Brewers Win Wild Card, AL Central TBD
Baseball September 28th. 2008, 5:08pm
CC Sabathia came through with another complete game proving he may in fact be a robot. Sabathia gave up one run on four hits with seven strikeouts. Ryan Braun broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 8th with a two run homer. He needs to keep his shirt tucked in. Seriously; what the hell is with that? I’m a Cardinals fan and I want the Cubs to go the World Series because I cannot stand that stupid untucked shirt thing. I hope the Cubs destroy the Brewers. You, you uh, don’t care about that, do you? Sorry.
The other part of the equation for the Brewers is the Mets’ 4-2 loss to the Marlins. At this point, I’m starting to feel bad for Mets fans. ÂÂ
In the AL, the White Sox snapped their five game skid with a clutch performance from Mark Buerhle. He went seven innings and gave up one run on nine “scattered” hits. The people of Minnesota do not approve of Cliff Lee right now. Had Lee been healthy, he would have started instead of Bryan Bullington. As it stands, the Sox will meet the Tigers Monday for a makekup game. If Chicago wins, they will host a play-in game against the Twins on Tuesday. This is because the Twins got a great start from Scott Baker and are winning 4-0 over the Royals. EDIT: the Twins won 6-0.
CC Sabathia is expected to start for both the Tigers and White Sox tomorrow.

Suck on justice, New York City. This is fantastic. If only the BoSox had missed, this would’ve been amazing, but that’s just greedy. Mets blow, hahahaha.

Why the disdain for the Brewers? I enjoy.

anyone else find it comical that the Mets are about to lock up a joke of a GM who has only gotten to the postseason once in three years, while each year spending among the most money of NL teams?
poor NY. no postseason baseball.

Signing Omar Minaya is the worst 4 year decision since we re-elected Bush.
Good for the Brewers. Now it’s time for the Cubs to roll through the postseason. Bold prediction: Manny won’t have an RBI in the NLDS

Don’t worry. Joe Torre is in and the Mets choked again. The media will still find a way to make the playoffs about New York.

Hard to believe the Brewers pulled it off, what with how badly they were playing last week. Still, I’d rather them in than the Mets.

i am glad they are not going, it’ll make what needs to be done that much clearer. there are a TON of holes that need filling… starting with the search for a new GM…
