Beasley Fined by NBA for Not Cooperating in the Chalmers-Arthur Rookie Transition Bust
NBA September 18th. 2008, 6:15pm
Does this sufficiently answer any questions about the rumors of Michael Beasley’s involvement in the matter? Posted on NBA.com at 6 p.m.:
NEW YORK, September 18, 2008 – Michael Beasley of the Miami Heat has been fined $50,000 for his involvement in an incident at the league’s Rookie Transition Program earlier this month, and for his initial failure to cooperate with a league investigation of the matter, the NBA announced today. Beasley was involved in the same incident for which Miami’s Mario Chalmers and Memphis’ Darrell Arthur were previously fined.
Perhaps now the Miami media will look into this photo that has been circulating on NBA message boards for about three weeks?

So he gets fined for not snitching? What the fuck is that? Lil’ Kim would not approve.

yahoo and cbs sports have this up … nothing on ESPN

ok, espn has it, and i suspect it will be a heavily-talked about issue tomorrow.
1) ok, if beasley was the guy in the bathroom repeatedly flushing the toilet and hiding from security, why is he only NOW getting busted?
2) was this a timing thing? beasley went to the bathroom and security walked in and arthur and chalmers and the others were caught red-handed?
3) the No. 1 and No. 2 picks have both been involved in ‘incidents’ in the last 3 months. Rose with his 100 mph speeding ticket, and now this.
stern must be thrilled

It’s prolly cuz the NBA doesn’t like black people.

Stern probably gave Beasely a certain timeframe to fess up and he didn’t. Top that with the above picture and I’m sure Stern was incensed. He isn’t going to let a 19 year old kid stone wall him. Nonetheless, Beasely was making more than $50k playing high school ball. Peanuts. No weed or paraphenalia was found and I’m certain Stern feels like he was just had by three rookies. He’s pissed.

Stern SHOULD be pissed. What a blight on the NBA this is. First time in history some black guys smoke weed, they just HAD to be NBA rookies. Shocking. Disgusting. Despicable. Expect ticket sales to plummet, season ticket holders to demand refunds, and a necessary govt bailout soon to follow.
