PM Roundup: The Team that Time Frerotte
Baseball, College Football, Golf, NFL September 17th. 2008, 3:15pm
Marisa Miller sure does know how to dress to the 9’s, doesn’t she?
I want to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone I offended yesterday by saying such mean, nasty things about America’s 2nd favorite Quarterback, Tony Romo. What can I say? I guess I’m just a hater. I had no idea there were so many closeted Cowboy fans on the site. He truly is a national treasure and I’m sure the Cowboys will win lots and lots of Super Bowls in his tenure as starting QB.

The PM roundup is 1000% better when the images aren’t blocked by my work firewall.
They’re 10000% better when Marisa Miller is included.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Marisa Miller gets filled with douche every night. She loses points for that.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
I was watching the Chargers/Broncos game at the airport on Sunday and there was no sound. Could you hear the whistle on TV?
That link asks the questions I wanted to know, like what possibly would make him blow his whistle.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Shanahan went for two because he has balls (looking at you Romeo).
Nice to see you coming around on the american treasure that is Tony Romo.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
“I want to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone I offended yesterday by saying such mean, nasty things about America’s 2nd favorite Quarterback, Tony Romo.” CRM
What are you apologizing for again? Speaking your mind and the truth? Bollucks.
Oh, what this? I should have kept reading.
“He truly is a national treasure and I’m sure the Cowboys will win lots and lots of Super Bowls in his tenure as starting QB.” CRM
Well played, kind sir.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
If you look at the replay Hochuli is behind Cutler so I don’t think he could see what really went on to cause the ball to come out of Culter’s hand. You could hear the whistle on TV, but it was sort of late, it seemed like the ball was all ready on the ground when he blew the play dead.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
anyone to syracuse would be an upgrade.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Rank Mir > Frank Mir
/Clown’d
September 17th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Only a pussy apologizes or even pretends to. You going all Kornheiser on us?
September 17th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
The ball has to hit the turf before it is an incomplete pass…
September 17th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Re: Hochuli. It sucks real bad when you, as an official, are involved in such a call. I worked a state playoff hoops game last year and one of my partners made a similar atrocious call that cost a team the game with 0:00.1 on the clock. It still bothers me how that game ended, and I wasn’t even the one who screwed it up.
In other words, cut the guy some slack, he knows he f’ed it up and he’ll be an even better official because of it.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Hochuli is owning up to his mistake. Got to respect him for that. It happens. He apologized and was docked by the association, so that’s that. Still like the guy. It sucked that the play cost the chargers the game, but instant replay has ruined the sport anyway. Mistakes are going to be made. If your going to have replay, then please get rid of the blown whistle stuff. Please.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
oops, I meant on the ground for a while, it bounced a couple of times and the Charger player was almost on it.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
SYRACUSE, NY — Herm Edwards accepted a deal to become Syracuse’s head football coach today…
September 17th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Yeah, I was thoroughly confused at the airport, as was everyone else.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Sorry I blew the whistle
/ Too $hort
September 17th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
even him
September 17th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
But I would have to think that there are better jobs to be had for Lane Kiffin than Syracuse. He would be remiss to not listen to other options.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Let me get this straight: you want Herm Edwards RECRUITING?!
September 17th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
I keep trying to read the post, but I just can’t… I just, can’t.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
What can I say? I guess I’m just a hater. I had no idea there were so many closeted Cowboy fans on the site. He truly is a national treasure and I’m sure the Cowboys will win lots and lots of Super Bowls in his tenure as starting QB.
CRM-was this so hard? Most positive thing Ive herd you say in a while. What a breakthrough.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
CRM,words cannot describe my appreciation for these pics of Marissa. Actually, yes they can: “Dammit… I finished already?”.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Marisa Miller makes me want to bum some coke off her.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
TBL – lay the 4.5 with K State tonight.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
A true sign of the economic apocalypse. If I can’t get unlimited pasta or a cheap plate of popcorn shrimp, I might as well just move to Darfur.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Tampa Bo – You’ve been a positive influence in my online life. I’m going to turn it all around.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Marisa Miller makes me want to sniff coke off her bum..
/if I did coke
September 17th, 2008 at 3:43 pm

September 17th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
CRM-Love>Hate…Its that simple.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
not saying he is good. just better than Robinson.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
@ RWH
I owe you a Coke…or some coke.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Damn you CRM. I was just starting to get some work done. Then, you went all Marisa on me. My goodness.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
@CRM- you’re not going to respond to comment #9? i am surprised
September 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Sparty is right – Freaking Matt Millen would be an upgrade over Robinson. Hank Stram’s corpse would be an upgrade…
September 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
The Wall Street article was cute.
There is real truth in what the economic struggles will do to sports. It won’t be long before there is some true backlash to attendance, advertising (and TV) dollars, luxury box sales, profitability and salaries.
It’s probably 2-5 years away, but there will have to be a major downshift in the dollars that are thrown around.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
The Tribe just announced their 2009 schedule. That isn’t the real news.
The worthy news is that the Tribe will help the Yankees christen the new Yankee Stadium on Thursday, April 16, 2009.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
irish – If he truly believes that a fake apology in the form of sarcasm makes me a pussy then… I wouldn’t even know how to respond.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
broseph, Olive Garden and Red Lobster are two of the worst restaurants on the planet, I wish them nothing but harm.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
You can all ready see that at the Memorial in Columbus. The way the corporate spending has decreased in the last couple year was amazing.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
whoa, the cajun chicken alfredo and Red Lobster is the best poor mans alfredo around. plus the biscuits are the effin tits.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
at*
September 17th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
In general, I agree, but I love me some Coconut Shrimp at RL.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
I love Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
@coop- Olive Garden breadsticks are the bomb. Cant go wrong with Olive Garden. Red Lobster does sucks balls
September 17th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
effin tits
Where did this slang come from. Is this a regional thing?
September 17th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Chain restaurants are great.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
I knew people would disagree, but I f’in hate them. It’s chain restaurants at their worst, bland lifeless food cooked a month ago in a warehouse in mexico and warmed up for your pleasure. Disgusting. Expand your horizons and try some local restaurants, the food actually has flavor.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Are we getting into another Olive Garden/Applebees/Chili’s/Red Lobster suck arguement? If so, put me firmly in the, “yeah, they suck,” corner.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Tampa…you never heard that term…when things are good they are the Tits..oh and I also had some thoughts about Tony Romo
September 17th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
I pity the bitches that try to take away my Red Lobster cheddar biscuits away.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
You can have the rest of everything you mentioned, just not those cheddar biscuits, damnit!
September 17th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
wowza
September 17th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
@ coop
Probably true–I actually haven’t been to either in awhile–Red Lobster, more than 20 years.
It does bring to mind my friend who insisted, not jokingly, that Popeye’s chicken was virtually gourmet–apparently when he was a kid, the only time they ate outside the home was if they went to Popeye’s.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
WOAH I CAN COMMENT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
September 17th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
RWH-I have heard it before but this is the only place I have heard it.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
CRM…MoDiggs got out of his cage..can you put him back please
September 17th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
There are food snobs, music snobs, movie snobs, etc.
One thing they all have in common and why they annoy me, they are snobs.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
@cbh – They’re just people with different tastes from yours. You don’t need to hate on them.
/New CRM
September 17th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
I hate annoyed snobs. They always get so annoyed.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
I’m not going to argue that the food isn’t better at a chain compared to a local restaurant. That would be folly. What I will say, however, is that $5.95 all-you-can-eat soup, salad, and breadsticks at Olive Garden simply can’t be beat.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
New CRM, tell them that.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Clown that makes no sense.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I don’t like to call it snobbery as much as I like to call it me being right and you being wrong..
September 17th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
Stop hatin’, y’all.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
You’re overdoin it CRM
September 17th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Clown you are a fool.HAHA
September 17th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
i get it though. in the Northern Jersey/NYC area, Olive Garden/Pizza Hut/Dominos and places of that nature are an abomination. I am sure Red Lobster is a joke in New England.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
Thanks for Marisa Miller…good way to finish the work day.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
this “New CRM” has lasted longer than “Nice Hef”. bravo, sir.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
If you hate you must not be able to relate.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Applebees is the shit in Dillon, TX.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
i never got to meet Nice Hef.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Nice Hef was a cock
September 17th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
@sparty: Red Lobsters are non-existent in New England. I grew up in New Hampshire and could not tell you of a single one in all of Southern New Hampshire. I’m sure they exist, I just don’t know of any.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
I just hate the whole, you love chains, you’re so dumb, I am so much smarter because I like hole in the walls.
Oh you like mainstream music, you’re so dumb, I am so different and cool because I listen to undergound music.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
then what is Hef?
September 17th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
I had to eat at a damn Applebee’s for lunch today, sadly it is one of the more upscale places in Flint
September 17th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
CbH-Are you a member of the Trench Coat Mafia?
September 17th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
cbh-this is bizarro world today. i agree. if one wants to go to Olive Garden around here, so be it. I just don’t get it with all the real Italian restaurants around here that cost the same and just taste sooo much better.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
shit, Diesel, you are in Flint? I am so very sorry. That place makes Detroit look upscale.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Hef would be a Douche
September 17th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
@cbh
Agreed on the snob point, though I totally knew this band before anyone even heard of them and then they sold out. F***ers.
When I lived in Chicago, I would agree to go out to the suburbs to hang out with my in-laws only because it meant I could hit a decent Taco Bell or Wendy’s on our way back in–both of those chains in the city are a disgrace.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Thank you for your sympathy, this place makes anywhere look upscale
September 17th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
@ Diesel
Gary, Indiana would like to have a word with you
September 17th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
I disagree with the Shanahan has job security take therefore he has the cajones to go for 2. He is an above average head coach in the league and Bowlen knows this. Bowlen has seen first hand watching the nuggets struggle mightily in the late 90’s and early 2000’s with coach after coach after losing season. The Rox went thru Baylor, Bell, Leyland and were in the abyss. I ask a simple question who do you want more? Herm? Linehan? Del Rio? Norv? Nolan? ……Kiffin? Sparano? There can be no other argument. He is a hall of fame coach.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
broseph-Flint is the worst. ugh, stay away from Dayton Ave,Diesel.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
He is a hall of fame coach.
Hahahahhahahahah, homerism at its highest level.
September 17th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Thankfully I’m not in the actual city, more out by the airport in Grand Blanc or whatever the fuck it’s called
September 17th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
@ sparty and diesel
I’ll take your word for it. I moved to Ann Arbor this summer–have yet to go east of the airport or north of Brighton.
But, for the record, Gary sucks…hard.
September 17th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
Brighton-home of Drew Henson and a rehab.
