Stephen King in Bristol Should Be Funnier
ESPN, Video September 28th. 2008, 11:27amAwful Announcing found the newest SportsCenter commercial to hit airwaves tomorrow. With Stephen King as the ghost writer, this puppy should have been an easy laugh. Instead, it’s more of a “ha, that’s funny” as opposed to laugh out loud tomfoolery.
Would have been much better if King got in Anderson’s face and began speaking in tongue and chanting the work of the Devil. Then he grabs the camera and stares into it screaming and yelling about the highlight copy.
That’s what I would do, anyway.

Oh, but when they imply that Derek Jeter has superhuman or other-worldly powers, they’re actually serious. Yeah, I’m a Red Sox fan.

King should have compared Steinbrenner to the Crimson King, alone and crazy on his balcony.
