
September 16th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Miz here is his obituary
September 16th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
I read the same one here, Tampa.
September 16th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
HA!
September 16th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I read about all of that at http://www.creedthoughts.gov/www.creedthoughts
September 16th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
@sparty- first and foremost, the Magic dont miss 3 pointers. they make it rain. Second, just like Mizerle said the other day, quit confusing me with that other guy. And third, the first wow was for letting sportsgal into a league
September 16th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
irish, you rule.
